Ask a question to the kalon above you!

Just a little game to promote development of kalons! Please only post kalons here!
Inspired by multiple similar threads on toyhouse, that are loads of fun.

The aim of the game is to ask a question to one of the above user's kalons.
Eg; Person A asks a question to someone's kalon above and links their kalons pages
Person B asks a question to one of person A's kalons and links their own kalons for the next person to ask
Person A can edit in their answer to the question on their post!

-Make sure to keep questions cs appropriate and be polite! This is here to encourage thought on the characters personality
-Try and ask questions that lead to development, if possible!
-Make sure to link your kalons for the person below you! (Unless the link is in your sig.)
-You can choose any kalon from the user above you to ask a question to, unless they directly specify not to ask a certain kalon.
-Try to keep a reasonable number of posts between yours! Wait at least 2-3 posts before posting again
-Requesting preference to develop a specific kalon is okay! But if doing this don't keep reposting the same kalon like 10x a page, you might start to stump people!
-You do not have to edit in/answer the question posed! Though its encouraged if you have the time.

They may love being scared, but is there anything that scares them truly and earnestly? Something that's too scary,even for them? Or do they just get ramped up even more on exhilaration? What is their reaction to being scared or startled?

"The most profound? There were many things in my life I would consider profound. The strong feeling of sorrow of leaving my family behind in order to pursue the knighthood I had ambition towards in my youth, the happiness of achieving this dream, the joy I felt raising Ithuriel, watching her succeed, even if not my own child.
But of all, the most profound emotion was one I cannot explain to you. One of anger and betrayal. The reverberation of the world itself as the guardian to heaven died, the day my general killed the great creature and sentenced our armies to a fate worse than death itself.

Watching my brothers taken from me, unable to stop her, unable to stand, It filled me with rage and anguish. I think I should have done something, but samely if i had I'd be one of them myself. I'd been left behind to watch the general's daughter, and the news I received fell upon my shoulders like a weight unliftable.

I learned I wasn't very important to the future of my family from a young age. Born of Rasland royalty into the imperial family I was often looked upon as an extra piece, a spare body, for a few siblings came between myself and the eldest. The succession of the throne would never be my path, and subsequently many important roles were filled by other family members before my maturity. No one had a place for me and I was reminded of such by them daily. Instead I took to the world like it was a story waiting to be told and I the writer meant to create it. I fell easily into the arts; music became my soul. I dedicated my time to helping the commoners or playing the part of a bard for their entertainment. My family and members of high society looked down upon me like a stain on their livelihood.

My sister Shay, whom I cherish dearly, often scolded me for my choices. She let me know the little extent of my worth within the family. This was not her fault, she was molded by others and being the eldest there's a great deal of stress on her shoulders. I loved her anyway. No matter how little she appeared to love me in return.

This treatment has shaped much of my life to define who it is I am today. I learned the strength to persevere in the act of portraying my true self despite societal rules, but also began to acknowledge the doubt in my own worth placed there by others. My belief in their words has challenged me to try and be better, to do better, by their standards. I never stop working toward a time where I will one day be needed... be necessary, to someone else.

What single event has had the most impact on who you are? Why was it so impactful? How did it affect the way you carry yourself today?

Yuelai's parents have always been pianists, musicians, and from a young age, he's always been a big fan of watching his parents play together. When he was younger, he'd sit on his father's lap and their fingers would dance around the piano, hitting notes. Although not self taught, Yuelai certainly never took on a proper piano class either. He learnt both by watching and playing, as well as with the guidance of his parents. For a good number of years, Yuelai played solo, alone, whether performing or on his free time. However, it certainly is no longer the case. With Jinseok by his side, they often "play" together; though it does end up with more laughing and shoving than tapping notes and keys on the actual piano.

How did he discover his love for the piano? Was it mistake or pushed on him by his parents? Was it something he learned at a young age or was it something that he discovered later in life? Does he prefer to play alone, or would he enjoy playing music with others?

"My brother? He was an...unfortunate victim of criminal activity, killed at at a young age. I don't know the specifics, my family kept that from me like a tightly locked secret, they didn't think I could handle it. I did learn later it was a condition of murder, unfortunately, and foolish assumptions of safety where there were none. It could have been prevented and that was the worst knowledge to live with.

My parents were far from supportive, but I suppose also far from estranged. They were present in this sort of empty way that those who lost a child might be, there- to some degree, there to scold me and point me in the right direction, but further than parental obligations it seemed to make them sick to have me around. My writing career is what drove them away most finally, as such a career was seen by them as a worthless pursuit. I haven't spoken to them in years"

"scared? no, of course not! i love cats. even the big ones are just babies. there's a few lions at the sanctuary that weigh probably three or four times as much as me, and all they even do is eat and sleep. they're awesome to sit with - and the looks that people give me when i tell them about my job? fantastic. but the worst that's ever happened, probably was one of the tigers trying to play with - my arm, you know, we were playing around and she grabbed a hold of my arm. didn't hurt me or anything, but it was pretty nerve wracking. she's a big tiger."

"Truthfully? It all started because I was such a hyper-active kid. When I was little, my dad taught me all these fun little dances as an outlet for all that extra energy. It turned out I was really good at learning by watching, so as I got older, mimicking popular dance routines I saw in music videos just sorta became something I did for the sheer fun of it...though I have to admit, the attention it got me from my classmates was pretty nice too. During highschool I made some friends with similar interests who got me involved in the street dance community, and I began composing my own original routines. Not long after that, I started posting videos of my work online, and I actually have a pretty sizeable following on my social media accounts these days!"

"As far as careers go, I do sometimes enter some local competitions, but they're usually pretty informal. The whole reason I dance to begin with is because the freedom of it makes me happy, and being a stage dancer professionally means giving up alot of that freedom...I don't think it would make me happy in the long run...I'm still kind of exploring my options, but I have thought about becoming an dance instructor or personal trainer; I like working with people, and I think I could really enjoy it!"
