Manestar felt Miststar stir beside him. He smiled and lifted his head. I should be in my camp! He got to his paws, and nuzzled Miststar. "We should get back to our camps," he said, a little reluctant to leave.

Miststar nodded, her eyes said. She licked his cheek, then dashed off to her camp

Manestar watched her dash off to her camp and then turned and ran as fast as her could to his camp. He stopped before the camp and then ran back to where he had buried last nights prey. He dug it up and then trotted back to camp, looking as if he had done some early hunting.

Mapleshadow sits near the camp entrance, grooming herself silently.

Mapleshadow looks up as Manestar pads into camp, nodding respectfully. Then she pauses, mid nod. She scents another cat on Manestar, one from another clan. She narrows her eyes at him, practically saying 'You're SO dead'.

Manestar nodded at Mapleshadow as he passed by and walked to the fresh-kill pile. He dropped his prey on the pile and then sat down to eat, feeling famished.

Manestar looked up and Mapleshadow. "I was near the border." he said, thinking about Miststar.

Mapleshadow stands up, stretching gracefully, then replies, "Uh huh, sure. With all due respect, Manestar, you're a horrible liar." Her bright green eyes glitter with amusement. "I of all cats know a lie when I hear one. But I won't tell." With that, she walks out of camp.
