[size=85]I also know another method if anyone is interested !! you don't even have to go off oekaki to get the hex codes - if you edit the drawing, use the eyedropper tool and select a color you want the hex code for. click on the large box in the colors box and a popup should come up, revealing the hex code (as you can see in the image I linked).
the downside to this method is that you cannot copy or paste the hex code, so you'll have to type it out manually when recording all the hex codes of a kalon.
I guess an upside to using oekaki is: if you leave the "auto" part in the oekaki image link, the image is is slightly more grainy, resulting in the color palette being inaccurate. this would complicate finding the hex codes if you were using a color picker site. you could change "auto" to "png" in the oekaki image link to fix the graininess, but it'd be a bit faster to just use oekaki itself to find the hex codes, rather than a different site. when you edit an oekaki drawing, it automatically goes into png form, so the color palette is not grainy and is easy to color-pick.
idk if this method will help anybody but ?? I thought I'd offer another alternative if anyone wanted it |D
would just like to add in that you actually can copy and paste the hexcodes from oekaki! all you have to do is press control + C to copy and control + V to paste! (:

A 5 HM custom allows you to have one standard edit; it must be made by a staff member, as HM customs are technically semicustoms. A kalon can have any type of clothing as that'd be considered an accessory that can be removed. ovo

aaa, I've tried copying it before that way ,, I'm not sure if it's just my computer/browser but it doesn't let me ctrl + c/v the hex code. hopefully it works for other people, though! C:

Furthering a question off of this, but why do we even have to pay artists for HM customs if it's supposed to be a "reward" for getting HMs.

No, you cannot add Legendary traits on to Kalons and there are no items available to do so. Legendaries are a rare aspect of the species and are meant to be harder to obtain. c:
trans wrote:aaaa question; if a kal has their eyes closed on their ref, can you make it so their eyes are open on the kal's ref without an item or would you need an edit item to do so? :'0 the kal im talking about specifically is this one!
Yes, so long as you keep to the proper eye/sclera colors as shown on their face reference. Changing the eye is such a way is merely an expression edit which is allowed!
OswinTheFox wrote:Question!
Is it possible to use more than one auto pass item in a single breeding??
Yes it is. You can use it on two different edits which would be 100% chance for the first kit to receive both edits and 50% chance for the others. If you use two auto pass items on the same edit it would be 100% chance for the first two kits and 50% chance for the others. ^^
septemberr wrote:does anyone know if it's allowed to do an alternate hairstyle for your kal (obviously it would be the same rarity)
Alternate hairstyles are allowed in the case of putting a long Kalon's hair up in a braid or the like. The hair must remain the same length, volume, texture, and color. It cannot be done on the original reference and you must create a separate one with the alternate hairstyle. All alternate hairstyles must be approved by a staff member in order to make sure it remains within the rules. Additionally, you must only use the original hair style in reference to breeding tickets.
♡Chocolate♡ wrote:if someone has skipped the cooldown once is it enough to contact a mod?
If you believe a user has broken a specie rule we appreciate you contacting a staff member about it. Remember though, sometimes it is unintentional and we ask that you let only staff handle the situation as we look in to it.
JackAttacks wrote:Out of curiosity, why is it three weeks to breed bu t a month to trade??
Breeding and trading are very different aspects of Kalons. One gives you the ability to receive kits and the only is a mutual agreement between users to participate in a switch. There's no reason why these two should be considered equal in the terms of cool down. The three weeks for the nursery is to allow time for the last received kits to grow and develop before a new batch, as it takes three weeks for kits to reach adulthood as well. c:

Any changes to teeth would be a Standard Tooth edit.
viixen wrote:on the front page, about switching artists
does it mean you have to ask if you can switch and then wait for them to say you can, or do you just tell the artist "hey i'm going to switch artists" and wait a day or two? cause i never know and i don't wanna do the wrong thing ;o;
I am assuming you mean for the nursery? What you do is message the artist in question letting them know you're interested in switching in the proper time has passed. Once sent, you must wait 24 hours before looking for a new artist to take over the batch, and provide proof of your message to the original artist or their approval of your switch.

HM customs are not full customs, they're semi-customs which means while the palette/concept/theme/etc.
may be determined by the user it is the official artist who decides on design. You're allowed to ask for slight alterations as well before it's fully finished. <3

You're not required to pay artists for this service. It is part of their duties as a staff member to help users receive their HM customs, but that does not mean everyone will be open as our artists have very busy lives both within and outside of the species.

If you have enough HMs to get a semi-custom, is there a specific place to ask or do you PM artists to see if they're open? This is also for MYOs if you are unable to make it on Oekaki- I know that official artists don't have to make approved MYO designs along with the fact that there is a thread for off-line transfers, but I also take it that bumping that thread to try to find someone willing to transfer it would count as unwanted spam?
Thanks so much in advance!
