Some tips I guess;
~I usually start with a circle for the main head and then add the muzzle and sort of 'smooth' the shape from there
~The nose always goes on second so that I can work out which direction the face is in
~Eyes are kinda round, but they point out towards the end of the muzzle and down at the sides
~Ears have a kinda 'base' shape where they attach to the head- this is basically an oval- and then they can be pretty much any shape from there
