[ information ]
Rykain Ignis are medium-sized dragon hybrids that live on a tidally locked planet called Isthain. All plant life on Isthain
is dark colored or black to absorb as much light energy as possible. Light only lasts 4 earth hours,, while darkness lasts
20 earth hours. Constant storm winds blow over the land, making flight necessary. A wingless Ryka cannot survive on this
planet. The sun in the planetary system is a red dwarf, thus a Ryka's eyes are extremely sensitive to changes on light
because of this.

Ryka are completely nocturnal, capable of night vision. and have a fancy for rare meats and glowing mushrooms found on
the planet. Ryka come in all colors but the darker the color, the hotter a Ryka becomes during the light hours. Ryka are a
family-orientated species, and create social bonds as time moves on and their family grows bigger. Newborn Ryka are called
grubs,. while child and teen Ryka are called pups or cubs.
