Question: how do the rolls work when a rare breeding mutation item is used in a breeding?

Work the same as rolling for if only one parent has the trait so
60 and under for standard
50 and under for common
30 and under for uncommon
And 10 and under for rare

Is using 2 rare breeding mutation items possible in order to roll traits as if both parents had them?

you dont need to buy anything to add clothing to your kalons c:
A regular tiara/crown that is a removable item doesnt have a rarity, and counts as a regular clothing item.

What about if you get a common fur edit(or just common edit) can you edit the color? Does this apply to any type of edit?

Unfortunately a trait like this would not be allowed on a Kalon. If you wish to have a character with a trait like this please consider a regular OC <3
