Blaze is a closed aardwolf adopt. I'll be making designs in my spare time for now.

Litters

"The Blaze" is home to the aardwolves. Aardwolves are members of the hyena family, but survive off of insects, specifically termites. They are typically nocturnal, live in burrows, and are primarily solitary foragers except for the breeding season.

The Blaze is in the center of the continent, composed of scrubland, some jungle, colder badlands in the north and a few deserts in the south. In the fall, the land is hot and dry. The spring brings the much needed rainy seasons. Waterholes are scarce and vital to all life in the Blaze.

This is a semi-realistic adopt. Aardwolves can be a range of colors from browns, greys, creams, and reds, and have spots and/or stripes. There are two subspecies, the Northern Aardwolf and the Southern Aardwolf. Northern Aardwolves have a thick mane and extra fur on their back that help them stay warm in colder weather. This mane can stick up or lay flat over the back. Southern Aardwolves lack this thicker fur, but they can carry white covering, as the white helps them stay cool in the deserts. Eyes may be any color but blues and purples only appear with white. I may add some other coat variations later. They live around 40 years, and are considered adult at 3.

Rules

• Common sense and kindness are required
• Harassment and other negative behaviors are not tolerated. Repeat offenses will be banned
• Aardwolves may be traded or gifted. There is a 2 month cooldown between transfers
  - You may not sell them or their designs for any currency, art, or other adoptables on or off-site

• You can own unlimited Blaze aardwolves
• You may alter the build of your aardwolf and add scars, but retroactive scars won't be added to their ref. You may not add a mane if they don't have one, but can make edits to an existing mane/tail.
• You may NOT use these designs off-site without crediting me, but you CAN use them as characters in whatever capacity you would like.

• I will announce when I do customs and breedings, do not ask when I will open for them.
• You may only receive one custom per month.
• You can only receive one breeding per month but the same aardwolf can be bred more than once per month
• Breeding must be between one female and one male
  - Aardwolves have 2-3 cubs in a litter but can breed as many times as you like
  - Cubs might be made solely on adult lines
  - Cubs can be grown after one month. Please request a growth when you would like it, but do not pester about it
  - Breedings will be completed based on the looks of both parents.

• If you are banned for any reason from Blaze, you may not apply for adopts or post in any Blaze forums.
• If you are banned from Blaze or CS, your aardwolves will be re-adopted

• More rules may be added as necessary

Information

I'm not sure if I want this to be an rpg explicitly, but I definitely encourage creating characters and stories and a world over just collecting designs. That said, most of my competition ideas will be based around character building and worldbuilding. I'm not sure what else I might set up to facilitate an rpg, but if users are interested, I'd be happy to look into it!

NPCS
To help do a tad of worldbuilding for anyone interested, I am putting together a small list of 6 npcs. Think of them like mascots, owned by the adopt, but their designs and personalities are open to everyone to use as characters in the world of Blaze. Feel free to tweak or build on their character and use them for art or writing! They are also all breeding donors, to be used in the case of same sex couples or single parents if desired! I will link them here once they are posted!

• Kiph - female, grey spotted with hood
• Ragan - male, grey/brown stripped
