Amberstar let out a growl of pain whenever she felt his claws and teeth sink into her flesh. She forced herself up to her paws, flinging herself onto her side to knock Sootstar off. "What's the meaning of this attack?" Amberstar said with a hiss, her tail puffed up as her claws unsheathed.

SootStar let out a low growl as he quickly rose to his feet once more taking a defensive pose as he prepared to lunge once more his pupils slowly narrowing to paper thin slits "You are trespassing on DawnClan territory."

Amberstar's gaze suddenly softened as she looked at Sootstar. She had assumed he was a loner that was angry with her; she had also thought her clan was the only one in the forest. She then lowered her guard, her claws sheathing slowly while she maintained her defensive position in case he tried to fight regardless of her reply. "I'm sorry. I did not know this was clan territory."

The smokey tom relaxed slightly keeping a distance from her as he sheathed his claws and twisted to flatten some of the ruffled fur on his back only managing to make it worse as he tried to keep his eyes on her "I wasn't aware there was any other clans nearby. We tried to pick a fairly secluded spot after our original home was taken over by dogs and twolegs."

Amberstar looked the toms frame over briefly. She analyzed each of his paws individually, wanting to make sure every single claw was sheathed before she leaned back and sat on her haunches. "I've been here for a few moons now. I can assure you, twolegs have never stepped a tails-length into this forest. I haven't seen a dog either." She glanced around their surroundings briefly before her gaze returned to him.

SootStar tensed slightly as she moved before relaxing once more taking another step back before he sat on his haunches as well lightly scratching the grass with his claws for a moment as a slightly nervous tic "I apologize for attacking you, I thought you were another rouge trespassing on our territory. I'm SootStar, the current leader of DawnClan."

"Ah, mistakes happen Sootstar." She said with a respectful dip of her head before raising it back up. "There's been a loner or two around my clan for a couple of moons now. I thought you were one of them." Her tail anxiously flicked as she spoke before her ears perked up. "I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Amberstar, leader of Silentclan."

He slightly smiled and respectfully dipped his head for a moment before he looked back up at her flicking his tail neatly over his paws as he completely relaxed "I've noticed a few loners around the area the day we made our camp here, i've been doing extra patrols trying to find them and hopefully scare them off."

Her tail coiled around her front paws in a similar fashion as her hazel eyes met his. She tilted her head to the side briefly as she listened intently, then nodded. "Liners didn't start showing up until about a moon after I got my nine lives. I can usually fight most of them off, but prefer not to."

The tom slightly nodded the tip of his tail slightly curling as he flicked his gaze around the area still on high alert "Most of the loners i've met have left relatively easy but some have been a bit more stubborn"
