Please do not repost your question. Tess reads the whole topic so she will get you when she has time.

I can only assume that you will need to pm Nick or mail help@chickensmoothie.com with details (email used on that account etc.) about the old account.

What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply)
January the 4th 2009

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply)
2188

Without posting your actual age, are you old enough to apply for this position?: (Do NOT apply if you are 15 or younger, no excuses.) Yup i definitely am.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
7

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Between 1- 12 sometimes more if I'm at the computer all day.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them.
No i Haven't.

Have you participated in many roleplays outside of CS before? If there's any places in particular, please link to them.
Yes i have (although most are more, adult sites, so i would rather not post them in case someone underage should click them ^^')

Have you participated in many roleplays on CS before?
I used to roleplay quite a lot so yes.

Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS?
I think helping to keep the forum clean and safe for younger members is a high priority for me, they shouldn't be exposed to any mature content and I would like to help make sure Chicken Smoothie stays a safe fun place for people to use. Sensitive material is a big problem all over the internet and it would please me if i could help keep it away from our forums.
I enjoy role plays and am always looking for a good one to join, sadly it seems all to often roleplays are ruined by consistent spam and arguing from both the role players and often people who aren't even accepted to the role play. It gets annoying for the players and hopefully if selected i can help to keep the level of spam down and keep the role plays running smoother.
All in all i just want to help make sure this site stays a happy and enjoyable site for the members who use it, and help the team who have watched over us so far and given us so many hours of enjoyable time here.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you run your own roleplay website before, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
I am very literate and have taken creative writing courses in the past so i enjoy reading and writing, i think this will help in a position where i will be spending a lot of time reading through role plays and checking posts.
I have a mature attitude and it takes a lot to offend me so i don't mind looking through sensitive material or dealing with arguments. I feel maturity is a very important thing to have when moderating, when sorting arguments I think keeping a level head and sorting things out quickly and as calmly as possible is the best thing for it. Not to get drawn into arguments yourself.
I have also taken a course on mediation in under 16's to help me in my riding teaching work, i feel this could aid me in helping to clear up arguments quickly and avoid lengthy arguments that create not only a huge amount of spam and unnecessary posting, but also may cause upset to any one of the user's involved in the conflict.

APPLICATON

  1. What date did you register as a CS member?:
On this particular account, it says January of 2009, but I've actually been a member since October 2008 under the (now-deleted) account SolMiMi. During that time I had done a lot of roleplaying on the boards and accumulated sooo many posts xDD So, I'm not sure if Nick remembers, but in January 2009 he very kindly transferred all my pets to this new account (formerly named gLove), and I have been using this account ever since.
  2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
      2108
  3. Without posting your actual age, are you old enough to apply for this position?:
Yes (I always like to say online that I'm twentysomething in age xD).
  4. How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Every day (unless I have no internet, which is rare, unless I'm on a trip, which is also rare). I usually keep my status 'hidden' however, just because I've gotten used to 'lurking' the boards.
  5. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Erm, I'm kind of guilty visiting it more than just once a day *w* As long as I'm awake, which is usually from 5am to 11pm, I'm sure to be visiting CS in very frequent blips.
  6. Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
      http://www.caiuka.com
I moderated that forum as the user No-One; unfortunately I had to retire, or more honestly 'be retired' by the site owner, since I was still pregnant at the time I joined and could no longer heavily roleplay at the time.
  7. Have you participated in many roleplays outside of CS before? If there's any places in particular, please link to them.
I started roleplaying some fifteen(!) years ago, so during that time the popular roleplaying trends were on what were called MUCKs (Multi-User Chat Kingdom). You would use a program that would allow you to connect to various text-based worlds, which you could explore and interact with other people. (If you play a virtual chatroom, think in that sense, only with text alone.) It was there that I first learned to roleplay, the pros and cons of character interaction, how to properly develop a character, and the do's and dont's of roleplaying -- most importantly, how to properly interact with people who were at the time much, much older than I was.
  8. Have you participated in many roleplays on CS before?
      Oh yes, particularly on my older account x____x; Like I said, I racked up quite a number of posts; however at the time, I was in so many roleplays that it became very compelling and difficult to keep up with all of them, not to mention that CS roleplayers are pretty avid and quick writers, so I'd spend most of my day stuck to the computer typing up replies instead of living in the real world. I quit my original account because I wanted to come back to reality (and deciding that staying stuck to the computer wasn't very healthy), but I still would stalk CS and the roleplay boards, even if I wouldn't participate. I just...couldn't pull away. xwx;;

Currently the only roleplay I'm in is Atwood's Rally, which unfortunately I was absent from for the past week due to not having internet on this trip I'm on. But I'm back now. n_n
  9. Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS?
Ever since I began roleplaying -- or, actually, participating -- on CS, this website has become something very special to me. I also love the hustle and bustle of the roleplaying board, and the roleplaying community holds a special place in my heart (cheesy, but true xD). Ever since I began roleplaying, my own mother, although not a roleplayer, would always remind me to have the proper conduct at all times, even and especially online; as a mother now myself, and even before that, I have always felt very protective of roleplayers and readers of roleplays, which is why I usually lurk the roleplay boards and report any posts I feel may need a moderator's attention. I feel that I have a sound understanding of what is safe and unsafe for young eyes, and would like to take care of the (not-so-little) little CS-roleplayer's community that I was once involved in; I love the RP area so much, and love the idea of collaborative writing, and with the amount of activity on the CS RP Boards I do hope to be able to contribute a little bit more. I realize that I'm no longer an active roleplayer, but I feel that limiting my participation in roleplays has helped me more in being able to monitor reportable posts. n.n
  10. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required)
Aside from the abovementioned fact that I've been roleplaying fifteen years now and, I believe have developed a pretty good grasp on the do's and don'ts of roleplaying; it's also allowed me a lot of time to interact with different kinds of users with different kinds of personalities. Because of the many diverse personalities one can encounter online, it's been a learning experience for me how to behave and act properly online, and how to settle arguments and disagreements in a calm and logical manner. When I was more active on CS, I would enjoy helping out in general whenever I could, and while lurking the CS boards I've also enjoyed teaching new roleplayers the basics of roleplaying. I've also always been an extremely patient person so I hope I could be of help to those who need it n_n
when first i appear i seem mysterious
but when explained i'm nothing serious

I was wondering, will you be hiring any 'newbie helpers' (is that what they are called?) soon? I am interested in that, as I don't think you need to be a certain age for that and I love helping newbies! Unless they are very mean. :( Or very... erm, unintelligent.

Fri Jul 02, 2010 6:13 pm

2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply)
2415.
3.Without posting your actual age, are you old enough to apply for this position?: (Do NOT apply if you are 15 or younger, no excuses.)
Yes.

4.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Every dayI can! That's.... All week. If im not on, its because im either sick, both computers are taken, or Im away somewhere.

5.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Usually 2-4 hours, if not that, 1-3 hours. Alot, for short.

6.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
No, I haven't.

7.Have you participated in many roleplays outside of CS before? If there's any places in particular, please link to them.
Oh my yes I have! I love rping. Links:
http://wolvesofthesilvermoonpack.wetpai ... +YOUR+CHAT (Wolf rping site, dont be fooled by the name on the front page. I think they closed this down, but just posting I was in it.), http://wolvesofthemoonrp.wetpaint.com/, http://shatteredwillowspack.wetpaint.com/, and http://shadowdiamondpack.wetpaint.com/page/Death+Valley . All wolf rping sites. The last link I am most active to.

8.Have you participated in many roleplays on CS before?
Many many! I roleplay alot, and you could say Im addicted to RPing.

9.Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS?
Well, for first, I love rping. I'd love to be a moderator, with all the other amazing moderators, and I love helping people and inforcing positive and resonable rules. And that's all the rules there is! Postive and resonable rules. For another example, I love CS, and I love everyone in it. Moderators, new members, myself, any members, ect; Just anyone! I always say when I have to go or I won't be online sometime, If im unactive with RPs I almost always have a explanation why, and that is usually because I had to go to bed, I had to leave for school, I had to go somewhere, I was sick, or I was sick of being online and had to get back to my life outside of CS. I always say Im very sorry for abscence, and I never lie to members of my RP or anyone's RP. I know I know, I do spam alot, and I will be honest, yes I do, and yes I do mostly get a talking for it, but just to say to stay on-topic. Yes, of course, I always go back to topic, and all that. I love being honest and helping others, so I will be honest with you, when I was a bit of a newbie, I think I got a warning for posting a contest without a background and no lineart in the oekaki competitions, and I dont think I gave prizes either! I hadnt seen the rules of competitions at that time, so Im being honest, I did get a warning for that or something I cant recall. I hope I get the job, Id love to help out.

PS: When rping, I tend to get off realistic rping, and I go unrealistic and unlikely. I love rping, and this is the reason why this happens! I go all fantasyish, like, for example: Little tiny tornado fluffing up a wolves fur. xD And a pond appearing weirdly and unexpectedly in front of a wolf, when its traveled not very far; and it was in the desert before coming to the pond. Im very creative, and please dont hate me for it. I am who I am, and I wont change the way I RP for anyone. I make alot of stories, and Im starting 2 new ones. One with a tornado coming and destorying a girls life completely, and one about unicorns! YAY. xD

10.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?:
Well, I do host many RPs here on CS, and I did have very high ranks in RPs off-site, and I host and admin alot of RP sites I have made. But, they all have went downhill with members, so I stopped making RPs off-site. I mostly just join some, that some of my friends or family members have made. Nothing else, really.

1. What date did you register as a CS member?: Sun Aug 09, 2009 5:48 pm

2. How many posts have you made in the forum?:3677

3. Without posting your actual age, are you old enough to apply for this position?: Yes.

4. How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: I go on Chicken smoothie everyday (unless I go on a trip which, is only once a year).

5. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: I usually spend two hours a day on Chicken Smoothie depending on the day of the week. Usually on Thursdays, I will only be online for about a half an hour.

6. Have you moderated on any other forums before?: I have moderated on a few forums that have now been abandoned after getting about twelve members.

7. Have you participated in many role plays outside of CS before?: None.

8. Have you participated in many role plays on CS before?: I defiantly have participated in lots of role plays on this site. I mostly do one on one role playshowever, I have quit a few of them to focus on my pet collection. I do have oneprivate role play.

9. Why do you want to be a role play moderator for CS?: Well, ever since I have started role playing I have really enjoyed and I think I am a pretty good stickler for the rules. I also report things on the role play board that are inappropriate and I do keep watch if the moderators have caught the foul play. I also want to keep Chicken Smoothie child friendly because I know a lot of users have kids that come on here also.

10. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?: Besides the fact that I would be enforcing the role play rules, I would be able to give new role players tips about how to attract role players to their new topics and things like that.
