Alright, so I'm curious; I've always washed my fursuit head by sitting it in a shallow bath tub and scrubbing the surface with a rag, first with wool wash and then with just water after, and usually stick to using disinfectant only to clean the inside of the head.
Well I came across this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtXLlbHH6WwSooo.. he submerges the head? On one hand, I felt panicky while watching it, just imagining the foam soaking up all the water like a sponge and how it could eventually mold if you couldn't get it out.
On the other hand, I realized I would feel MUCH better if I could clean the inside of my head so thoroughly instead of just wiping the inside down and using disinfectant.
But is it safe and possible? My head is at least 1" foam all the way around. Even if I stick it on top of a fan like that guy did, would it actually dry? Or would the fan only be able to dry the surface of the foam, and not all the layers and insides of the foam? I don't know if I'm making sense.
