Hello!

This is my third Nightmare fuel factory post.

The monster above is a lost robot that for some reason still works despite some weird objects that are now growing on it. This robot reeks a bit from neglect and a green steamy mist envelopes it. Although it has no legs, it can move around and float up to three feet off the ground. As part of your entry, please write a short diary entry for a typical day of this monster.

i saw another child again. she was crying, and begged me not to pick her up. she quieted down after a few moments in the boiler.
i found a broken dream that had washed up on the beach. i left it for the trash collectors to pick it up.
there was a broken china doll on the sidewalk of old santa cruz. it quickly cracked under my wheels.
i picked up a rabbit. since we are not supposed to incinerate animals, i named him robby.
robby likes to sit on my shoulder.
i let a man pet robby before he was burned.
robby is my friend.
the boss saw robby.
...
robby's dead now.
i almost didn't make it into the gates and heard the screeching sounds of the machines behind me.
but i made it in just in time.

its been a long time since the apocalypse.
3,577 years, to be exact.
ever since the war, things had been looking badly for earth. the politician turmoil between continents left the world in a state of disarray, and the bombs didn't help anything. but it was the humans that tipped the scale enough to let the balance fall. ecosystems crumbled, animals died. people fled from their broken cities, only to find even more destruction elsewhere. and it seemed mother nature had had enough.
earthquakes.
tsunamis.
tornadoes.
flash floods.
hurricanes.
the world fell a part, piece by piece.
it was as if the humans were the dinosaurs, and the very world they lived on was that asteroid.
there was nothing left on earth, nothing alive.
nothing except robots.
the robot took charge, making an effort to rebuild the world. that is where they are now, having developed their own civilization to protect themselves against the man-made machines that went haywire.
humans aren't welcome on this new earth.
