Buuru was the type of Ryugi who others regarded with a side-eye, and a few snide comments once out of earshot. He seemed stunted, in a way. Not only because of his eternally child-like appearance, but also his girlish voice and habit of inserting his name into his sentences. It almost seemed like his mind was as childish as his outwards appearance.
However, Buuru knew that he was more than an eternal child. He was quick-thinking, even with his speech limitations, and his singing had a comforting effect on most animals he’d encountered. Songbirds would whistle back to him, deer would calm with his singing, and scurrying lizards would pause.
He’s not a great songwriter, though. But nobody can be great at everything, right?
