In case anyone doesn't already know the cats the lions are based of off, this is most likely it:

Ocelot


Asian Golden Cat

There's actually no such thing as a panther, it's just a name that several different species are called. "Black Panthers" are either melanistic Leopards, melanistic Jaguars, or badass king bois.

Also, Jaguars are in South America while Leopards are in Asia and Africa so who the hell even knows which one it's supposed to be? Maybe Leopard, based on the regions of the other three?

Actually, although panther is used as a another term for certain big cats (mostly mountain lions and leopards) these days, its origin is actually Latin for leopard and most people commonly use black panther to describe a black leopard so they're not wrong.

You can get them as a trade in from the bushes in the jungle. I missed them at first too.

the marking match an ocelot more than a clouded leopard
clouded leopards have bigger open areas in their marking than the cat we got and clouded leopards dont have the lines on the forehead like cat we got does

could be. but we've had other line art do clouded leopard. would they use adult lion lines for a marbled cat?

tbh they don't match either *perfectly* to me. the pet has white inside the spots where ocelots are generally pretty white outside. and they're a bit bigger/spread out than most ocelot pics i've seen, more like a clouded leopard. guess we have to wait for the word of god to know for sure, and it could even be neither since there's a million and one spotted cat species. XD
