Number of Cats: 18 Next Moonpool visit: now

The Clan was beginning to become increasingly large in size with seemingly every season. Now more than ever, the Nursery was overflowing with Queens and kits.
“Now, just weave the feeds like this...”
“I don’t like weaving. I like the tangled roots!”
FlickerClaw sighed at the young white Queen. “It’s important. There’s not enough room for all of your now, especially since you’ll be having kits all coming soon. I would prefer that you all are safe here...”
WhiteSea grumbled, but complied, weaving the reeds with the other Queens as FlickerClaw padded away.

RowanStar passed over to his deputy. “Hey! I organized the patrols for you while you were helping the Queens.”
FlickerClaw hesitated as he walked past the leader. “Why? I could’ve done it. It’s early anyway.”
RowanStar winced. “I-I get that. I just thought you should take a break today.” RowanStar could tell his deputy had been getting more and more on edge.
FlickerClaw sighed. “Perhaps you’re right. Thank you, but I will take over my duties for night patrols.”
RowanStar nodded slowly. He supposed that would do for now.

“FlickerClaw...?”
The cats mew made the deputy’s pelt prickle. He whipped around, only letting his fur flatten when he could connect the voice with a face. “Oh, hello GustClaw.”
“Hello. Are you doing alright?” GustClaw sat down next to the large cat.
FlickerClaw started at him with a blank gaze. “Why are you asking? I’m fine. I’m taking a break, says RowanStar.”
GustClaw sat silently for a long while. “There are many negative miasmas here. You should watch out. It may hurt you more than you know.”
FlickerClaws expression twisted in confusion. “What the heck are you talking about?”
GustClaw stood up and shook his head. “Just that your aura is changing. Be careful.” With that, he flicked his tail and ran back towards the camp.
FlickerClaw shook his head. “What a weird cat. Another one of those rogues that just doesn’t belong in a Clan like this...” But that’s okay. They would learn their place soon.

"if you would keep still, it wouldn't hurt as much!" acciapaw blurted out, irritation rippling
through his usually composed gaze. splitkit wondered briefly if it was because he felt pity-
or guilt- for her accident. if he was a better medicine cat, she could imagine his thoughts,
than splitkit's ear would not remain forever scarred and forever split right down the middle.
or, perhaps the long cut on the bridge of her nose would have not scarred; or maybe, her ot
her ear's tip would not be shredded. well, at least acciapaw didn't seem stare or gawk at her
wounds longer than he needed to wrap it.
"well maybe if you weren't so prickly with your long claws, it wouldn't hurt as much!" the calico
she-cat retorted, flicking her ear in annoyance. she gasped as the sudden tide of pain that
washed over her at just the tiniest of movements.
"buntingki- i mean, splitkit, i didn't mean to upset you. i'm sorry." he apologized briskly, guilt c
oming over him in sudden tsunami tides of waves. she couldn't help but roll her eyes furiously.
"it's fine. are you done yet?" she merely squeaked, forgetting to keep her composure as more p
ain shot through her. it felt as though she had a massive headache and it hadn't left for the last
five sundowns.
"i'm done. come back tomorrow. don't rough-house with adderkit, or shadowkit, or any of them,
for that matter." acciapaw murmured, looking in the distance as though there was something very
important there. splitkit glanced at him, squinting her eyes and flexing her claws.
"whatever you say," she muttered, feeling somewhat shy as she gazed at his gray-face and striking
blue eyes. they sent her far away; in a world of their own. she wondered if she would ever come ba
ck, when suddenly and abruptly acciapaw sharply turned his head, and padded away without another
word. does he know something i don't?

"i can't believe she's back." whispered skydance, her long silver and white fur flowing in the wind.
"how dare she show her face here, after abandoning poor shadowkit and pumpkin
kit, without even naming them? i practically raised her kits for her!" diamond murmured back, step
ping in front of the two black kits protectively.
"what do you mean? are you not our momma?" shadowkit squeaked, suddenly no longer the biggest,
strongest kit in the nursery.
"i will always be your mother." the siamese she-cat whispered back fiercely, licking shadowkit then
pumpkinkit.
"if you have come for your kits, they are not permitted to leave the clan." it was frecklestar's turn
to assert her dominance. "they belong to drizzleclan, not a hare-brained queen who leaves their
newborn's for another queen to care for."
"oh, i do not care for my kits. only their claim to the throne- your throne that is. it seems their
father- yes, the one you murdered, foxheart- was your predecesor. and seeing how you changed
the rules into a monarchy, i would say that i'm the rightful heir to the throne until they are of age.
you do see that, don't you dearest frecklestar?"

Greenleaf
During the season of greenleaf, you will catch more prey and are more likely to run into predators and rogue groups that try to settle on your territory. While floods may occur, droughts are far more likely and the amount of cats you receive goes down.

Currently, a drought has settled into all territories and the amount of prey caught will go down. Be careful not to spend too much time outside lest your clan overheats.

The badger is chased off! In the process, all four cats get hurt. The following medicines are needed (one per cat): raspberry leaves, celandine, and cobwebs. In addition, it is recommended that every cat receives one moon of rest.
The border patrol finds nothing of interest.

Palesun finds x1 dandelion and x1 lovage.
Redhawk is pregnant! She will give birth in two moons.

All of the apprentices learn fighting.
Pansystep gives birth to six (molly left/tom right, molly, molly, tom, tom) kits. All of the kits carry longhair, dilute, and siamese pointing. The patrol finds the eagles and nearby, Robinkit and Wobblekit. Thankfully, the patrol is able to save the kits but they will need x1 cobweb each. In addition, nine cats from the patrol are injured to varying degrees and will need both herbs and rest. Lemondrop, Loonpaw, and Dipperwing will need x1 marigold or x1 goldenrod each and 3 moons of rest. Daisytuft, Wisteriapaw, and Swayingtrees will need x1 chervil or x1 cobweb each and 2 moons of rest. Lastly, Lightningstrike, Whimbrelpaw, and Whisppaw will need x1 dock or x1 oak leaf each and 1 moon of rest.
The hunting patrol catches x3 birds.
Neither border patrol finds anything of interest.
