That's the response I got to my PM in its entirety, but it's a reply nonetheless. =\
Hmmmm... I really hope Dragon1312 is actually using Coal, otherwise it's not really fair on the artist who spent so much time creating the dragon :3

Personally, I think we should be required to battle with or write/draw something for our dragons every so often, even if it's once every 6 months or something. That way we at least know the dragon is being used.
Sharubii Kassua, quit stalking me.

I understand your argument, but honestly, that requires more effort and monitoring than I'm willing to give/do. Besides, they migut get art from other sites besides CS and roleplay on other forums. Soot originated as a char on another forum, as did Dahlia before she was renamed Curare. Unless we want to effectively stalk all the users here who have a dragon, I just don't think it's worth it. But then, I've never had anyone adopt art from me, so my viewpoint may differ from those of people who are atached to their work. XD
Edit: You know I'm on my phone when my spelling dies a horrible death.

Yeah, its hard to monitor so many users, and imagine how many that could possibly be further down the road for this shop xD That's a lot of work. c:
I don't think there's much that we could do to make sure people are actively using their dragon. The two weeks adoption rule thingy is a good start because it makes sure people really want the dragon (in some cases > u>) but beyond that I don't feel there's anything that would be effective. If they want to participate and be a part of the thread then that's really up to them.

Not everyone wants to write stories for something they're going to use to battle- I do, but others- perfectly fine potential owners- might not.
Tiikeria wrote:I know I don't post here much, but, I have been trying to get my first dragon, and I have to agree with Triple. I barely have time to write stories for PoH, let alone one for a dragon I'm just going to battle. If I win one, I may make a story later, but I don't think it's a good idea to make it stories/art only for adoptions. Some people may really want a dragon, and may honestly take care of it if they won, but they can't write a story/draw the dragon. I get using that method every-so-often, but all the time?

Sorry, I just wanted throw my opinion out there. :3
True, but I'm talking a little personality kind of thing, ya know? ;3 To show you care enough to take just a few minutes to write a small little paragraph. <3

Maybe as a compromise we have some that are story-based and others that are just picked randomly. I know Documentary has her dragon's winner being chosen by the quality of the story the applicant writes.
We've added a part to the forms for pre-mades, asking if the applicant will use the dragon. So far its not affecting who wins, but maybe it should?
/has no idea about any other adoption agency xD
*FLAILS ARMS To BE NOTICED* MINE DOES TO YOU KNOW. YOU HURT MY FEELINGS! D:
*Sniffles* Meanie...
xD Onyx ya know I'm pulling your leg. ;3 But mine is a story-to-win thing.
Maybe not asking if they will use, but asking HOW they will use it. Or just say write at least a paragraph(five sentences) about the dragon, ex. how it will be used, what might it be used for, a personality, etc.
If you did my idea or a little how it will be used thingy, I think it should affect who wins, but only slightly. Like if it's randomly chosen with someone who barely put anything, put nothing, or put crap in the category, then that person doesn't get the dragon, you know?

Good point on the 'how' they're going to use it, I think that would be better then the 'if' they're going to use it. xD cause for that all they have to do is put, 'yes' x3 I'll change that in the form to how.
xD Sorry Scamps, Doc's was the last one I looked at moments before checking forms and that was the one that stuck in my head <3333
I think if we add the how to the forms/write 5 sentences and that don't do that then they won't be able to win. That should make it fair since we gave them fair warning.

... At least that's better than:
Put her in my sig. Post her on FB. Make an avi out of her. Breed her. IDK, lol.
xD But it is a good idea- despite the fact that I love my compound sentences and one-two really long ones of mine would probably be just as long- if not longer- than the five sentences put together. :P /smartidiocy
