Located in an abandoned town in Mexico, Los Demonios are the survivors of dogfighting. They take reside
nce in a fighting place, which was recently abandoned after the police found out of it. Many people left the
ir prized fighters, desperate to evade the cops, leaving the dogs to fend for themselves. Most of the dogs
fled, eager to leave behind that place, but others remained, dutifully waiting their masters, or creating gan
gs to lead. One dog known by others as El Diablo, has decided to create a group of dutiful survivors who a
re ready to follow him loyally, and protect Los Demonios with their lives. ⠀They claim the abandoned town,
defending it from the occasional human that wanders by or rogue dog, most takin residence in the dogfigh
ting place. Within it is two fighting rings, one outdoors, and the other on the main level. It also has kennels
for the dogs, which are very similar to horse stables. The indoor ring has a viewing area for the owner of th
e owner of the place to watch from above the rest. ⠀Dogs will also live in other houses in the town, but you
will find most of them at the ring, as it is a meeting place. Outside of the town is mainly sparse shrubland,
but there is a forest not too far off with waterfalls and rivers. There's also an old diner not too far off from t
he town. You can also find train tracks running through the territory, and they use the train as a mode of tr
ansportation to get into the city that is in the distance. As far as temperament goes, Los Demonios are seen
as hostile and incredibly protective over their pack, and are seen as brutal and harsh. They will fight fearles
sly to defend their home & the dogs within it, although many are surprised by this considering how they can
be rude and hostile to fellow pack members. Still, they have their moments and can be sweet to each other.

territory
located within the infamous black forest in germany, the pack considers nearly the entire forest their territory. the northern side of the forest has sloping hills and long, even plateaus, whereas the southern side of the forest has steep inclines with its high mountains and low valleys. there is one main water source for the pack, a rocky river which runs through the forest in the middle of the pack territory. the 'camp' where the canines sleep is located on the north-east side of the forest; it is a long plateau on top of a hill, which allows the dogs to look down and see in each direction. this keeps the pack safe, for they can see any approaching predators, humans, or dogs. most of the pack does not sleep in a 'den', instead sleeping out beneath the stars. there are 2 dens however; one is for the mothers & pups, which is located in an abandoned badger den in the very center of camp so that they can be protected by the pack from all angles. the second den is the shaman & healer's den which is located on the edge of the plateau inside of an old bear's den which is carved into a rock structure that continues down the southern side of the camp. it is also important to note that while spring and summer are bathed in sunshine, autumn has constant rainfall, and winters can be rough simply because of the thick blankets of foggy cold air that bath them for weeks on end.

ranks (from high to low)
alpha pair also known a the king & queen, this is a mated pair who run the pack. one of them has power slightly higher than the other, but it can be either king or queen. the highest is whomever originated as ruler, while their mate becomes the other alpha, they are still slightly below the original alpha. while ruling together side by side for the most part, if the original ruler is killed, their mate will step down into retirement while the heir takes over as the new alpha.
heir this rank is the second in command, commonly known in other packs as beta, having power over every rank except for the alphas. typically has no blood relation to the ruling pair; although it sounds like it would be their oldest pup, it is simply the dog selected by the alphas to take their place, should they pass or retire. there is only one heir, although if the heir has a mate when they are promoted to alpha, that mate will automatically become alpha as well, although until that point they are just a regular pack member.
shaman & healer these two ranks are the third highest rank, & both are considered equals, often working together. the healer focuses on the medicinal side of things; that is, they treat the sick or injured, are present during the birth of pups, etc. the shaman is the dog who has the strongest connection to both the ancestors & the gods; they are incredibly spiritual, spending much time in prayer & supplication, being in charge of the sacrifices as well as all ceremonies.
guardian warrior & guardian hunter there is one of each of these ranks within the pack, & when the alpha pair changes (due to death or retirement) the new alpha has the ability to keep or change who these dogs are. the guardian warrior is the head warrior; they have been chosen not necessarily due to their age but due to their experience & potential. they lead border patrols, lead fight training exercises, etc. the guardian hunter is the head hunter; they have been chosen because they are seen as the strongest hunter in the pack. they lead hunting patrols, lead hunt training exercises, etc.
warriors the warriors make up about half of the pack. these are the protectors of the pack, with two standing guard at the mothers/futures den each night. they are the fighters who, should a predator or another pack attack, defend everyone else.
hunters the hunters make up the other half of the pack. they are the dogs who focus on feeding the rest of the pack. prey must be brought to the camp so that everyone has a fair share to eat; it is forbidden to catch & eat prey for yourself without sharing, & is highly punishable.
scouts these are the trainees, the apprentices, etc. the younger members of the pack, typically within the ages of 4 to 11 months. they are called scouts because they are 'scouting out their futures' aka training, within one of the other ranks.
mothers also sometimes referred to as 'queen-mothers', these are the nursing mothers of little ones or pregnant females of the pack who will soon have futures(pups).
futures the pups of the pack are called the futures because they are seen as the future of the pack; they will be the next alphas, healers, etc. they are incredibly important to keep safe. they are under 3 months of age.
underdogs these are the omegas of the pack. there are very few of these, & typically they are the small dog breeds that dont fit in w/ the rest of the back. they are still treated well, but almost seen as pups since they are so small.

religion
there are two aspects to the lost become found religion. the first is their connection to their ancestors. these dogs believe that when a dog in their pack dies, it takes its place among the stars. these canines believe that each star is one of their ancestors, although the bigger or brighter stars are gods/goddesses. when a shooting star is seen, it is a troubling sign, because it resembles the spiritual/eternal death of a god or an ancestor; typically this signifies negative changes or a threat coming in the pack.
there are 6 gods that the pack worships. 2 are the major gods, 4 are the minor gods. the major gods; Nacht is the god of the dusk/night (symbolized as a large black wolfhound w/ red eyes) & Frühe is the goddess of the dawn/day (symbolized by a white german shepherd w/ blue eyes). the 4 minor gods correlate to the 4 seasons, & each is specifically worshiped during that time of year. there is a ceremony held as one ends & the other begins, to show their respect for the falling while acknowledging the rise of the next. Frühling is the goddess of spring (symbolized by a brown & white english springer spaniel), Sommer is the god of summer (symbolized by a stocky tan boxer), Herbst is the god of autumn (symbolized by an irish setter), and Wynter is the goddess of winter *symbolized by a blue merle australian shepherd).

most of the breeds of canine found within this pack are medium to large breeds; smaller dog breeds are simply not seen, not because they are not allowed, but few small dogs have wandered across their pack, and those that they have encountered have typically not survived more than a month or two with the pack. they simply are not built for this lifestyle. the smallest dogs that are still considered 'medium' & thus big enough for pack life are around shiba inu size. there is a variety of fur-lengths, from thick-double-coats to thin-short-coats.

Dean licked his lips nervously. The group had taken in three more dogs in the past moon, which was great, but the leader was starting to worry. As Nike had proven, not all dogs were willing to bend to obey Dean's orders. Maybe it was personal for her since she had been a leader in the past, but either way, rebellion was easy with only one authoritative force. Dean wasn't expecting a mutiny to occur, but if life in Ghost Mountain had taught him anything, it was to be cautious always. Samuel saw his brother's worry and left his bundle of chamomile to Stella to put away. He trotted across the clearing, careful not to trip on any of the dug out sleeping areas. He reached the tree that Dean's den was beneath and sat next to the dark dog. "What's wrong, Dean?" Samuel asked, bending down slightly to reach his level "You look worried." Dean kept his eyes forward and his face solemn. "I am." He said bluntly "The group is growing fast." Samuel furrowed his brow. "I-Is that a bad thing?" He pressed in confusion. Dean sighed and got to his feet. "It's just...I don't feel comfortable being the only authority, you know? Like, what happens if I say something that the others don't agree with. I just want to be prepared for the worst case scenario. Maybe I should ask Niola and Kiavo for a beta." Samuel nodded. "That's fair, I guess. But for what it's worth, just know that Stella, Hayden, and I would never do anything to hurt or undermine you. And I'm sure the other dogs think the same, even Nike." Dean grumbled and shrugged, kicking a small pebble at his toes. He took a deep breath and looked around, his brown eyes eventually landing on his brother's narrow face. "I'm going for a walk. I'll be back before dusk." He smiled. The leader immediately made his way over to the entrance, leaving his brother staring after him. "B-Bye...I guess." Samuel muttered to himself. "What was that about?" A feminine voice asked from behind him. Samuel felt fear jump start his heart for a moment, whipping his head around to see the concerned amber eyes of Stella looking up at him. The medic tried his best to cover up his fright, but Stella's giggle made it clear that he had failed to disguise it. "Sorry," She apologized with a smile "I didn't mean to scare you, but Dean looked in a hurry." Samuel heaved a sigh. "He's always been like that. Paranoid mousebrain." He said the insult with a loving smile. He and his brother had been through everything together. It had crushed Samuel when the storm hit, separating the two. He could only imagine what the distance did to his brother. Stella smiled. "Where's he going." Samuel shrugged. "Probably to the spirit pool. Doesn't matter." He huffed. The male turned to his friend and smiled. "Did you put away the herbs?" Stella's expression went from concerned to excited and proud. "I did! I even sorted out some of the wrinkled leaves!" Samuel nodded his head, impressed at her intuition. "Thanks, Stella!" He praised, nudging her shoulder with his "What would I do without you?" Samuel didn't notice the feint blush creep over the female's cheeks. She cleared her throat and title her nose in the air. "You'd have a lot more work, that's for sure." Samuel nodded and smiled. She was right. Even though she was a hunter, Stella often helped out in the High Priest's den, sorting herbs and overall being good company. The two had grown close from the start, and they were good friends. "I could go out again today. Want to come with?" Samuel offered. Stella was about to say something, but the excitement drained from her face and her ears sagged. She shook her head. "No, I can't. I have to go out hunting with Hayden and the new guy, Flare." She explained "Sorry." Samuel shook his head with a kind smile. "No worries! Next time! See ya later." He gave her a promising wink and padded off in the direction of his den. Stella watched him go and sighed, looking longingly after him. She caught herself staring and shook out her pelt, clearing her throat. The hunter collected herself and went off to search for her patrolmates.

the greyhound’s paws sunk into the soft white sand as she stepped from the boardwalk on to the beach. a light inhale brought the sharp saltiness of the ocean, and her ears brought her the crash and twist of the waves, the squawking cries of seagulls and delighted cries of young children as they raced by, their feet kicking up sand. they payed her no mind except quick glances, the natives of this place at least recognizing her. she has lived in an abandoned hotel a ways down, right on the sand by the pier, for a long time. long enough that she has become a familiar face.

the sun shone down, bright and hot, warming the sand under her paws and around her. the sky, a clear cloudless blue apart from the colorful kites that fluttered and twisted with the light breeze that swept through occasionally, much to the delight of children and adults alike. the greyhound, skyler, began an easy trot in the direction of the hotel, lost in her thoughts, missing her old friend, and adventure pal bailey.

growing up, her mother had instilled a strong sense of spirituality into the black and white husky. as a pup she was fascinated by the gods and how they helped those who respected them, but also punished those who disrespected them or the earth. she would constantly be found talking to the stars at night, having full one-sided conversations with the ancestors in the sky. she had a twin sister who she was closer to than anyone or anything else. due to their mother being incredibly spiritual, both of their names had great meaning in some sort of human mythology. her name, clotho, came from one of the 3 fates in greek mythology, specifically the fate who spins the thread of life. her sister's name, cersei, came from the greek goddess of magic who was known as a bewitching sorceress. as the moons past, the sisters never left each others side as they wandered through life together; from bustling city streets to cold mountain-top peaks. upon finding the black forest they had decided to forever call it home, feeling a deeper connection here to the stars than anywhere they had been before. about a moon ago however the pair had been separated. they had stumbled across a bears den and awoken the predator; both scattered in opposite directions to flee & confuse the creature, but they also lost each other and have yet to be reunited. as she patrols the forest for any sight of another canine, she also keeps her ears perked for the sound of possible prey to fill her belly. but in the back of her mind she is praying the entire time to the gods and ancestors that she can see her sister again soon.

Scarlet Falls Pack

Pack lore/Behavior/dog size/prey types
The Pack of Scarlet falls consists of a majority of medium/large dogs. These medium/large dogs (Border collies to great Danes in size range. Sometimes a bit smaller than border collies depending on the capability of the breed) are the irontooths more specifically categorized by being Hunters or warriors. Small dogs within the pack are typically the omegas of the pack they aren't as well suited to the environment so they're assigned to tasks back at the dens. Some smaller dogs have made it to be shamans while most are assigned to smaller duties such as replacing bedding materials (if any of the dogs do decide to build nests typically they do not). Smaller dogs are also sometimes in charge of scouting out new areas of the territory or places richer with prey. Prey types for the pack consist of Mice, Large birds, Large fish, beavers, Turkey, mule deer, Elk, Bison, and the occasional human food scraps/other prey items. The pack does believe in gods but their religion is focused around the sun being their god and the moon is their goddess. They also do believe in magic but only the magic of nature (ex forest spirits, water spirits, etc). To the pack, the stars hold the souls of fallen canines everywhere.

Pack territory layout
The Scarlet falls pack resides in a cave hidden behind a roaring waterfall. The waterfall got its name because during sunrise and sunset the water seems to glint red reminding the pack of blood hence the name scarlet falls. The cave behind the waterfall has several branches from the main part of the cave all are used for different purposes. Starting with the main part of the cave directly behind the waterfall is a large opening against the back wall there is a large ledge where announcements are always made from. On the back wall next to the gathering ledge is a tunnel that leads down the cave to another opening of medium sizing this opening is lit up by glow worms scattered all over the walls and in the body of water that resides in the middle of the opening. This pool is where the Alpha comes to talk to their moon goddess and the spirits of past pack members seeing as there is a crack somewhere in the cave that lets the tiniest bit of moonlight seep through. On the left side of the cave opening, there are two openings to paths leading to the hunter and guardian/warrior dens. Wedged in between them is a crack in the wall where all the fresh kill is stored since cold air flows through the crack. on the right wall of the cave, there are two more openings leading to the shaman den and the omega den. outside the cave, there is a path that leads down from the cave opening to the ground by the river. On both sides of the river, there are expansive woodlands and mountain ranges bordering the area (They're in a sort of valley I suppose). The climate in the area stays rather chilly year-round since they're in a mountain valley and snow caps the mountains year-round as well hence why larger dogs with thicker coats tend to thrive.
