Hey!

I wanted to enter for an artist position here, but the thing is my drawing tablet doesn't work on Oekaki and only one of the drawing programmes I use; FireAlpaca. In the rules, it says that all entries must be done on Oekaki and Oekaki-only.


So, what do I do?

Artist entries need to be done on-Oekaki because if you were to be hired as an artist, you’d need to create designs on-oekaki. If that’s not something you’re able to do, unfortunately, you wouldn’t be able to apply.

You could always try troubleshooting your tablet troubles by trying different oekaki settings, a different browser, making sure your software is up to date (tablet driver and J-tablet), or drawing with a mouse or trackpad instead!

Ah! Thank you so much! I have been using Chrome for drawing on Oekaki for a long time but I just thought that the pen had problems with Oekaki, so, I switched to Edge and found out that it was working just like it did before! Thank you thank you! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

a person did a growth for me on oekaki however, irl stuff came up and it constantly slipped my mind to remind them about adding me to the ref. finally just had a settled week to remember.

sent them a message if they could possibly add me when they can but checked their latest posts and it seems they haven't been on since June.

is there anything I can do to fix it? (I plan to wait at least another 3 days in case they come back~)

For now, wait and see if they come back or show signs of planning to come back at a later date. Some people are just very busy. If it’s been a month or so with no recent activity, report the topic. Provide proof of ownership to the CS moderators that you do indeed have the right to the kalon and ask to be added to the ref. If you can prove the kalon is yours, they will add you.

Let's say I own a Standard Kalon Custom that I am looking to trade away because it wasn't made to my liking.

Can I trade it to the user who made a fake Standard Kalon for the artist search in return for the rights to possibly keep the Fake Kalon and make it a real one? (Getting approval and such too like normally).

If not, where can I go if I want to trade one of my Kalons?

You can only trade kalons for other kalons or unused MYO slots - you would not be able to trade a kalon for a design that has not been made into an official kalon. If you'd like to trade your kalon, you can make a post on the Fanclub to advertise that you're looking for offers (just be sure to read the rules if you haven't posted there before), you can offer it to other users who are looking for trades, or you can advertise in the appropriate channels in the kalon Discord server. :)

I already asked the artist and they said that they would be willing to part with the design.
