If I notice that you have been gone for three months with out doing a single thing for the thread, I will remove you from the front. As a staff member, I would appreciate that you did some thing for the thread. However, once a crew member, always a crew member, so PM me about your job and explain to my why you deserve it back, if you want it back. Of course, I'm not going to be mad, I'll just say something encouraging. :3 Don't worry, it is not a big deal. I do apologize for this, but I need to be firm because I have doing an awful lot lately and have had to hire new workers .. just remember, I still appreciate what you did for LE. Thanks.



SPECIES INFORMATION

Basic Information-
It is named a Lous Ekard. [soul drake] Soul because they are a very spiritual creature and considered sacred, then drake because they resemble a dragon, or drake. The nickname for Lous Ekard is just 'Ekard'. If you look carefully. Lous Ekard /actually/ spells Suol Drake. It was originally Luos Ekard, but the people of the Lous Ekard's land found that name strange and changed it to Lous Ekard, but kept the meaning of the name.

It has three fingers on each front paw, all similar to ours [excluding our thumb]. Their tail is the strongest part of the muscular systems, and can shatter even a stone hut. They have four eyes, two similar to a cat's when they aren't dialated, and two more that are similar to lizard eyes, but they are very minute and are diagonally right from the bigger eyes.

The Ekard has a very fine strip of fur all down its spine, always a very silky consistency. It is never tangley, even if the Ekard tries its best to mangle the fur there. It is meant for when it swims [because that is its greatest talent, in each breed], that when a predator looks down, it thinks its fur is a type of deep sea plant.

The Lous Ekard's ears are very long and deep because the sound is meant to echo inside the ear making it easier to recall things. The part of the brain that stores memories is closer to the ear than any other part of the brain, making its memories repeat in its ears and head, the noises echoing inside the ears. They fold back very far, making it hard for water to get inside. The fold back and dip down, leaving an air pocket for less pressure on the ear drum.

The nose is slender and long for aero-dynamics when it slithers along the shore. A strange film fills the nostrils when it hits water [a chemical reaction] causing it to act like gills when underwater letting only oxygen in, and no water.


Normal Lous Ekard. [C]
The Normal Lous Ekard has no special mutations compared to other Ekards. It is a common [C] breed, and like most Ekards, it can live on land and water.


Bearded Lous Ekard. [U]
The Bearded Lous Ekard is a special Ekard that lacks the soft fur on its back and the fins in its legs. Instead, it has very soft dog-like fur that is always of a long consistency. It grows from its legs, where on a Normal Lous Ekard's fins would be. On the tip of its tail is that same fur forming a leaf-like shape. The fur is still flows here the like leg-fur, but it does tend to be shorter and more stiff. It has two long whiskers that grow from its snout. They grow forever and never stop, so on some old Bearded Lous Ekards, you will see their whiskers exeeding the length of a bus. It is an uncommon [U] breed, and can only live underwater.


Domestic Lous Ekard. [VR]
The Domestic Lous Ekard is a very, /very/ special Ekard. It is an Ekard that was bred with regular dogs so humans could essentially bring these creatures into their homes as pets. The breeding was a success, and the sharp fins and extra eyes dissapeared. Each Ekard comes with a name plate tied to the whisker in the ear [the Bearded Lous Ekard was also used in this breeding]--it is harmless to the pet. These Ekards have grown two more legs, emerging from their eel-like tail. This tail's power has decreased greatly, and would be next to nothing in a duel against any other Ekard. However, with these new legs comes new problems for the at-home Lous Ekard owners--they are very fast. It is a very rare [VR] breed, and can only live above water. However, most still have their cousin's abilities and can swim for long periods of time underwater, they just cannot live there. When bred with another Domestic Lous Ekard, they will produce one Domestic newborn with very limited effects from a potion or any other item. So it is /very/ rare if the item works during breeding. If you use a potion for extra kits and it works, the other one+ kits will not be Domestic. They'll be of a normal Ekard genetic strand. This is why most Domestic Ekards don't breed because they cannot care for their different types of young efficently.


Serenity Lous Ekard. [R]
The Serenity Lous Ekard is a majestic Ekard. It is an ancient Lous Ekard that still resembles the very beginning stages of the Ekard's life cycle. It is strictly a deep-sea Ekard in which it lives at the bottom of the ocean. The two tails and extra long mane act as protection, the two tails for attacking with twice the power, and the mane like deep-sea plant life. It works to keep the Ekard hidden from predators. The ears are always bent down so the air bubbles pack up in their ears putting less pressure on the ear drums. It's feet are better or molding around the rocky bottom of the sea-floor. The Serenity is considered the most beautiful Ekard of all, and is a rare [R] breed.


Highskies Lous Ekard. [R]
The Highskies Lous Ekard is an important Ekard to the eco-system, as it is the only found Ekard that lives in the sky. It makes its burrows in the canopy of the tropical rain forests. It is an air Lous Ekard, and can only take a dip in the water for short periods of time. It is normally a some-what aggressive breed, not enjoying humans at all, but some enjoy people. It has a cloud/mist that encircles the tip of the tail and thin wings that help the creature change direction. The wings don't have really any support of literally flying, as it actually levitates on its own. The Highskies Lous Ekard has long, skin-like flaps that grow out of the legs where fins would be. They help the Ekard glide across the air. It's bones are hollow, and it can levitate in such a way where it can sleep on top of clouds. A rare [R] Lous Ekard, it is a sign of bad things coming.



FAQ
Q: "What really /is/ Lous Ekard, or LE?"
A: LE is a way to provide entertainment and excitment while you try to collect the adoptables handed out here. It's an adoptable thread, a place to collect virtual pixel pets [in a ruly manner] to appease the human's nature of collecting. Also, a way to be an outlet for creative boredom for the staff.

Q: "So, how do I adopt a Lous Ekard?"
A: In the adoption post in this thread, when a litter is put up, a number, the gender, and a brief explanation of the entire litter plus the name of the artist will be put up. When Xrae [me] posts that a litter has been put up and you can adopt, you may fill out the form provided for the adoption process and post it. Hurry, though, because you might have competition for that same pet!

Q: "Why don't they grow?"
A: Growing has become a hassle for the team, and Xrae, Ninjutsu, and Glowbee's Photobuckets don't need to be filled with so many images that eventually just become one.

Q: "I am leaving Chicken Smoothie/the forums/simply do not want my Lous Ekard[s] anymore. What should I do?"
A: Just PM Xrae what pet[s] you don't want, and she will relieve you of you pet[s].

Q: "Can I be part of the staff?"
A: Maybe. c: I will probably make a contest soon for a staff competion.

Q: "Woah, those dividers are really pretty~ Did you make them?"

RULES
-You can breed your pet as many times as you want, but be prepared to pay a very small fee each time.
-Each round, you can only breed twice. With two of your own pets, or with somebody else.
-Breeding is open only on Fridays.
-The pets being bred must be a male and female. No same-gender breeding.

INFORMATION
Lous Ekards are species that can breed. They usually have 2-4 pups, but it is possible that they have one or over four. These pups are always a combination of the parents, and will be similar to them. You can use items on your Lous Ekard to alter breeding effects [see 'Market'] if you please, but they are not free. You must use the LE currency to purchase these items, as well as to breed. There are two options to breeding: breeding with your own pets, or one of your and one of someone else's.



OPTIONS AND FORMS

Option One-
Breed with two of your Ekards. This costs $200 LE coins. You select two of your Lous Ekards and fill out this form properly. The pets are bred and you keep all the pups reared.

Option Two-
Breed with one of your Ekards and one of someone else's Ekard. This costs $100 LE coins for each person. The Ekards will be bred and the two of you must choose who gets what pet. Person who provided the items picks pups first. If there were no items used, the person owning the female Ekard chooses first.

RULES
-Customs are somewhat rare, so they are going to be a bit pricey. I'm not going to bargain--what's here is what's here.
-Customs are open on Sunday, and only then. I will take five slots per artist. It is first-come, first served.
-Please no sparkle or gloom-dogs. Also, please no creatures that have scene hair, or any obnoxiously colored hair. A little rainbow here and there is fine, but pixeling is hard to do with such intricate designs.
-Prices may go up.
-If you are a great help in the thread, or if you are a great friend, you may be entitled to get a free custom! Do not PM Xrae, or any of the staff about this, though. If you do get a free custom, it will be PMed to you.

INFORMATION
Customs are Lous Ekards whose designs are chosen by the customer. They are not really a pure Lous Ekard, but a painlessly genetically altered Ekard. These Ekards require lots of extra love as this big change may cause some shock to the pet. Customs are only open on Sundays, and take a few days to accomplish. Sometimes certain breeds or Lous Ekards are not accepted as customs, but may be released as a custom for a limited time as a special event. All of this does cost a certian amount of LE coins, and all the prices are final.

INFORMATION
The market is a place where you can buy potions, shells, and kelp grass that all alter breeding and/or your Lous Ekard. Sometimes, there are sale days when everything is $50 LE coins off. Most of the items have their own specific type of changing, but sometimes scientists mess up the chemicals and get things mixed up, so there is really no order of things. Sometimes things do go out of stock, so you can no longer buy them for a certain period of time. They will be striked out and it will have a note near it saying that it is not in stock.

Potions-

Potion #1. [green potion] Costs $200 LE coins.
The green potion allows one pup in the litter to only look like one of the parents. You pick the parent it looks like. This can happen naturally, as well, but it is an uncommon occurance.


Potion #2. [purple potion] Costs #96d6d600 LE coins.
The purple potion guarantees one more pup that would've orginally been reared.


Potion #3. [blue potion] Costs $400 LE coins.
The blue potion guarantees two more pups that would've originally been reared.

Shells-

Shell #1. [yellow shell] Costs $800 LE coins.
The yellow shell adds one level of rarity of a Lous Ekard right when you adopt. [this is why it is so expensive]


Shell #2. [green shell] Costs $100 LE coins.
The green shell changes the gender to the opposite gender.


Shell #3. [purple shell] Costs #96d6d600 LE coins.
The purple shell allows you to adopt one more Lous Ekard in your time period.

Kelp Grass-

Kelp #1. [orange kelp] Costs $1000 LE coins.
The orange kelp guarantees one random pup [in otherwords, has to relenvence to the parents in design] in your breeding litter.


Kelp #2. [red kelp] Costs $100 LE coins.
The red kelp guarantees one female pup in your breeding litter.


Kelp #3. [green pup] Costs $100 LE coins.
The green kelps guarantees one male pup in your breeding litter.
