Ren's cave was littered with plants. Small dugouts in the cave walls held various leaves, stems, and flowers. Some were dry, others fresh, and even a few were mashed into a pulp. Cobwebs were gathered in the corners and more were wrapped around branches laying on the floor. Small window-like holes high up were covered up by vines, producing a soft, filtered light at all times. It was a peaceful and serene workplace and home for Ren. Here, undisturbed they could do what they loved most—herbalism. They were very affectionate and caring, so it was only natural for them to want to help others. Ren was always interested in medicinal plants, even as a young kit. Their great-great grandmother was an herbalist, but when they were around 14, she was dying. Because of this, a replacement herbalist was needed. And since Ren was interested in the topic, they volunteered. It was a good thing they were a quick-learner, because their great-grandmother died only a month later. But now if anyone needs help, they come to Ren.
