Hi, um, I'm not sure if the main thread is the right place to ask this question but I'm currently trying to grow a kalon that's been gifted to me but the person who had gifted them to me won't respond to adding me to the oekaki that the kit's on. I tried commenting on the original thread but nobody will respond to that one either and I'm pretty sure that the person who owned the kit before the person that GIFTED them to me isn't active anymore. I know it's really complicated, but I don't know the kit's hex codes to grow them and I can't do it myself.. i remember asking this before, but I don’t remember a response so I’m so sorry if this is a repeat hg.. would a trait of, say, a “winter coat” be allowed? I know colour change and such is considered legendary, but say it was of entirely natural purposes. a gradual change that can’t be controlled. what rarity would that fall under? would that count as gene splicing? magical powers? a nonrarity or fur edit?? simply not allowed?

second, if you were to apply a fur edit to a hairless kalon, would you be able to design markings and such in accordance to their existing colour palette?

Hello! I have a couple of suggestions, I hope this is an okay place to post them!

First, I think it would be really helpful if we could add a quick blurb on the process of adopting a kalon into the first post. A lot of people have asked recently and I didn't realize until I looked again but there really isn't a guide on how to adopt on the main thread here outside of the replies to the question list in the pages of the thread.

And secondly, this one is much iffier, but I was thinking about the fact that a merkalon's tail can be altered with a common tail edit item without compromising rarity. Would it be possible to create a "trait editor" item that could apply to any rarity of edit in order to adjust an edit a kalon already has? A hair or shine edit is easy to replace, but if you had something like a halo you wanted to tweak it's a much much more costly endeavor - and for wings or other legendary traits it's completely impossible. The item itself could be fairly rare/expensive/limited considering the editing power it gives - but I think it would be a nice option to have!

Reminded I had this question by kyar honestly. Say a kal already has a common hair edit. If I wanted to change the style and length could I just get a common edit item or would I first need to use an edit remover to remove the original hair first? I feel like I saw this explained somewhere but can't find it. :,D Thank you!

All you would need is a common edit to change the hair style/color. ^^

If you're needing to be added to the kit's ref, my suggestion is to PM a CS oekaki staff member and politely ask to be added, and show the proof that you own the kit now!

But to get hex codes, you don't have to be added!
Just insert the image here in the URL boxes and select the colours you need, and it'll generate the hex code for you: http://imagecolorpicker.com/

For a kalon with two tails, does a kalon have to have a shine on both, or can it have the shine on one?
