Species Information
▸ I bought the species off-site on amino.
▹ Currently nameless.They're called Crowned Yiang's.
▸ The creatures are a mix of (inspired by) dragons, phoenixes and peacocks (words from original creator).
▹ Offspring are called wyrchicks.
▸ They have a protective masking on their heads which is sturdy and consists of the same materials as human teeth.
▹ Protective masking is known as the Crash Crown.
▸ Every creature of this species has a Crash Crown, it grows naturally just like horns do.
▹ In correlation to the above points, the wyrchicks are extremely unprotected until their Crash Crown begins to grow.
▸ The 'feathery' additions which loosely fly around act as weak feelers, like a downgraded ant's antennae.
▹ Their bean toes are coarse and tough as they are native to mountainous areas with harsh terrain.
▸ This species do not have claws, but they do have a sharp set of teeth!
▹ They're not scaly nor do they have fur, this species is feathered.
▸ Oviparous species.
▹ Feathery 'feelers' are called aerials.
▸ Despite their sharp toothies this species are passive towards humans, only attacking when threatned.
▹Diet consists of smaller birds and mountain vegetation. They're omnivores.
▸ Having outward ears or having bird-like ears is the same difference as skin colour for us humans, either is common and not really rare or not-rare.
Classification:
What classifies something as a member of this species?
They must have a Crash Crown, five or more aerials,
be a feathered quadrupedal, have a form of tail (even if it's a small stub),
and of course have the same bodily type as the reference picture in this post.
Features such as horns, sharp teeth and wings are all common with the species,
however they are not a REQUIREMENT to be classified as one.
