~Understanding the Saturn Realm's Ranks~
Captain
The captain is in charge. They make all of the decisions, give
out most commands, and is the only one that can change ranks.
Every big decision must go through the captain first, before it
can take place. (Unless the decision is life threatening. EX: "We're
about to head straight into a planet, we need to change course
immediately!" "Wait, we've gotta let the Captain kno-" *explosion*)
Second in Command
The second in command takes over if and when the captain needs
them too. They're the Captain's right hand man and help make most
decisions that aren't a crew vote. The Second in Command is chosen by
the Crew, but the choice can be out voted by the Captain.
Look outs
Look outs are very important to the ship's survival, including
the crew. They are well respected on the ship since they are
the ones that ensure their safety. The look outs are well trusted
member's with a keen eye and a good head on their shoulders.
They alert the ship's members to coming danger. This could be
stray space debris, (especially after their planet's explosion)
meteors, and even other Goobies' ships. They are also expected
to be learned astronomers. They study space and make sure
that their course will not lead them into trouble within the
next several days. They are one of the hardest working
members of The Saturn Realm.
Gatherers
Gatherers are exactly what they sound like. They
gather things. This can be in the ship or outside
of it. When in the ship their "gathering" is done
when there is much going on and The Saturn Realm
needs more errand runners to bring things to and
from different places. When outside of the ship,
they are boasted to have the job that is the most
fun. They collect lost artifacts and bring them to
the libbrary's study nook to examine it. Gatherers
tend to switch from being crew members and back.
Scribes
Being a scribe produces a stable job. There are only
five scribes in The Saturn Realm. Although they carry
out normal jobs as well, like running errands, they
also have a special job. They are in charge of
archiving everything that they find, writing down
documentation of day to day doings, taking note on
anything even remotely important, etc. Their job
is small, but important. They also are in charge
of all important documents, such as births, meetings
with other Captains, and other such needs.
Crew Members
These are the ordinary crew members of The Saturn Realm.
They run errands, fix things, and tend to be responsible for
making meals every once and a while when other Goobie
ranks are busy. Their job is not a stable one, as they tend
to be switched out to be gatherers every once and a while.
