What are MYOs and where can you get them ??

"MYO" stands for "Make Your Own," and they are, essentially, customs. If you have a MYO slot, you can create/design your own Kalon. They are categorized by rarity as "Unlimited [rarity], Unlimited Under" which means that, if you were to have an "Unlimited Uncommon, Unlimited Under" MYO, you could add any/all Uncommon traits to your custom Kalon, and any/all traits of all rarities underneath Uncommon (which could be Common and Standard). There is also the "One Rare Trait, Unlimited Under" MYO, which means that you can add only one Rare trait, but any/all traits of all rarities underneath Rare.

You can create a MYO yourself, or commission someone else to create it for you. Once they are created, they must be approved by staff before use. For more information on MYO guidelines, you can check out our Customs thread!

You can purchase a MYO slot on our DeviantArt Shop here with Points or USD. You can also obtain MYOs through our HM (Honorable Mention) system. If you acquire enough HMs, you can trade them in for a MYO. You can learn more about the system on our Guidelines page (located near the bottom of the post). There is often the possibility to win MYOs during Kalon events as well.

If it's a main adopt (like, won yourself), you do not need to post anything! You'll only need to post on the archive update thread if the kalon leaves your ownership.

To adopt a Kalon, simply click on one of the adoptables on the front page and see if the competition is open. In the main post, there will be details about the contest and how to win it. Each contest is different, and each artist will judge based on different things, which will usually be detailed in the contest guidelines. Most contests involve filling out a form, and with the form with the best idea, art, or writing is picked as the winner. It all depends on the specific adopt! If you're unsure of what to do with your forms, you can take a look at some finished competitions and see what the winning forms look like to get ideas.

You can also obtain a kalon through a readoption (kalons being adopted out by non-staff that they no longer connect to) or MYO slots (purchaseable through the dA shop for points or USD). You cannot try to purchase a premade kalon in any capacity (so no art, no cs pets, no other virtual currency, no character trades, or anything of the sort), nor can you make a kalon without a MYO slot.

yeah i know about the trading thing because i bought a kalon from someone because i thought it was just a normal cat oc and a day later i had to give it back.

You'll need to get permission from Jiinxed! in order to transfer out!

At the moment, you can only use dA points or USD to purchase kalon things from the dA shop. There is no planned date for when we will reopen the CS shop.
