What is your coral's tank like? Arati placed the final touches inside her tank before stepping back to show the class, her coral had not grown like some of the others and she felt a little upset. Was i not singing to her enough? The heifer gulped before starting her presentation about her little baby coral.
"Aurelie has a very simple little tank, i didnt want to overcrowd her with decorations so she can grow to be the biggest coral ever!" The heifer pointed to the tank, smiling as the filter pushed the water around a little.
The ground was a small layer of sand with a few golden and peachy pink rocks dotting around the small coral.
There were exactly three strands of leafy seaweed floating limply in the water, and a tiny shiny pink fish flitted around the coral, stopping to suck algae off of Aure's sides every once in a while.
"The fish is called a Kissing Gourami and i named him Gloss! He likes to nibble the algae off of little Aure to make sure her pores can breath well." The heifer smiled, her tank was simple but it was good and she loved her small coral.
I hope she will grow soon.

What is your coral's tank like?

"Well, my tank is currently waaaaay too small for any fish, but I've been adding some local flora to make my lil' guy feel all the more at home! When he gets a bit larger, I'll certainly be relocating them, but until then, this tank is perfect!" Cassidy gingerly picks up to bowl to show Enke her handiwork. She smiled lovingly at the little guy and his plant friends. "Whaddya think?"

"I personally think the lil' guy is loving his new friends, and they add such a nice pop of color while he's still growing. I'm keeping him right in the center of course, he is the star of the show! I was tempted to get some more expensive plants for him, but I figured some seagrass and simple leafy plants would make sure nobody was distracted from what's really important!"

She took one last look at the coral before returning it to it's secured spot in the wagon- at this point, nobody would even be surprised if Cassidy started carting that tank around in a baby seat in the wagon. What ever happened to leaving a fish tank... sit? " I'll see you around Enke!" She called out as she walked away. He wasn't much for words and could be a bit curt, but she was starting to actually enjoy his quiet presence more than she initially thought she would.

Jay:
It's a decent sized tank, enough for some wiggle room when it comes to tankmates. Besides the brine shrimp, Bishop has two engineer gobies that burrow around in the sand and eat the leftover food, so it doesn't poison the water. Once Bishop gets bigger, there will also be a waterfall setup in the back - that should be perfect for aeration and making the current stronger, and it should also look pretty nice.

Lighting is also important for coral. As dynamic as spotlights would be, some very specific type bulbs doing broad cover would be best... More like natural conditions than a hyper focus on very specific spots. I'd also like to rig together a screen for the background... Something that changes every so often, to different underwater views of other coral reefs - perhaps a projector and a trip to a local photographer for some professional photos of Bishop's future home is in order.

Have to keep the end goal in mind, don't we? The sooner the mission's forgotten, the sooner and harder it will fail... And I won't sabotage my little friend's mission.

What is your coral's tank like?

Cecelia thought Wilson’s tank was a little too small for fish. She did not want to cram living creatures in such a small tank. There was some extra room in Wilson’s tank, but it would sadden Cecelia to see the fish swimming in such small circles. Nobody would want to live such a boring life. Anyways, what was she to do? There was no way Cecelia would be able to take fish from a pet store and then release them into the wild. Fish from the pet store would not know how to survive in the wild, so she would ultimately be sentencing these hypothetical fish to a slow death.

However, Cecelia did decorate Wilson’s tank with an outer space theme. She stuck glow in the dark stars on the front of the tank. She also painted on her favorite planet, Saturn. Saturn has more than thirty rings, and over sixty moons. One of Saturn’s moons, Titan, is larger than the planet Mercury. Cecelia also decided to include a few alien friends in the tank, so Wilson would not feel so alone. Cecelia was overall pretty happy with how she chose to decorate Wilson’s tank. Although the tank did not include any fish or crustaceans, she could at least sleep better at night knowing that no living creature would be harmed once Wilson was in his permanent home.

Setting up the tank and designing it was quite difficult for Surya, "Simplicity is the best!" Is what she thought so looking at her aquarium, she didn't do much aquascape on it but it was fine for her because too much might agitate her growing coral. It had rocks on the sides and tiny growing sea grass beside it, it looks super plain but that's the beauty in it! She also added a school of fishes called neon tetras, she saw them swimming by an aquarium in a cafe she went and they just mesmerized her so she decided to get them and give her lonely coral some friends!! With how simple her tank is, it wasn't that hard for her to change the water, it was super easy and it didn't give her any hard time. She placed her tank on a shelf in front of her work table so that she can observe "Tu" to make sure that everything's ok. Getting dazed and staring at her tank is a way of her procrastinating while she works, it's kind of a way for her to rest as well.

After finishing a days worth of work, she drowsily looked at the tank and whispered a soft "Goodnight~" to it and went to bed.

What is your coral's tank like? ( using bluebell since i don't own any buttermilks right now :0c )

while bluebell had initially thought about decking out her coral's tank with all sorts of colourful and bright plants, she had decided to rather keep everything simple. after all, her coral would be released when she had to leave buttermilk beach, plus she wanted her coral to had some room to grow big and strong. so, she had settled with a more basic setup after consulting with a narrow-eyed enke and doing her own research on what would be good for heuchera.
xxxxbluebell had purchased a light for chera, though had bothered enke about which light she would have to buy. afterwards, she had spread along the bottom of the tank with a soft bag of palely coloured sand. afterwards, bluebell made sure that her coral was plop in the center, to shine like the star they were. lastly, she had gingerly placed a couple of rocks near the edges of the tank, making sure that they didn't bother chera at all.
xxxxwhile bluebell had decided against putting any fish or other living animals in her coral's tank for the time being (taking care of one living thing was stressful enough), one chera grew and needed a bigger tank, bluebell considered bringing in some fish to swim around the tank in. after all, heuchera probably didn't quite need an entire tank to themselves.
xxxx"and we're done!" bluebell grinned in a jocular manner. the tank was overall quite simple, with a light shining down on the plain setup. in the end, bluebell was quite satisfied, and relieved that she didn't end up going overboard. "do you like the setup, chera? i think it's pretty simplistic, but i like it."
xxxxas always when bluebell asked her coral a question, there was a momentary silence.
    xxxx"me too, chera. me too."

What is your coral’s tank like?

”Hello, Melusine!” Avalon beamed at his little coral, excited to see how big she was getting already. He had gone out to get some decent sized rocks the previous afternoon and asked Enke if he could grab a few little sea plants to make his little spirit more at home. After nestling a few of the plants into the sandy ground of the tank, he started to carefully place the rocks around Melusine’s tank, leaving space around the coral so his little coral would have more room to grow. He felt a small bit of pride in his work, despite it’s simplicity. After getting the A-OK from Enke, he sat down next to Melu’s tank. After staring in awe at his coral and her new tank for what seemed like hours, he hummed and tucked his legs under his big body.
β€œTime to tell you one of those stories I promised!”

What is your coral's tank like?: (using Meri)

Oh god, she tells herself. 'Messy' doesn't even begin to describe her tank.

When Meri came to 'adopt a coral' the other day, it was no surprise she picked one of the biggest tanks of them all for her coral to live in. "I'm only here once, better make the experiences count amirite!" She beamed at the bull by the counter (to which she was responded with a rolling of the eyes).

Her coral was a pretty pink and branching fellow. She resorted to calling it Pinky, as Meri was a lazy (she calls it minimalist) giver of names.

Meri came once again to decorate her tank, and it was to Enke's surprise that she was carrying not one, not two, but three large eco-bags of decorations. Enke seemed hesitant to let Meri design that much onto her tank but he thought, eh, he couldn't care less about how the cows cared for their corals so long as they were alive.

The cow laughed at Enke's obvious hesitance. She couldn't publicly admit that half of the items she was carrying were just stuff she picked up on the shore this morning. Some stuff were bought specifically for coral care, such as lights, rocks, and water filters. Other items like seashells, seaweeds, a half-broken toy ship, and live hermit crabs were just scavenged items (she admitted to being silently judged by other tourists when she was scavenging, but hey, it was free).

It was an less-known fact that Meri was a perfectionist when it came to designing. She had an eye for design and was indecisive for the most part. Rocks by the center, ship and seaweeds by the left, hermit crabs strewn just everywhere, the filter on the right... she'd say yes, then take it apart halfway through finishing the design. How about: rocks by the left going center, ship and seaweed on the right, filter by the back, and hermit crabs wherever? No, no... she rearranged the items once again.

When she gave up designing she just left the tank as a mess and came back to it the next day. Of course, the next day didn't present itself any better, because Meri came in the tank shop with another bag, this time of fish and plants. Enke sighed.

Meri spent another three hours just sat on the floor with Pinky and her tank, rearranging everything. She might have gotten the fish as a mistake, as they started swimming around the coral the same time Meri was arranging the stuff inside. Added difficulty, yes, but the fish seemed to take a liking to the area despite Meri's mess.

Finally giving in to his annoyance, Enke approached Meri, standing behind her as she worked. He gave out advice from time to time, such as where to put the rocks and the plants, much to Meri's gratitude. That afternoon was filled with hard work, but Meri was definitely dedicated to giving the best for her dear coral.

And in the end, it might not have looked much of a mess as it did in the first place. Coral and rocks at the center, seaweed and plants surrounding, shipwreck by one corner, filter by the other, and the fish and crabs scrambling everywhere. It was a fulfilling sensation to look at a step back.

What is your coral's tank like?
the little coral was sitting in a small square tub filled with saltwater right now, but that wasn't otter's fault - she had to put her somewhere safe while she decorated her new tank! she was careful to work quickly because she didn't want her coral to sit in a tank too long without any sort of filter or heater. she knew from her research that the tank should probably be around 80 degrees, so she had purchased a nice little heater in the gift shop. she had also purchased a little "nutrients starter kit" with some of the minerals that would help her coral grow stronger. she even had something to keep the water flowing (of course, not too strongly as to break the little coral). she beamed with pride - even if she wasn't having the most fun on her vacation in terms of activities, she was happy to spend time with her coral. besides the basics, she was moving on to the decorations. she thought about how cute it would be to have little saltwater fish in there, but she knew at the end of her vacation the coral would be going home to live in the ocean. so instead she was filling the tank with aquarium substrate - not the prettiest, but it was healthy and sustainable, unlike some of the more questionable fake plastic gravel, and some colorful pretty plants. "i know it's kind of simple," she said as she added a few stickers to the outside of the tank (don't judge, but they're spongebob stickers), "but i think it's cute," she beamed. [265 words]
