One last installment of my "thinking cold thoughts" series during this crazy summer heat. This time I thought it would be interesting to draw Cody having his mind blown away by the aurora going on overhead. One of these days I'm gonna figure out how to draw mountains halfway decent but for now this will do. xD

The expression on Cody's face is /so/ pure and I just x.x love it sm <3 As for your problem with the mountains, I think it has to do with how one dimensional / flat they look? For example, the light from the moon seems to only be hitting the top of the mountains and there is little depth. The light should also be hitting the side of the mountain in places where the mountain sticks out and would also be creating a nice shadow on places the moon can't reach to make a nice contrast. I found a decent pic illustrating this: bloop it looks like you might have attempted in creating that depth from what I can see, it just needs to be more prominent.

Hopefully I don't sound pushy xD The rest of the drawing looks amazing! The sparkles in the snow is such a nice little touch, and I love the trees <3

Nah no worries, you didnt sound pushy at all. xD I also think its because i very rarely draw mountains, as well. I'm definitely stashing that picture for future reference. Thanks so much as always friend. ^^
