bluebell wasn't too sure. heuchera matched her role of well, a coral, pretty well. but if she were to be reincarnated, definitely something with high stamina and endurance. despite chera being rather reserved, bluebell thought of her as being an adventurer, someone who would love to roam grasslands and beaches under the sun, moon and stars. bluebell didn't exactly think it was fair to speak for chera, but at the same time she knew that heuchera would easily give up her life as a coral and become a creature that could travel and see much more than the bubbles in their tank.
xxxxafter a great deal of thinking, bluebell had been stuck between two animals that she thought fit heuchera rather well: a pronghorn or an alpine swift. an alpine swift may be the more sillier of the options, since they and chera live in completely opposing habitats, but according to bluebell, heuchera would adore to soar through the skies and above water, even. in fact, bluebell had ultimately decided this due to finding out how the birds were able to stay aloft for up to 200 days. for being able to fly that long, chera would adore it.
xxxxas for a pronghorn, they've been know to be able to reach speeds of 98 km per hour, which would surely interest heuchera as something they would be reincarnated as, due to chera's love for exploration. pronghorn, as well, have been known to have incredibly keen vision, which bluebell likes to think chera would have if her coral had eyes.
xxxxin the end, bluebell couldn't exactly decide between the two, but as long as they're able to travel across the world, chera would be overjoyed.

“If Wilson was something other than a coral, what would he be?” Cecelia repeated the question while browsing the Internet for unique animals. “Does it have to be a real animal? I feel like he would be a mythological creature.” She looked over at Wilson, titling her head. ”Well, you would probably spend your time trying to get everyone’s attention. You seem to think you are the best looking coral, Wilson.” She laughed to herself and leaned back in her chair, continuing to think. Definitely not a unicorn, that is way too cliche. Oh— I know! You would totally be a phoenix!”

Now confident in her answer, Cecelia began to babble. “A Phoenix is perfect, buddy! They supposedly are born again, just like you! They gain new life from the ashes of what came before. She clasped her hands, quite proud of the choice she made. A Phoenix was both flashy and beautiful, just like Wilson. Although mythological, Cecelia believed it still counted. Enke never said it could not be a mythological creature. “Pretty soon you will be as free as a Phoenix.”

It really fit Wilson perfectly, from his made up personality to his orange-yellow coloring. “Beauty comes from ashes, and from ashes comes new life.”

The beach is quiet so early in the morning, as Nalu begins her routine trek to the quiet pier. At least, she would've gone to the pier if not for the strange noises from the tide pools. Shrieks, tiny giggles, and a racket of noise. It peeks the ginger heifer's interest enough to mosey her way over, still rubbing sleep from her eyes. And she rubs her eyes even harder once she comes upon the scene.

A tiny, little creature, no larger than a hand, perches upon a miniature mountain of rocks. Nalu's sure she's sleep walking as the tiny mermaid chucks pebbles at a pair of hermit crabs, who seem to be fighting over a piece of kelp. The tiny, green haired mermaid squeaks at the pair, cheeks reddening as she fusses at the feisty crabs.

"I'm dreaming," Nalu mumbles to herself, creeping closer. The crabs drop their prize, retreating into their shells. The mermaid turns white as a ghost at the sight of such a large being, chunks a pebble at Nalu's nose, and disappears into the waves.

The mermaid hides among kelp at the edge of the sea, afraid to go any farther. Eventually, the giant being retreats, rubbing their nose and mumbling about 'coffee.' Lucky doesn't know what coffee is, but she's sure it's horrendously horrible. Probably as horrendously horrible as the open sea. She hops back into the safe, calm waters of the tide pools and perches atop her pebble palace once more.

The small mermaid looks longingly towards the huge waves, though it wasn't the scary ocean she longed for, but home.

What would your coral be if not a coral?:
If Geraldine were to be something other than a coral, she would be a flower. However, she wouldn't be just any flower. Geraldine would be a Queen Elizabeth Rose (Rosa 'Queen Elizabeth'). Geraldine would be a flower in the first place in order to continue her journey of growth. This change would actually be beneficial, as Rosaline can be very impatient at times and knows that flowers grow at a much faster pace. This rose, however, would pertain to Geraldine's aura of elegance and royalty. Geraldine views herself to be a queen, or a princess at the very least, and hopes everyone else does as well. Aside from their fitting name, these roses are a lovely pink, some similar to the hues Geraldine carried in her youth but unfortunately let go of. The petals very much resemble her floral shape and growth patterns as well. Pushing all of this aside, there's one major yet very simple reason that Geraldine would be a rose, which is Rosaline. Rosaline has grown incredibly attached to this coral and would want something that would fit right in all over again. Maybe in her already existing rose garden, a pot on a sunny windowsill, or petals scattered amongst the gardens. Either way, Rosaline doesn't want to lose her dear friend, and what better place for a rose, than with the Rose family.

Taima paused, taken by surprise at the question. She gazed at the growing coral for some time, tapping a hoof against the ground in careful thought. Now... what exactly would Gaia be if she weren't a coral? The question raised many questions and observations that she hadn't thought of before.

A cute, dainty little field mouse? No, no... too shy and timid. A bird of sorts? No, no, doesn't feel like... Gaia. Taima kept deep in thought, picturing Gaia as various different living creatures, even as a Buttermilk. Yet, none of the things she came up with seemed to fit the personality she had forged for her new friend. She lowered her head, resting it against her chest a moment as she fell deep into her thoughts, gaze unfocused as it kept rested on the yellowing coral.

Closing her eyes, Taima let the world of daydreaming take over, to aid her in her answer.

The sound of rushing water filled her ears, a gentle ambiance of nature emerging from the now-distant sounds of Buttermilks talking. Birds cried out overhead in their gentle song. Taima's back was warmed by the afternoon sun yet a soft breeze rustled at her ears. When her eyes opened, a beautiful forest was revealed before her, a clearing that showed a waterfall. The quick water rushed off the side of a mountain, bubbling into a clear water lake that swarmed with fish of all sorts.

Grass tickled her legs as the wind brushed past each strand. The branches overhead rustled, jumbling together. With a soft exhale, Taima felt herself move towards the lake slowly, the grass crunching softly beneath each hoof. Finally, as she drew closer, she noticed the wildlife swarming around. Butterflies fluttered peacefully in the breeze, wings spread wide and mighty. A few rabbits littered the grass, munching away, oblivious to the newcomer.

Sweeping over the clearing, Taima took everything in, including the one thing she missed. A grand white-tailed deer was drinking from the lake, its brown fur a soft shade of honey beneath the sun. Its ears flicked up when it heard her draw to a stop nearby, slowly lifting its head to focus its hazel eyes on her. It stood still, standing tall and proud, unfrightened by the Taima. A beautiful addition to the scenery crafted by her mind, staring her down with twinkling eyes.

It struck Taima right in the chest. She lurched up from her spot, gasping. She was back in the booth, face to face with an unamused Enke, who gave a low: "Well?"

"Gaia would be a white-tailed deer, proud and mighty." She whispered, voice shaky.

What would your coral be if not a coral?: Shakecup would probably be a tree found in the redwood forest; better known as giant sequoias. So he has a similar purpose as a coral, just on land. Instead of housing sea creatures he'd be home to thousands of bugs and all kinds of small mammals. If some person or animal is tired, they can rest in his roots and not worry about a single thing.
He doesn't provide food like fruit but he does offer a comforting place to be. Shakecup wouldn't be able to necessarily communicate with someone like an animal now, but he'd be pretty happy to let people enjoy his silent company.
Sometimes, that's all you need.
He's probably pretty upset, internally, about where the world is going. People focusing on things that aren't important in the big picture and missing out on tiny details that are. He dislikes technology which, maybe he's biased because he's a tree, but it makes him a little brighter to see families and young people travelling his forest and walking among his brethren.
Overall, Shakecup would be happy to be reincarnated as a tree; especially such a majestic one. He still provides a shelter for all living things, grows from a little sprout and gets to provide a breathtaking picture to those that look at him.

Were Cadenza not a coral I believe she would be a fairy (no not disney or your stereotypical adorable teeny bopper with wings, no no think winx club!) Glorious wings, hair and outfits! Not to mention the stunning transformations. What do you mean would she be a specific transformation? Do you know how many there actually are these days?! Alright alright if you must insist in such a manner, she'd be a Believeix fairy. She'd user her powers to make people believe in magic and order to rescue nature. As any good magical Queen should!

She'd have long flowing golden orange hair a colour that matches her coral self of course. With brilliant yellow eyes that almost seem to glow with a light of their own when she uses her magic. Speaking of magic she'd be using dream magic specifically. She couldn't be The fairy of dreams as alas, that title is already claimed by someone else. Cadenza would no doubt be a powerful force of good, strongly using believing in her own strength of will and fighting evil wherever it might spawn.

Naturally she'd be a cool and confident icon for her younger classmates at Alfea college for faeries. What with excellent grades and still having time to look graceful and fabulous.

What would your coral be if not a coral?:
If Enid was not a coral? Jolene stared critically at the creature before her, analyzing the soft pink being. If this coral was something else… What would she be? It was a hard question to answer- Jolene often let her romantic fantasies get away from her, thinking of princesses and knights and the ideal- but she never let them replace reality for her. She knew how things were, and sometimes it was difficult for her to accept things changing, or letting her imagination see something beyond what it actually was. This task was more challenging than expected.

She tried to imagine Enid as something else- and failed. It was easy to imagine with personality, because there was no facts in front of her that contradicted it. But in front of her eyes was a coral. She wouldn’t suddenly not be a coral. Maybe if she tried to think of what animal the personality she created would be- and she separated it from the coral in front of her.

Something noble, something caring- perhaps a horse. Maybe a unicorn, if she was to let herself dream. They had nobility in spades, but they were also known to be nervous. Her Enid would be a horse, Jolene decided. It fit.

What would your coral be if not a coral?:

What animal would Peach be if she wasn’t a coral? The answer seemed obvious to Bakari. A sea lion of course, just like her namesake! It seemed like a fitting match. Sea lions are quite spunky and playful! They’re kind but with lots of attitude, just like Bakari imagined Peach to be. She also knows how much Peach loves the warm light from her lamp or even the sun, and she could picture her little coral friend as a chill pinniped, raising one flipper up towards the sun to warm herself. She would continue to live an aquatic life out in the ocean the same as her coral self, but would be able to swim around and explore, having adventures with her pals. Best of all, while Peach could live happily out at sea, she would be able to visit Bakari on land if she were a sea lion, which Bakari would have loved to be true.
