As for 2, inspiration was the Larus seagull, although the black ears are inspired by a smaller species of arctic ones (we have them only as winter visitors)

Yay! :D I'm a fairly keen bird-spotter but I had to do some research to figure most of these out, I can't believe I got most of them right! Such beautiful birds, and a lot I'd never seen before. Knowing the birds makes the litter even more impressive, you've done an amazing job of representing them!!
