Hello! So, I decide to kinda give an update on my viscets and their AU ^^ I don't think I ever posted about it here, so there will be a brief summary of it's past later down, but as the Fifth Phase sparks to life in the AU and a lot of things begin to change, I figured it was time to start sharing it ^^ I maaaaaaaaay do weekly updates, but I am unsure at the moment ^^'
To start off, I'll introduce the "big players" of the fifth Phase ^^
First up is Equinox!
She was betrayed by her brother who saw her as a threat to his climb to power. As a viscling of only three months old, she was stolen away by hired hands and thrown into the Underground with full intention for her to die from the fall. However, the universe held different plans for her. After miraculously surviving the fall, she was found and adopted by Juro - the leader of the Underground. She was raised among them, growing stronger in combat and knowledge as her morals were crafted by her environment. When she reached her second year, a new power awoke within her - one which gave her control over time itself. She practices it constantly, fine-tuning the ability, while her adoptive father plans with her a method to use this power to reverse the Underground, restoring the lives of all those who had been banished unjustly.
Due to her current situation, Equinox (or Nox) isn't open to relationships - as the Underground is cut off from the rest of the world. In time, however, she will be.
Up next is Ekon!
Ekon lived his life as a loner in the desolate East, trading with the small village to obtain food and medicine when needed. His life was simple, just the way he liked it. It was about survival and freedom, living by the laws and commands of no other. He bore a confidence unlike any other and always seemed to be in control of every situation he was presented with. However, when Phase five of Kei Nairi was activated, his vision was ripped away and contorted into something monstrous and the confident male soon found himself standing blindly in confusion and fear between two sides: those afflicted, and those untouched. Determined to learn more of his condition, and fearing what it could mean for any around him, he left the small group which had rescued him at the start to venture off on his own into a strange forest in the East filled with the pleading voices of the afflicted.
Relationships for Ekon are open, but only acquaintances or enemies. He isn't keen on letting anyone get too close to him until he figures out what he has become, so he will use walls and stone-cold behaviors to keep those who try to get close away.
Now, Shai!
So, Shai I intend to write a story or maybe even a comic of, so I will only share her story in short little dots for now ^^
- She was taken in off the streets - orphaned and half-starved - by a viscet who took her to an underground facility
- The power to weave and destroy fates was forced upon her, and through this cursed power she was able to escape without harm befalling any
- She wears a wooden mask which mimics the face of a wolf - both to hide her signature facial markings which place her at risk, but also to shadow her eyes, easing the pain of the curse when it strikes
I don't want to give away too much about her, so that's all I'll share atm. Sorry ^^'
Relationships for Shai are going to be hard to come by, only a certain type of personality would really be able to get close enough to her to form a good relationship of any kind. However, if you want to offer then feel free to! ^^
So! Now, the new phase of Kei Nairi ^^
I plan on updating my character website with more information on my AU's world and it's history/phases, but here is a brief history of the ones before the fifth:
1: The Union: Creation of Kei Nairi done by the collision of several dead worlds and one dying world with the intention to imprison a dark entity within its core
2: The Storm: Akiko loses control of her powers, bringing a devastating storm which tore apart the East until it was only a barren wasteland, and cracking the land beneath the oceans, creating a sliver which nearly touches the core of the world. Form this, monsters arose and began to stalk the lands.
3: Fire Awakens: Allaster is reborn into Kei Nairi as a viscet with his dog, Max, in tow. Together, they face off against the monsters, reigniting hope in the souls of those within the world. Once all were defeated, the East is populated by a small village run by Allaster and two other guardians - Pele and Apep.
4: The Great War: Libra - a reincarnated beast from a world merged into Kei Nairi - emerges from the depths of the world and sets his sights on dictatorship. He quickly creates an army and - using his power - claims most of the West, and soon sets his sights on the East, initiating the Great War.
Now, the fifth stage has come. It interrupts the Great War as the tides begin to tip in Libra's favor, starting with the release of a dark entity sealed within. Through an ancient summoning ritual, an unknowing viscet gives the beast enough strength to create a small crack which reaches the large one made by Akiko, setting him free. His chains unbroken, Ruik agrees to help the viscet which aided his escape, though he doesn't clarify how. The night after, a beam of green light erupts from the sky, breaking the moon and striking the world, sending a ring of light around it and initiating the Fifth Phase. Many become cursed - or afflicted - losing themselves and either falling dead, or seeking to destroy those around them. Libra's forces fall apart, along with Allaster's, as the world is torn apart form the inside out, reverting to a primal, lethal state.
Though it may seem like it, the fifth phase is certainly not the last c; For every source of darkness that arises, a source of light will soon counter it.For those who are interested in the continuation of this arc, I will begin updating major events on the website, and I also plan on posting more on DA about it and the progress of all involved, so be sure to keep an eye out there ^^
