We're here to research that and I'm sure you are too. Some say, somewhere, even some humans are part fish. Ha! Anyway! Thanks for joining us; I hope you can be very helpful to our investigations on the fish. Enjoy your stay and be sure to gather as many rare fish as you can! We'll be traveling all over the ocean in search of particularly unique little guys to take care of and study. I hope you enjoy our first stop!"

1. Please be respectful to everyone on the thread!
2. Any questions/suggestions/concerns should be directed to me or any mod and not posted on the thread. Feel free to pm me for anything, I don't bite!
3. Keep all chit-chat on the fanclub thread.
4. No marking please!
5. All changes of owner of any pets must be communicated through either pm to me or the fanclub thread. This goes for trading/gifting items and currency as well.
6. Try your best to avoid double posting, but if it's super important go ahead!
7. Any edited forms will be ignored, but you are allowed to quote them and say what you're changing if it's before anyone else has claimed said pet.
8. All litters are fcfs unless stated otherwise.
9. Do NOT edit your future fish without my permission. Removing the link on your pet is also against the rules.
10. Never claim someone else's future fish.
11. If you think I missed your form, let me know. If I did, you (as well as anyone who accidentally receives the pet if applicable) get a free custom from me.
12. Only adopt once per litter, once a day!
13. If you break these rules way too much or to a certain extent you will be banned from posting on this thread and any of the sub-threads of it. Sorry!

"You'll find all kinds of fish during our travels, but they all tend to fall into these categories. And rarely, you may find a PPS* fish, which are typically a bit rarer than their grown counterparts. A PPS birdfish is rarer than a regular birdfish but is still more common than a lizardfish, for example!"

"Hey! This big ol' fish tank is where we keep our new fishy arrivals. Over time, all of the fish have adapted to most water conditions, so there's not much of an issue with tank maintenance. Lots of fish actually don't go in the water that much, despite being able to breathe in and out of it. Moving on, here is where you can adopt your own fish when we have excess species. The ones we keep live safely in our laboratory. They'll be just fine. Really, I promise! Don't look at me like that..."

"Hey! It's me, Captain Piscis, again! Y'know, before I actually became captain of the Darwin, I was a pretty good diver. And swimmer. And all that! I can hold my breath for, like, uh... something like 8 minutes! Well, that's irrelevant now thanks to the technology the scientists aboard the ship developed. They have this kind of water mask thing that allows you to hold your breath for up to about a week, I'd say. It's pretty helpful for exploring in the ocean. Here, I'll show you!"

"Hiya, I'm Eden, the lead scientist in charge of breeding fish! This is your chance to use those breeding tanks everyone is raving about... for breeding! Erm, breeding your fish that is. Fish today are so fascinating really, even when it comes to producing offspring! Because they're all so closely related, you can breed any type of fish together. Be aware that rarer fish tend to be hard to attain when you pair them with fish of lower rarity. For example, if you breed a common fish with a rare fish, you're more likely to get common offspring, but there's still a smaller chance to get a rare lineart! Also remember that you cannot breed rarer fish without the proper upgrades, which you can check for more details on in the shop. With your basic breeding tank, however, you can still breed common fish together. You can have up to 2 baby fish without using items like the tank divider. They all start out as eggs, then grow into juveniles, which in this time have a small chance to become PPS, and then finally grow into full-grown, ready-to-breed-and-hunt fish of the future. Now, are you ready to pick your pairings?"
