What is your coral like?:

Bakari knew that it wasn’t very wise to personify the animals she cared for, but she always found herself doing it regardless. She liked to think that her little coral friend would be very similar to her namesake, one of the heifers most beloved animal pals from the aquarium. Her personality would mirror that animal’s. This is why she has been taking care of her so specifically, and decorating the coral’s habitat so precisely. She imagined that Peach would be a generally laid back individual if she wasn’t a coral. She would usually find herself just, you know, going with the flow of things and doing whatever to please everyone else. Generally pretty low maintenance. That would be usually, at least. When she did need attention, she would make sure everybody was aware. Peach would scream and throw a tantrum until someone paid enough attention to her. Don’t let that intimidate you though, normally she’d be very sweet and kind and a good listener. She would love to please and be a great friend. The coral would be playful yet gentle with her friends. Not just similarly to her namesake, Peach would take after Bakari for her love to learn, and how quickly she could pick up on new things. bluebell seems confused why enke might ask this question. “i knew when i named her azurina, she was never a plain jane. she’s definitely on the fiery side.. even though she’s a coral. she’s passionate, unapologetically highlighted, and basically just a diamond in the rough. i’m really glad you connected us enke.”
enke imagines bluebell’s description of azurina, seeing her standing there beside bluebell, with a smug look on her face. she had long strands of lavender hair, gleaming in the sunlight. bluebell continues to describe her.
“she’d be perfect really, as a heifer. someone you’d really want to be friends with. in fact I’m glad I’m already her best friend!”
azurina is wearing smaller triangle shaped sunglasses on the tip of her nose, leaving her deep blue eyes exposed, though they were narrowed. “she’s spirited, maybe a little bit rebellious, but still a sweetheart to the right people. she doesn’t really mind being in the spotlight, but also isn’t desperate for it. she knows people like her, and want to be associated with her. i really wish she was a heifer like me!”
enke blinks and she disappears. “she sure does sound... interesting?”
bluebell rolls her eyes. “that’s what she wants you to think too. let’s go azurina!”

Jay:
I would hope that, despite the frilliness that Bishop has begun to sprout, they are at least able to focus on the goal and keep at it. I see a bit of a dreamer - not a bad thing, necessarily, as dreams are the scaffolding for ambition, and honestly the shape that's beginning to form might work in our favor, when it comes to being effective. That'd boost Bishop's confidence... if there were any way to express that. I’m quite sure, too, that Bishop would be eager to please, or perhaps eager enough to work that the temptation to set out before being entirely prepared would be a difficult beast to tame inside of the little coral. Perhaps it’s a good thing that that particular trait cannot be expressed.

Since Bishop is still so little, I imagine a conversation - if given the ability to talk - would involve a lot of stories, a lot of “One day”-s. ‘One day, I’m going to be big and strong.’ ‘One day, I’m going to be in the ocean and meet lots of fish and other coral.’ ‘One day, I’m going to clean the whole Pacific.’ Things like that… that’s when you know someone is going to grow up and be great.

Milo, a dashing young coral. He is the handsomest boy in the sea, at least in his Mama's eyes. Milo is a kind soul, always wanting to give and help. His beautiful colors are met with glittering sparkles, resulting in a charming coral. Milo has shown to be a very determined coral, he is ready to grow big and strong to help replenish the great coral reefs. He is a playful coral, he loves to try to bounce bouncy balls and play with trinkets he finds. He also loves to watch the bubbles rise from his bubble chest, it entertains him for hours on end. He also loves to imagine and dream of the beautiful things he will see in the ocean, gorgeous colorful fish, fellow coral, large menacing sharks swimming above! Oh how it excites him. Milo is also a very artistic coral, he loves, loves colors and shapes. He pictures abstract assortments of various colors like green, purple, orange, red, and shapes like triangles, rhombuses, and trapezoids! Basic shapes aren't as fun to him as shapes made up of different shapes! Milo is a handsome coral who loves many different things, he also loves to read! He doesn't like to write however, it bored him to death. His favorite books are Where The Red Fern Grows, and To Kill A Mockingbird. What is your coral like?:

"Oh gosh, where do I begin?? You are really making it hard to not become attached," Pisces laughs, a mirthful smile gracing her lips, "I would say that Sayōnara is quite the ladies man! The fish I have in the tank with him seem to hang out around him more than they do anywhere else in the tank. It's hilarious seeing them fight over him like he's the only man in the entire world, haha!"

Pisces motions to the tank, where the fish seem to be crowded around the small coral and budging their way in to be the closest to it. They quickly disperse when the two approach the tank, and Pisces gives a soft snort at the scene.

"Honestly I think they are as excited as I am to see how he grows- I mean, he's starting to get some defining colors now and I think that as he grows, so will his overall personality. Things change all the time, some things not as easy but... I think he will grow up to be a protector.

Seeing as all of the fish like being around him, I really do believe he is already starting to become one, almost like he knows deep down that out there in the ocean, he will be protecting a lot of different marine life, even without growing there firsthand. He is definitely a very strong, and lively little thing, he is."

What is your coral like?:
Hm. If Caspian could speak… I’d like to think he’d be a positive little guy. Part of why I chose his name, it was kind of a hopeful thing, right? Looking at the Caspian Sea- a place so full of life- and then looking at what we’re trying to do here.

I think Caspian would be something like that- hopeful, looking to just do some good in the world. Having a mission and a purpose isn’t always an easy thing to find, but I think… I think he’d he pretty passionate. He knows he’s going to grow, and be an important part of something, and he’d take that pretty seriously. When I look at him branching upward in his tank, growing so well, I almost feel like there’s a determined air about him. He can’t speak, but he can definitely convey a lot of personality.

I think if he could talk, Caspian would have a sense of humor, too. One thing I do is talk to him- I think one day I missed coming to tell you about that, but I do. I make jokes too. If I didn’t know better, I’d say he likes those- almost like there’s an amused gleam in the water around him when I start laughing.

Yeah. My little friend would be a good guy to have around. Hah, now I wish he could talk.

bluebell appeared quite baffled at the question at first, but she glanced swiftly at heuchera with a huff. "well, i think chera seems to be more of the quiet type. maybe that's why i only talk to her, she doesn't like anyone else, i suppose." bluebell winked at enke, before continuing. "she's a bit impulsive, and will blabber on about whatever she thinks about without taking into consideration what could happen. chera calls herself a risk taker when she does that, i just call her mindless. because. y'know. she doesn't have a ... brain." bluebell giggled nervously at her own joke, which made enke more unamused than he already was. "anyways," she began again. "i think heuchera is quite the adventurous soul as well. if she had a some legs, she'd probably be strolling around the place." bluebell paused for a moment, staring at chera. "you know what, scrap that. i don't want to imagine her with legs."
xxxxbluebell had stopped talking momentarily, and approached chera slowly. her tank's water glittered as small strips of seaweed and plants swayed calmly, heuchera laying in the middle, completely idle and motionless. looking back on it, was it odd to give a coral a personality? while it was technically an animal, and wasn't able to behave like something that had a personality in the first place, bluebell couldn't help but feel a connection towards chera. maybe that's why she already had a personality made up for her coral?

What is your coral like?: Sunny thinks for a moment. "Energetic. I know that for sure," She says with a smile. "Let's see... I should hope she'd be friendly. Y'know, like, she wouldn't tease anyone? I mean, she'd probably tease playfully, but not in a mean way." Sunny gives Tahiti a sideways glance, as if telling her not to do the opposite. "Um, I think she'd be kind of rebellious. She already is," Sunny chuckles. "But like, she'd probably start a protest with other corals if she really didn't like something. Not a violent one, though. At least, I hope not. Eh, Tahiti's not like that." Sunny narrows her eyes, deep in thought. "Caring. Cloying. Spunky," She says. "Affable, genuine, excitable." Sunny gives it another thought.
"But mostly, she'd just be there for you. Give you a shoulder to lean on. To support you when times are tough. Things like that, you know?" Sunny turns to look at Tahiti. "I know that's how you feel inside, little girlie. And you know that I love you, right?" Sunny grins at Tahiti, knowing full well that that was a stupid question. Because even if Tahiti can't actually speak, Sunny knows that Tahiti loves her just as much as she does.

What is your coral like?: Milkshake looks down a little bit, eyes settling on an exotic fish swimming about in a sizable tank. The question Enke asked puzzled him, enough to where he was sometimes looking up at the other man with a bit of confusion.
"I think that they would be something that takes on the form of whatever someone wants." Milk replied quietly, carefully choosing his words. This was almost like he was trying to explain something deep and philosophical when he was, in fact, talking about his coral.
"But for me? I guess he's just like a friend that's there to listen."
Enke stared on at Milk.
"I mean, he, well, he can't do much else? He does have his own type of language though, you just have to hear it yourself. It's something that's, like, all up to interpretation."
Milk gave his shoulders a little shrug and looked up at Enke. It could be noted that he seemed to be holding back on some things.
"I'll just say this, he's a friend to me. Someone- er, thing- I can just have by my side at all times. I think he's just whatever you want. A she, a story-teller, a great adventurer. He's imaginable."
Milk paused, a red blush flushing out on his face.
"Shakecup is just like everything that I've wanted."
With that, Milk went off to go mess with something else, much to Enke's dismay.

Sure, Shakecup might just be a bit of coral to someone else. But to Milkshake, he was a friend.
