Event Batch Spooks

Postby Eleya » Wed Nov 01, 2017 11:16 am

So you know, we are a serious breeding center. But we had a deal with some very mysterios guy... He said he had an awesome litter for us. All pure breed rough collies, he said. Best linage, well cared for. We would love them. And yeah, we accepted the deal. And this is what we got...

1.
This guy seems to be quite nice although we fear his eye and tongue colour a little... He seems to be a bi-black, but with very odd markings. We cant keep him for our breedings, since... yeah well, just look at his colour... Who would want a collie like this? So he is searching for a new home.
Owner:

2.
This girl seems to lack some colour. She looks like a very faded bi-blue. We called it ghost-blue now. Well, she has a huge love to hide somewhere. If you find her, just take her with you, wont you? We cant keep her in our kennels. We are afraid of a double dilute...
Owner:

3.
This girl seems to be immune to brushes... We tried... but hours of work turned out to be useless... Just look at her! All that fur! Another reason to not keep a collie for breeding purposes... So well, if you want a fuzzy little collie, just take her please!
Owner: polysaccharide

4.
That one should be a sable. At least thats what we were told... well we call it a pumpkin sable now. He is attracted to candles... Who knows why... Anyways, we cant keep him. So would you want to give him a new home?
Owner:

5.
What is that even? Those markings are more than odd on a collie... Still he took our hearts in a second. We wont be using him for breedings, but he will still stay with us.
Owner: Eleya

6.
Rough collies he said... This though seems to be a smooth... and her colour is also far away from the bright colours she should have. She is a lazy little girl. Not motivated at all to do any dog sports... so well, we would love to find her a new home. Will you take her?
Owner:

If you want to adopt these, please tell me what you would name them, and a little story about taking them home.
I will still accept breedings with those, but they will only have 25% chance to pass on their unusual marking/fur length. And I will only accept ONE breeding with each of them.

"please, sweetheart, work with me here!" i groan, fighting the strong pull of the matted canine against the flimsy leash. "you want to go to the park? seriously? but it's raining. and october."

the leash-pulling pauses as ruelle looks back at me, a disappointed look in her eyes. not about my refusal, though. oh no, she was giving me that look mothers give you when you complain about something, but they don't care. it's a look that says 'well, too bad, honey.'

"don't give me that look. unlike you, i don't come with a fur coat. i'm not taking you to the park because it's cold and dark and miserable and it'll still be there when this weather clears up." she snorts, then finally allows me to start leading the way. "thank you,'' i huff, relieved to get out of the rain.

- - -

cold, miserable, and soaking wet, i flop down on the floor next to my space heater, not even bothering to take off my wet hoodie.
suddenly ruelle collapses on top of me, a heavy and warm ball of wet fur. i struggle to catch my breath, trying to shift to a more comfortable and breathable position. once i can breathe, i try to push her off me, but fail miserably. i struggle for a few moments, then give up, embracing my new life as a dog bed.

it's not the worst life i can think of.

Number: 2
Name: Casper
Story: I Was walking Around the Magic Guard collie kennels taking a look at the new collies they had recently gotten in I wasn't to interesting in adopting but keeping an eye open encase there was one that I could not leave behind. I kept walking when suddenly I saw some really strange collies they where not like the regular ones they where Halloween themed there was a pumpkin one a skeleton one I had to do a double take on that one then at the very end there was a seemingly empty kennel. But on the paper it said
"This girl seems to lack some colour. She looks like a very faded bi-blue. We called it ghost-blue now. Well, she has a huge love to hide somewhere. If you find her, just take her with you, wont you? We cant keep her in our kennels. We are afraid of a double dilute."
I Looked closer and there! in the corner I could see a faint outline of a collie I grabbed a collar and leash and quickly put the collar and leash on her so she could not hide again as soon as I got them on her I crouched down to get a better look she was breath taking a beautiful light blue with white eyes. I knew then and there that she would have to come home with me.

short story:
I lifted my hand to knock on the door of the kennel, only to find it ajar. I pushed the door open, unsure about whether there had been a miscommunication.
I had come to pick up two puppies; one, a male, that they called a "pumpkin sable" or something and a female with a diluted coat.
The room I had now stepped into was dark. Well, except for one little area near the back. It was dimly lit by what seemed to be candles. Maybe two or three.
"Hello?" I called out softly. I waited for a few moments, but there was no response except for what sounded like breathing of what I assumed were dogs. I hoped.
I ran my hand along the wall, searching for a light switch, as a began to walk towards the light. I gave up on trying to find a switch as I approached the candles.
And there, laying in the light, were two small figures. Or maybe one big one.
No, two.
As I crept closer, I recognized them to be dogs.
I reached forward and brushed my hand along the back of the orange-ish pup, my little pumpkin sable. The dog next to him, the diluted girl, opened her eyes slowly. She thumped her tail against the ground and gradually lifted her head, followed by the rest of her body.
"Hi little girl," I greeted her softly, letting her sniff my fingers. Her soft, pink tongue reached out and licked my hand. I gently stroked her head and scratched in between her ears.
As soon as she finally stood, the other dog awoke. He was on his feet in a matter of seconds, a flurry of fur and tail and energy. He leaped onto my legs, his butt wiggling as his paws danced. I laughed, taking his paws in my heads and dancing with him.
"Yep, I think these are my pups," I said to myself.
I picked up an adoption paper after some searching and signed it.
I began walking towards the door, realizing that I needed to be careful getting them into my car to make sure neither run off.
But as I closed the door behind me, the pups followed, the little guy at my side, eager and energized, and the girl pup trailing a few steps behind, walking at her own pace.
I helped them into the passenger area of my car, then went around to the driver's seat.
On the ride home, I came up with multiple names for both of them.
By the time we arrived, I had decided: Randell for the pumpkin boy, and Evelyn for the laid-back girl.

story;;
As I walk into the kennels something catches my eye. A pale form in one of the kennels, at first I assumed it was a blanket or something but as I got a closer look I realized it was a a dog. She had the most beautiful grey fur and stunning eyes. I instantly knew she was the one. I called to her softly as not to frighten her. She slowly crept toward me. I was able to get the collar and leash on her and lead her out. The car ride was rather uneventful as I waked her in the house however she seemed to get scared and ran off. i rushed to find her, that was the I noticed the blankets on my bed moving. Surly she was hiding there and she was. I lifted up the blankets and found her staring at me. I reached to pet her head and she happily accepted my attention. After a few minutes I decided she must have calmed down by now so I left her in my room to get something to eat. When I returned she was under my blankets again. when I uncovered her the second time she nudged my hand as if to say "let go." I let go of the blanket I was holding and she crawled back under it. For some reason she seemed to enjoy hiding under blankets. Everyday I would come home to her under my blankets so I got her one of her own. She loved it she would sleep under it every night. From then on that be came her "thing." It was an awfully cute little quirk and I wouldn't want her to change.

Number: #1
Name: Beaver
Story: The uniquely-patterned puppy lay, curled up in the corner, shivering from fear. A lot of the other pups from his litter were already gone, probably exploring their new homes. Almost every single one, except him. Occasionally, a human would take one look at him, and turn away in shock from seeing his strange fur. He felt as if he would never be adopted--- that he should just lose all hope. The pure-breed slowly laid down his head and fell asleep. When he woke up from his nap, the pup woke up to see an unfamiliar face shadowing over him and talking to one of the workers. As soon as he stood up, the mysterious person smelt of joy. "Beaver!", called out the girl. "Beaver!", she chirped. Not knowing what was going on, the pup started wagging his tail. Somehow, he was drawn to the words coming out of her mouth. She seemed trustworthy... Beaver slowly approached the person, still a bit hazy from his nap. She lifted him up in the air, and right then and there, he knew he had finally found a home! When Beaver arrived to his new living space, aromas of cheese and peanut butter swept through the air. Mmm, how that smelt good! Was the girl baking dog biscuits?! He turned around to see a small home-made banner that read "Welcome Home!" on it, and a corner with nice display of dog toys. Was this all for Beaver? The pup wagged in excitement. Oh, how he admired parties. Right then and there, he new that this was all meant to be!
