Yes, it's happened before. The robocat litter from the space event was a freebie litter that had splits.

Oh sorry, misread your question! I suppose there's a possibility that they don't know or just don't really care for ponies. Since you could only adopt 6 and there are already 4 newborn outcomes, it's a reasonable assumption to make that they won't split. There's never a guarantee, though.

what do you mean, 'split'?

"Split" refers to what happens when one outcome grows into two or more different outcomes. For example the ginger kitten from this litter grew first into the still growing, and then "split" into one fullgrown and a PPS.
We're discussing whether or not any of the pony foals might have more than one outcome. (:

Why would I trade 10 herbs for 3 bottles of milk when I could trade 1 herb for 1 bottle of milk 10 times?

It's a trade of 10 herbs for 10 bottles of milk; the image is just to illustrate that you get multiple milk tokens (as an image with 10 of them would be quite hectic).
