I really like the tail. It's definitely an interesting idea c:

i like it, though seems a bit bland. if you leave it like this, i would personally just keep it as an oc.
though if youd like it to be a species, you should add more things to make it more interesting. really if you took the tail away, it would basically be a dog. this is something you might not want, as theres not really anything else that is notable.
i would personally add something like horns, any leaves/flowers growing out of different areas, and/or some other unique things that fit the 'nature' theme.
this is also my opinion, though i think you should practice on the lines a bit more. not only for art pieces, but also for bases and editables; as editable and base lines should be easy to edit and colour, but also easy to stomache and understand. it may seem difficult to practice, though my best advice is to study other species lines or base lines.
