» Personality |Fizz is a rather excitable and passionate viscet, incredibly caring and meticulous when it comes to the hobbies she so dearly loves. Gardening calms and helps her focus on every little detail of her actions, ensuring she can do the best with taking care of the plants and examining them. Often times when it comes to other things Fizz needs to do, she has trouble concentrating and will most likely end up aloof and distracted. It was never intentional, however, as she couldn't really help it. Having a short attention span catches up easily to her in her every day actions, causing her to forget to do simple tasks. She was well aware of her setbacks by the time she was an adult, and was incredibly grateful for Alani's patience with it all.

» Backstory |Alani was rather surprised to receive such a strange egg with little to no notice from Bird that morning. It all seemed to happen in a blur of events; one moment she was leaving her home after completing her weekly plant watering duties, to the erratic viscet urgently shoving a naturally colored eggs into her arms. Bird had asked if she had any experience with raising viscets, and fortunately, Alani did. She was given no explanation as to how or where the egg exactly came from, but she knew she needed to be watching over it until it hatched.
Just over a week from that fateful day, the egg hatched and revealed a caramel viscling with coral highlights throughout its pelt. Something looked so familiar in its markings, throwing Alani off just a bit—but without any reluctance, she took care of the viscling to the best of her abilities. Her hardwork began to quickly pay off, and soon enough, she had another helping paw with the back garden slowly taking over the old house. It was lonely before, left in a falling apart home with feelings of desolation and depression. Alani missed her father so dearly, and felt incomplete without his loving and positive presence close by. As fate would have it, illness took him from her, and she was left sensing abandon and desertion. She was a complete and utter mess, to say the least.
Having another viscet constantly in her home was foreign to Alani, as she had grown accustomed to depression and heartache. Fizz was like a ray of gentle sunlight, filtering in through the window of a dark house for the first time. The viscling showed promise of becoming a close companion to Alani, and possibly even one that could fill in the gap left behind by her beloved father. With time the two viscets were rarely seen apart, often spending hours within the garden or sauntering around the village joyously chattering to one another.
Fizz began to take a fondness to gardening and taking care of the plants, a look of awe crossing her face whenever Alani would begin describing each flower's meaning and how her father used to care for them himself. "Now it's just me taking care of them..." she murmured, trailing off as she grew emotional. Fizz rested a reassuring paw onto her shoulder, earning a warm smile from Alani. "Would you like to help take care of them with me?" The viscling nodded fervently, an eager grin clear on their face. "Alright, alright, don't hurt yourself!" She laughed, crouching down to help her with the watering can.
The next few months went by like that through Fizz's adolescence—the young viscet joined Alani early in the morning whenever she'd go through and check each and every plant to ensure its getting all the nutrients it needs, or that it was receiving enough water each week. Alani taught Fizz well, and some days she would need to utilize what she learned to check the plants for her. The daunting task of scanning each leaf and petal for any possible signs of weakness or lack of nutrients left Fizz rather nervous. What if she messed up? What would Alani do?
With her worrying, she eventually jinxed herself. She completely missed a plant, in fact. The next week a lilac bush was found dried and dead, lacking water. When Fizz's eyes fell upon the terrible sight, she ran to fetch Alani immediately. It took Alani an hour or two to finally calm down the panicking Fizz, reassuring her that yes, everything is okay. No, it's not your fault. It hurt Alani's heart to see the young viscet so distressed about a simple mistake, and eventually she offered a walk out of the town and into the forest. They arrived at a small clearing, dotted with little white and yellow flowers. Alani was holding her light staff, radiating a relaxing aura towards Fizz.
She sat down, patting the grass next to her and then looking forward to the thick oak trees winding and tangling together in front of them. Leaves nearly blocked out the sky above, yet still let some sunlight pour through strongly onto them. Fizz nervously took the seat, fidgeting next to Alani. "Fizz," she began, pausing to think before she spoke. "It really is alright. Mistakes happen, and they happen for a reason. You're meant to learn from them." She looked over at Fizz, analyzing her body language with her golden eyes.
"I'd really only be upset with you if you did it intentionally. Did you?" Fizz frantically met her gaze and shook her head. "No, gosh, no!" Her voice raised a little in her upset, but she quickly corrected it. "I-I mean, no. I wouldn't do that." "Alright," Alani responded, "then all is forgiven. As for more important matters... I think you should start taking up on taking care of all the plant life through the village. My father's garden isn't the only one, and I think that will give you more things to do." Fizz's eyes glimmered in excitement, "there's more gardens?" Alani nodded, "I can show you them when we return. There's plenty for you to water and nourish."
"I'd love that!" Fizz grinned, leaping up. "Can we go back now? Er- if you want to?" Alani chuckled. "Of course."
