What your art really needs is more volume to it, I suggest tracing drawings of artists whose styles you try to replicate (Privately, dont post or claim) use simple shapes or even outline bits. You can learn a lot by taking images of real animals and tracing them, it's how I've learned what I have.
Tracing is only bad when you try and claim someone else's work as your own, it can be a very good learning tool.
