I think you could model some designs after animals- a tiger, leopard, snow lion etc. I think they would all be very pretty =]

I'd suggest... Dragons. Like with scales (I know, scales take FOREVER to draw, but once they're done it looks awesome) and long whiskers (Asian Lungs).
