Just thought I'd let you guys know, on Saturday I'll probably be gone during most of the later afternoon. This means I'll be judging the forms in the morning rather than the evening/afternoon like I normally do.

Zver you want: #CC5275
Name: Nistya
Reason you want it: Honestly I'm not sure. Something about the design calls to me, it could be that one of the dogs I volunteered with looked like this dog. I know that's not a great reason, but at least it is the truth.
What will you do with it if you win?: I would put her in my character thread, possibly make other art for her and very likely use her in rps.
Personality: Is included in story.
Introduction/Story: You can either read it in plain text below, or as it was intended in its photo form here. (Original paper stock found here.)

Dear Best Friend,

I have quite the story to tell you. You aren't going to believe me when I tell you all that has happened. But you will have to, you know I would not wast paper like this on a prank. Please excuse any inconsistencies in my writing, I am still trying to get my head around all that has happened. I do believe I know you fairly well and I will try to answer any questions you may have, but feel free to write back and ask me more.

Remember a couple months ago I was telling you about my new job at the pound? Well I've had enough time to settle into the routine and work my schedule to fit beautifully with my schooling. Anyway, I was at work on yet another hectic Monday. Everyone was busy trying to re-arrange the steady flow of new dogs. Mondays are one of the worst, parents get their kids new dogs on Friday and realize during the weekend that it is not going to work. So they drop the dog off while their kid is at school. Or some other equally sad story.

We also get in a fair number of strays found over the weekend. This Monday was no exception to that rule. I was in the middle of trying to place a couple of sickly surrenders into one of our foster homes, because I did not think they would do well in the kennels just yet, when one worker came into my office. He looked rather stressed and dazed. He told me that I needed to come with him and quickly, he had picked up some weird dog off a school playground today. He had no idea what it was or what to do with it and, since it was my day to do evaluations on incoming dogs and the other person was busy, I got to be the one to go figure this “strange dog” out.

I followed him out to the retrieval van and waited patiently as he grabbed a slip leash and opened the side door to allow a view into the cage within. What I first saw was unremarkable. A large white dog with light brown spots, laying on it's side with its back to me. Doubtfully I looked to the retrieval worker and he shook his head and nervously reached to open the cage. Then with the lightning quick speed you had to have to be a retrieval worker he snaked his arm into the cage and slipped the slip leash over the dogs head. He swung the door open and with a tug on the leash, got the dog to jump out.

It was at that time I saw just why he was so confused. The dog was huge, and that was an understatement. It also looked nothing like a regular dog, sure the main build was similar but no way in hell this thing was a real dog. Its long pointed ears; big, cat like tail; and strange alien looking eyes meant there was no way this thing was really a dog. I stood in shock and just took it in. It was almost as if this thing was an alien escaped from a research facility, but there is no way things like that could happen in real life.

Not knowing just what to do with the...dog, I told the worker to put it in the oversized evaluation kennel in my office. This was not something I wanted being displayed to the public just yet. Not until I could figure out just what it was.

Later in the day I heard something like metal hitting the floor. Curious I went over to the evaluation cage and saw a small disk of metal on the floor. It only had one line of text on it that read “#CC5275,” which of course meant nothing to me.

Now let me skip ahead a bit, for the sake of brevity. Later in the day my boss came in and we agreed to put it out for the public to see with a note on it's cage that asks for any information on it. We also decided it would be better if we gave it a name to refer to it by and decided on Nistya. The name is the Sanskrit transliteration for 'strange'.

A couple days passed with little to no event. The creature ate wet dog food just fine and was very calm about being near so many people. However no one seemed to know anything about the creature.

On the third day a man came in, saw the creature and looked simultaneously stressed and relieved. He was sent to me, as I was the one working today who was also involved with the intake of the creature. We sat in my office and talked, he informed me that he was a scientist from a nearby facility that was studying these creatures. He told me very little about them, mostly that they were actually from a strange planet, this one was female, the creatures were being called Zvers and they had escaped. He was telling me that I had to give, #CC5275 (now Nistya), back to the facility.

I was about to say yes, when something stirred inside me. I had no idea what they were doing to these creatures back at the facility and if this Zver was as intelligent as he was saying and had escaped then clearly her quality of life was not what it should have been. I promptly told him we, the shelter, could not adopt out such a special dog, or any animal for that matter, to a home we knew to be unfit. Then I promptly sent him on his way.

As the hours ticked by that day the more certain I became that I would not be satisfied with anyone else owning this beautiful creature. Besides I needed a real friend and companion. After all I had not been living here long and still had not made any real friends. So after talking to my boss and relaying to him the day's events I was allowed to bring Nistya home.

Now I know what you are thinking, or at least I believe I do. You are wondering what kind of personality a creature from a foreign planet could have. Well, I do not know about the others but I can tell you about Nistya. She seems to really like children, which is oddly fitting as she is very much like a child. Around strangers and in strange situations she is very calm, quiet and gentle. Those traits do carry over into home life and familiar situations but she is much more open and expressive. Though she may not show it often Nistya is easily excited and seems to always be happy, except when alone. When she is alone she tends to be more prone to stress, shutting down or acting on impulses. However most of the time when she is around people she appears to be very intelligent and perceptive. There have been a few times when she went to comfort me when I was not showing any signs of sadness or stress but was feeling them. She seems to read emotions very well no matter the subject. I think it comes from her love of people and being around them so much has let her learn much about us.

Anyway I am going to stop droning on now and go try to figure out more about this Zver.

Sincerely,
Tox

Haha, so I only just realized today that I was judging the forms for CC5275 today xD
Either way, this was a wonderful form, I can see that you put a lot of effort into it. Congratulations!

I'm going to say that each person is allowed one custom. It would not count toward the wild adopt limit, but you could only have one. That would mean that each person can have a total of four Zvers, three escapees and a custom.

Okay ^^ I just making sure you know? But whoever gets the custom slots is the one that is the most creative right? I just got some inspiration all sudden xD Is it possible for one to give up their zver like how you would do it with a nadona?
