Tracker Dog Application Series 10Username: Applefiend
Tracker Dog you want: 31
Name you'll give it: Peppermint (sometimes nicknamed Pepper or Minty)
Reason why you want it:
I have a weakness for species without can't see very well but "see" in a different way like smell or sonar or something. Plus they look like such cute animals a great small pet for my cast of characters in their home as a pet.
As for this particular one I love the design of grey and blue together. It's so ....cute looking. It may be a "weak" reason for wanting something and you'd have to take my word for it...but I grew attached while looking at it. And I was drawing a tracker and ended up coloring it with her design and .... got even more attached.
Will it be used in any kind of story?: Maybe? I'm not a big story writer. In fact I dislike writing stories as a passtime. But she will be in many drawings and maybe get her own plot/storyline that exists in my head which /might/ get turned into a story if I really get inspired. But I doubt the last part lol. DAMNIT JIM I'M AN ANIMATOR NOT A WRITER!
Describe its personality:
Pepper used to work in the army. Serving as a kind of medic, Supposedly going after most of the heavy battling is over and done with, going around delivering relief and aid to those who were injured in batte before the more serious aid arrives. She's a bit overly eager about her job, sometimes rushing to help even when a battle hasn't ended yet.
She was a hard worker always trying her best, licking wounds and barking whenever she finds a new wounded person. But off the field and when her medical unit finds some time to relax she still feels a bit antsy, usually keeping herself busy going into the Medical tent and checking up on the people she found, seeing if they made it or not. She's not one for just sitting around doing nothing. She likes feeling usefull to people this can work to her disadvantage as sometimes she gets in the way of people while trying to help, thus being kicked out of the tent.
However right now there are no wars to fight or any soldiers to heal. She tried to go into a veteren's home and various hospitals. But those sort of things required stronger healing and didn't supply her with enough challenge. She wanted to run out and find the people in need. But alas her current situation is a boring one...in which she grew really anxious and nervous. Almost into a problem dog to every house and hospital she visited and was quickly thrown out.
Her handler was considering giving back to the lab to get taken apart or some other method of retiring her as a worker dog if she couldn't take this last job. Peppermint was going to have to give it her all. She was excited, but also a bit excited from the pressure of knowing it was live or die. they arived at the place, it was a mountain rescue team. Her current handler was doubtful of her passing the training due to her small size and the sheer power needed to do this sort of job. But it was worth a final shot.
So currently Peppermint is undergoing training to become a mountain rescue dog. Due to ehr small size and her current mental health she is having trouble with it. But she's showing signs of improvement with eath passing day. It's tireing for her, but when she comes home with her handler you can tell she's content and happy. She feels like she's doing good again.
WIP (ran out of time again orz )
