"Oh my, what is ha'awina nua's personality like?" Cassidy chuckled, looking affectionately at his little tank. He's certainly spoiled. Spoiled to the core! Why, he gets a majority of my attention, and he's just so gorgeous, so how could anyone blame him."

She grinned, motioning his way. "Not only that, but he's beginning to get a bit of color, look at that lovely blue hue. I suppose if he were to wake up one day as a human, he really would be a brat. I would do anything for this little guy, and he would certainly take advantage of that. Can you see it now? Him laying on a chaise lounge, ringing a little silver bell so that I might attend to his every need? I know that sounds a bit silly, but I genuinely think that's just... who he would be!"

She stopped to catch her breath, realizing she had been droning on a bit about her spoiled child. "You know, now that you mention it, I wonder what he would say about himself, y'know? Probably just gush on and on about how handsome he is, what a narcissistic!" Laughing, she shook her head, now stuck on that question of what would her coral be like if he became sentient, and could speak. It was like that feeling when you try to talk to your dog and promise you wont tell anyone that they can talk. Infuriating.

If you asked Thalia what Spooks was like, she'd call them a pain in the ass and honestly, Spooks would have to agree. The only difference was tone. Thalia found Spooks exhausting. Spooks, on the other hand, found themself a delight. A poltergeist at it's finest, Spooks was built to be a minor nuisance and boy were they good at it. They are a very proud being. In fact, much of their time is spent telling themself how great they are because they are definitely not insecure in any capacity thank you very much.

On top of the mischief, they often give off a lone wolf I don't need anyone or their approval vibe. They like looking 'cool' and cool people don't have friends as far as they're concerned. However, in actuality, Spooks is extremely needy. They hate being left alone for any extended period time and handle boredom about as well as any five year old would. They also hate being ignored. If someone is the room and not ogling over their glorious form then surely they must do something to capture the limelight. More significantly, when they manage to get it, they bask under praise and affection. There's nothing they love more than a good pat on their head - even if they may pretend to hate it at the time.

"oh, she'd definitely be a sweet girl." Callie explained, "I can tell she'd be someone who wouldn't just say things, she'd act on them. I'm guessing she'd be easy to talk to, kind and full of charm."

Callie waited for Enke to respond, but instead, he raised his eyebrows. More? Oh, well, ok. Callie stammered. I think she'd be a dreamer. You see, someone with a big imagination and the ability to be creative. She seems to passionate too! I bet she'd have no trouble making friends.

Now Enke responded, "I'm... intrigued."

Callie turned to look at her coral, sitting quietly in the soft sand, surrounded by some fishy friends. If I'm being honest, she started, looking directly at Enke. "She seems to me like she'd prefer some alone time. I can't really explain it, but when I look at her, I don't know, I just feel calm. Like I could just spill all my thoughts and she wouldn't pity me. Instead, she'd try to help." Callie finished with a shrug. "I honestly couldn't tell what she'd be like." She laughed. "But, I do know that everyone would like her, and she would like everyone!" She paused, smirking. "Though I'm not so sure she would like you..."

Enke grumbled about how he wasn't that bad, while Callie grinned, looking at her prized coral.

"What's their personality?" Mia scoffed, raising a brow at Enke. She seemed highly unamused, as though someone had just played some sort of prank on her. And, in fact, she did think that Enke was kidding at first, making some sort of joke at her expense.

"You can't really be serious?" she breathed in disbelief.

However, as he stared back at her blankly, Mia realized he was actually serious. She was taken aback slightly at that realization, but soon recovered and began to think about his question seriously. What would her dear little Maui be like if they could speak?

"Well..." she began, still deep in thought, "I think he would be..."

Mia stopped short and let out a quick huff, "This is so silly! How am I supposed to know what Maui would be like if he could speak?"

Enke just raised a brow at her, a stern look on his face - as though he was daring her not to answer his question.

"Fine!" she huffed, before continuing, "I think he would be a very shy boy, but someone who is still friendly and popular."

The girl stopped for a moment before adding, "And I think he would be so popular not because of his good looks - though, make no mistake, he would be good looking - but, instead, because of his kindness. I bet he would be considerate to a fault, too, and probably more than a little silly."

Another pause.

"Yes, and I think he would have a wicked sense of humor, too, and be able to make anyone smile."

What is your coral like?:
Her name is Cadenza, clearly she'd be a queen. Everyone would bow to her and obey her every command! The fact she's growing into this lovely golden yellow color and proud shape only proves all of it to be true. Though despite her commanding ways, Cadenza would be the wise and beautiful Queen who loves her subjects great and small. Her kindness would know no bounds but heaven forbid someone try and take advantage of it.

Cadenza would be merciful and fierce in her reprimanding of those who would try and take advantage of kind ways. Those folks would surely learn the hard way just how foolish an endeavour it would be. But surely she would not always be this great flawless and merciful queen I hear you ask and you would be correct. Cadenza would be kind of easily distracted, she'd know that she'd need to concentrate? But there was just something so interesting running through her mind that she simply had to think more about!

She'd be a little mischievous too and rather a little too sassy for most peoples liking. Able to disguise her thoughts and feelings on certain subjects from those that are involved and speak her true intentions to those she trusts.

Taima was settled by her tank, resting her gaze on it as she appeared to be listening intently. But to... what? She lifted her gaze up as she heard the question before glancing back at it curiously as she considered it word for word. Taima did spend the days with Gaia getting to know the coral and developing a personality for it whenever she addressed the young aquatic invertebrate.

"Well.." Taima sat up a moment to think carefully on how she would describe Gaia, or how she concluded the coral would be if it were it a Buttermilk. With consideration for each trait, Taima took a slow inhale as she kept her gaze on the coral, which was now sported pointed arms and a soft yellow tone to it.

"Gaia... if she could talk, I suppose she would be one sassy individual. That yellow gives her personality a little hint of an attitude that bubbles beneath the surface of a well-defined female who has an obsession with pearls. Gaia would for sure be a fashionista," Taima chuckled to herself as she rattled on, "Someone who has quite the expensive taste in clothing and accessories. If she could talk, she'd gone on about how her tank wasn't as dashing and extravagant as she would want. Though, Gaia means well. She's a sweetheart through and through... she just doesn't know how to do it properly."

Taima felt a small smile curl at her lips. "Gaia is like... that awkward step-aunt that doesn't know how to get you to warm up to her. She tries to spoil you with expensive gifts but it takes her forever to ever say 'I love you' to her own step kids. She just.. has a hard past." She blushed faintly, giggling to herself now as she realizes how far in-depth she has gone with the growing coral.

"Gaia has quite the sense of humor though. I feel she would make for a great protective best friend who would hype her friends up when needed. She has confidence and ego the size of the sun." Taima beamed proudly as she shook her head when she concluded how exactly she would see Gaia being if she could talk or be a Buttermilk.

"she's kinda purple, i guess, but only when the light hits just right. otherwise she looks pretty gray. like a shiny gray, though. she kinda sparkles in the sunlight." she smiled at her description. "yeah, she's pretty. she's my pretty little coral." she thought for a moment, then added, "i think she's got a personality, too. nothing you can really see, you know, but when i think about her i picture her as kinda spunky. like me, i guess." she chuckled. If only Solstice could speak! Ohhh the things they'd say! Solstice has always looked from the inside out, what a drab way of life. They long to be part of the ocean someday, feeling fish fins and octopus legs tickle them as they drift by. If only Solstice could have a conversation with them! They'd talk for hours about what they saw that day. The really cool sea turtle that floated by and looked so calm and caring yet hard as a rock! The spooky rockfish that glared from the sand below and hardly moved all day. The surprisingly kind lemon shark that waved as she sailed through the crystal clear waters.

The tasty microorganisms would find their way into Solstice's conversations! Oh how they loved those tiny bacteria, munching on them all day long as they floated right into their mouth! It made Solstice think of drooling just thinking about it! They'd say hello to the sun every morning, thanking it for giving life to the ocean, and goodnight to the moon every evening, blessing it for making those playful waves and currents that brought dinner in. They would only ever see the good in things, having been raised from a lump in a fish tank, and encourage everyone around them to do the same! For what's a life without a little sunshine?

Amour was ecstatic to tell Enke about her imagined personality for Vivian.

“I’ve always thought she’s quite similar to myself,” the bubbly Buttermilk began. “I’m sure she’s full of life, all jokes aside. Just look at how happy she looks with all her plant pals in the tank!” She exclaimed, motioning towards the motionless little coral. “I know she’s bubblier than... well... a bubble bath!” Amour struggled to find a fitting analogy. “If she could smile, she’d have one that can ligt up the room. She definitely wants to make everyone happy, and I’m sure she knows how to. If she doesn’t, she’ll still try her best. She’s got a huge heart, much bigger than her own petite being. She loves everyone from the smallest shrimp to the scariest shark.” Amour giggled as she imagined a coral befriending a shark.

“She’d be a familiar face to every fish in the sea. She’d never pass up an opportunity to chat, whether it’s to crack a joke or just check in, Vivian would never pass someone without speaking. It’s without a doubt that she’d be the life of the party!” The Buttermilk’s enthusiasm on this topic was clear, and it seemed very clear how similar the cow and the coral were in the heifer’s head. “She’s always so joyful, I’m sure there would never be a dull moment in her life or the lives of those around her,” she concluded. What is Enid like? The newest question for Jolene to ponder. She looked at her little coral- it had grown so much, now. There were two branchlike structures, both colored a faint pink. She tried to imagine what it would be like if Enid could speak. What sort of things would she say?

Enid would be a little bit like a princess, Jolene thought. She’d always liked princesses herself- the stories and fairytales were always better when there was a princess as the hero. Princess should be charismatic and kind and caring. But they also needed their own personality- so what would Enid’s twist be?

Enid would be a loving princess, but she’d be a worried one. Jolene dealt with a lot of worries herself- so she saw that trait in her coral. But Enid was great at dealing with her worries. She had her whole coral court to help her out. Jolene imagined the fish decoration would be Enid’s castellan. He would help her manage all her duties so they wouldn’t be overwhelming. This rock needed to be polished, he would say, and Enid would have it be done.

And Enid would treat all members of her court well- everyone had an important role, and she treated everyone with great respect. Her coral would be fair to all, from the smallest pebble to the largest rock.

Jolene sighed, imagining her own little coral-tale world. She hadn’t imagined owning a coral would be this fun.
