"Must I put emphasis on the word clan?" Ashclover growled, getting frustrated. "C-L-A-N! I'm not a rogue! To me, you are rogues if I didn't know you had at least clan-like names! Presuming wheat cats can form a clan, who knows what goes through your heads." He added the last part in a whispering, sour mew that was barely audible.

the kit hissed at the tom. 'we're not 'wheat-cats'! if anything, you're a 'not-wheat-cat'!' she began to bumble on, turning her head upwards to look at batears, whispering a sentence or two. 'what's wheat?' as batears quietly explained to the kit, talonclaw stared at the tom. 'you seem rather hostile. thanks for giving me a reason to be hostile back.' talonclaw spat at the tom's paws.

"You turned it around." Ashclover replies with a sour smile. "I'm being unfriendly, because you are."

talonclaw's throat began to rumble with that of a sour growl, his claws scratching at the soil underneath him. fortunately, littlerain came to the rescue, good on you littlerain. the frosted she-cat came bumbling over from whatever she was sent to do last, stopping in front of the growling talonclaw, shooting a glance at the cat. ' I, er, talonclaw! I thought-- though it would make sense if we made the, er, rogue? hunt for us? ' she'd attempt to get the cat out of trouble. talonclaw growled acceptance in return, and littlerain beckoned ashclover over.

"I have to do prison labor?" Ashclover mumbled in a tired tone, sitting up in his wheat bed. "Guess that's better than spending time with Little Claus and Big Claus..." He added as he shrugged past the guards, barely concealing a smirk. If he got the chance, he'd think up more duo names for them! It'll be fun. "Lead the way, miss Littlerain."

Littlerain led the gray tom towards the sloped exist, going through the tunnel and coming out onto the large chill that surrounded the clan's camp, concealing them from the golden wheat all around them, leaving them a patch to train or to play.shed'd bring him to the edge of the wheat, her ears flicking to the side as she stopped in front of it. she'd turn to him, her tail waving in the air.

' You can go now, if you'd like, I would hate to hold you much longer. '

-- ashclover's choice will affect his relationship with littlerain. if he decides to stay, littlerain will honor him for his honesty and be more likely to help him out via food or water during the time before the trial. if he decides to go, littlerain will accept the fact he has his own clan and forget about him. talonclaw and batears will hunt him down and bring him back, your relationship will remain unaffected.--

Ashclover cast her a look of suspicion. This was probably too good to be true, and at first he wasn't sure how to react. "Is this a trick you've laid out for me, oh fair damsel?" He said, trying to sound theatrical, but not having his usual relish with it.

her face was unmoving, her expression unchanging as she looked at the tom in front of her. ' Do you think it is, oh knight in shining gray? ' she'd say simply, her nose twitching to the side as the cold air nipped at her skin.

Ashclover smirked slightly at her reply, flicking his ears as he turned to stare out at the wheat. He didn't quite like the idea of going through all that again, and yet his paws itched to run!
Or uh, maybe they itched because, y'know... wheat.
Whatever. He sighed and looked back towards her, backing away slightly.
"I'm not sure what I think, but I think I'll at least have a go at fulfilling my escape. Though first I should thank you. Your the only nice cat in this rather odd clan so that's something, I guess. Goodbye!"

as ashclover began to back up, a small smile spread across the she-cat's muzzle, flicking her head in a small farewell to the gray tom. the small smile soon faded though, her eyes slowly growing wider as the cat continued to back up. ' Oh no-- w-wait! ' she'd call out, stepping forward towards the cat. but it was too late. behind ashclover stood a tall, think furred tom with a pitch black pelt. it was batears. ' Where do you think you're going? ' he'd ask, although in a rather casual tone.
