Name: Catherine Streene

Age 34

Personality: Most of Catherine's personality has been overtaken by a creeping insanity, changing her greatly from the person she once was. However, he mind has yet to be entirely overthrown by the strange thoughts that lurk in her mind. More often than not, she'll act distrustful around others, often throwing out accusations that make little sense to the situation they are in. Not only does she not trust others, she's not all that loyal herself. It is easy to bribe Catherine with most goods, whether it's money or even alcohol, it doesn't take much to buy her off.
The one thing, however, that Catherine's mind can never sway on is the subject of a secret group she's after. She knows nothing else about them, other than she wants to stop them. How will she do it? She has no clue. Where will she find them? Yet again, a guess would be better than what she knows. What even is this group? Guess the answer. If she believes someone else is on the search for them, she will be sure to follow, no matter who that person is.
As for her personality, Catherine is quick to run right into a situation without even knowing what will happen. Similar to this, she often acts jumpy, and will be quick to hurt someone if they seem like a threat. The fact that she can't trust others too well can cause injury to those who get too close.

Description:Catherine stands at about 5'7" with tanned skin and medium-length brown hair that's usually knotted up, and tied up behind her head. Her normal attire includes a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and a jacket made of multiple different materials.

Other: Despite her distrustful, and overall seemingly dangerous personality, Catherine may occasionally have bouts of sincerity and kindness, where she will act like a maternal figure. These only last for minutes at a time, however, and due to cognitive damage she retains no memory of these events.

(Primary character in restarted version)
Iskari Kazaka
Gender: Female
Age: 21
Alias: The Arachnid
Occupation: Freelance Assassin
Residence: Nomadic
MBTI/Alignment/Enneagram: ISTP-A, Neutral Good, Investigator (type 5)
Appearance: Iskari stands at approximately 5'4, not particularly tall nor short for her age. She has rather pale skin, and short hair, that fades from auburn-red on the left, to grey on the right. Her eyes are a rather cold shade of blue-grey. Most of Iskari's facial features are rather small, yet sharp on her face, which could be classified as a slightly wide inverted triangle. In terms of clothing, Iskari wears a half-red, half-grey robe, mirroring her hair, over simple grey, dobok-style combat attire. Beneath her robe, Iskari conceals two dark katana, despite the weapon's rather outdated nature.
History: Iskari was raised by a rather poor family in the outskirts of a small city. At the age of three, she and her seven-year-old brother were orphaned after their parents lost their lives to a plague outbreak that they were too poor to defend themselves from. After fleeing the city for several weeks in an attempt to avoid the plague, Iskari was abandoned by her brother, supposedly unable to care for her, in an abandoned spire-colony of Cyth. On the brink of death, she was found by a clandestine group of assassins, and taken in. For years, Iskari trained as an assassin, accumulating skills in many areas - most notably a few rather archaic skills, such as martial arts and swordsmanship.
Over the years, Iskari has committed many crimes, namely assassinations, leading a rather dangerous life. She has assassinated several significant political figures in her career, however her identity is widely unknown. Rather, those who are aware of her existence because of the crimes she has committed know her simply as 'The Arachnid', denoting her elaborate traps, which few have escaped, her swift, silent, yet deadly skills in combat, and the fear that stories of her crimes inspire in the minds of the general public.
At the age of sixteen, Iskari abandoned the group of assassins that she had been a part of for so long, and begun to work as a freelance assassin, taking on whatever jobs happened to come her way.
Personality: Iskari is a loner, of sorts. She rarely agrees to work with others, and is stubbornly independent, to the point of refusing to ask for help even when she desperately needs it. Iskari is very distant from others, acting in a rather cold, detached, and curt manner when around strangers or casual acquaintances. Iskari has rather major trust issues, which contributes greatly to her reluctance to work as part of a team. She is quite paranoid when forced to rely on others, constantly worried that they will betray her.
After one does manage to earn Iskari's trust, she appears to be a much different person. Although she often seems very cold and logical, she can be much kinder, relaxed, and reflectively insightful once she truly trusts a person. When it comes to her skills in combat, swift, critical thinking, and immense, instinctual intellect, Iskari is very reliable and is quite commonly admired by those around her. She can, however, be very unreliable, especially when it comes to more social situations that are less urgent.
Iskari's greatest fear is true commitment. When it comes to a contract in work, Iskari has no problems with fulfilling her promised duties, however commitment in terms of loyalty and social stability is rare for Iskari. She shies away from it at all costs, leaving loose ends amongst many after having simply disappeared. Iskari is recognized as a nomad for this; she quietly slips into groups, however never stays for long and never forms many bonds, even distant ones, silent slipping away before anyone has a chance to protest.
Iskari firmly believes that respect must be earned. She is never outright rude to someone for no reason, however she never goes out of her way to give more respect than is common courtesy to anyone who has not earned that respect. This personal belief does not change for her elders or other groups who may consider themselves superior to her; true respect must always be earned, no matter one's social standing.
With a rather dangerous lifestyle, Iskari has had little choice but to be constantly alert and concentrating her whole life. She is a very calm and level-headed person, generally, rarely finding herself too flustered or anxious to manage. She avoids wasting time at all costs, swiftly completing whatever work needs to be done with little time spent procrastinating. This rule differs, however, when it comes to Iskari's internal problems. External work is always completed immediately, however internal problems are often pushed away and left unresolved for long periods of time.
Because of this reluctance to deal with her own, personal issues, Iskari tends to suppress negative emotions, which leads to major buildups of stress, grief, and doubt. She experiences frequent periods of mental instability due to this, though depending on the severity, she is usually able to ignore it in urgent situations which require clear judgement. When in very concerning mental states, Iskari often attempts to wait her situation out, refusing to talk to anyone or ask for even the slightest bit of help, no matter how hard it may be.
In terms of her worldviews and approach to life, Iskari has a very strong, notable moral code. Although she is an assassin, she would never kill simply for her own personal gain, and refrains from killing anyone, if not under orders to, if she does not truly believe that their death would benefit society as a whole. When it comes to contracts, Iskari will accept almost any task, without questioning why her client may want the subject killed, however she will make exceptions and refuse jobs if they go strongly against her moral code.
Iskari is not an overwhelmingly optimistic person, however she wouldn't necessarily be classified as pessimistic either. Iskari considers herself to be more of a realist, taking situations as they are and considering all their aspects. Iskari finds that she has little time for hopes, dreams, and fantasies; she focuses on the present, and what she can confirm to exist, rather than imagining what could be or might have been.
Due to her issues with trust and reliance, as well as her need for her priorities to be palpable, Iskari considers herself incapable of faith or spirituality. She holds great respect for those who are religious, and thinks of religion as a beautiful thing, however she finds herself incapable of believing in, worshiping, and dedicating herself to something that she has no manifest proof of.
Iskari's main motivation in life is simply that she sees no other choice but to live. To her, giving in to death without much of a struggle would be easily considered giving up, something which Iskari would be rather ashamed to do. Her more tangible motives are a desire for knowledge, and answers. Iskari longs to find her brother, Fornix Kazaka, however has never been too intent on revenge. Although she despises her brother for abandoning her to die, she has always been more interested in simply knowing why than actually exacting some form of revenge.

    ɢᴇɴᴇʀᴀʟ
    Full Name: Newton Azubah Kilwraith
    Known As: Newt
    Gender: Male
    Age: 17

    ᴀᴘᴘᴇᴀʀᴀɴᴄᴇ
Physical: Newt, standing at just under 5'7, has a rather lithe, ectomorphic build. He has a rather round face, with thin lips and a small yet defined nose. His hair is short, dusty blonde, reaching to around his ears, and is usually windswept and disheveled. Newt's eyes are a rich shade of teal.
Style: Newt usually wears rather plain clothes - whatever's available and practical. His clothes are generally torn and patched, due to the limited budget he lives on. The hues of his attire range from various shades of black, grey, or brown, to darker shades of colours. He can most commonly be seen wearing a rather worn beige t-shirt, dark grey cargo pants or shorts, and a black utility-style jacket or vest.

    ʙɪᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜɪᴄᴀʟ
Personality: Newt is generally a rather easygoing, laid-back person. He is quite level headed, and rarely loses his calm disposition, very hard to anger or frustrate. He doesn't care much when insulted, however he cares deeply for those he is close to, and would stop at nothing to protect him. Newt has a strong sense of loyalty and duty, and will never go back on his word. He can be quite logical and reserved at times, though he is usually a very considerate person. Newt is a firm realist, never twisting a situation to pretend it's better or worse than it actually is.
History: Newt was raised by a mother alone, never having known a father or paternal figure. His mother was always quite reserved and distant, though she certainly cared for him greatly. Living honest lives in a colony of criminals and outlaws, Newt and his mother were always rather poor. His mother, paralyzed by a childhood accident on the spires, was unable to work, thus leaving Newt to provide as much as he could for the two of them. Newt worked as a scavenger for most of his life, finding semi-valuable equipment and mechanical parts in the wreckage of old spires and trading them, usually on the black market due to it being the only trading venue available.

    ᴏᴛʜᴇʀ
    Occupation: Scavenger
Physical Skills/Traits: Agile, nimble, deft, quick
Trivial Information: Middle name and surname meanings translate vaguely to 'forsaken son of ghosts'.

Newton Kilwraith’s deft, nimble fingers worked skillfully around the wires and cords, loosening the cylindrical metal part until it dropped free from the engine of the rusting vehicle. Dropping the mechanism into a satchel secured over his shoulder, he began to swiftly descend the wall of rubble down to the ground below. The boy was like a spider, scaling his way across the nearly vertical surfaces without fault until he reached a suitable point to detach himself from the wall and drop to the ground below.
From where he landed, crouched on the ground, Newt stood, observing the maze of a junkyard around him. It was abandoned - had been for at least a decade or two by now, from the looks of it. It was usually quite a popular destination for scavengers like Newt, though today the boy was alone.
With only a moment longer of hesitation, Newt headed off through the scrapyard, towards the only slightly more organized settlement. The city was a strange thing - supported by the thick spires that bound it to the planet below, it was riddled with broken platforms and holes in the 'ground', threatening to allow a distracted citizen to slip through, and plummet to the planet, miles below. Newt, of course, was used to this constant danger, and was always alert, though it was hart to navigate nevertheless. Every day, new holes seemed to open up from overuse of the old road, posing new, hidden threats.
Making his way back through the city streets, Newt stuck to the shadows at the edges of streets, and did his best to avoid busy roads. It would do him no good to get caught up in some gang's business, especially with his particularly plentiful findings from that day's scavenging.
It didn't take the boy long to reach his house, a small, two room, dome-shaped structure, its walls a patchwork of metal plating. Ducking inside, past the curtain that served as a door, Newt allowed his eyes a moment to adjust to the dim lighting. It was in that moment that he noticed the silence.
Of course, the noise in the street outside was still present, but a heavy, deafening silence hung in the air of the small house, one that seemed rather foreign to Newt. Although his mother was a rather quiet person, there was always noise - be it the creaking of the metal flooring as she shifted, or the rustling of wires as she worked, Newt's mother was always doing something, something that made him aware of her presence. This silence was... Wrong.
"Hello?" Newt called hesitantly, greeted with the silence he had been expecting from the moment he opened his mouth.
This house was most certainly empty.

Catherine was doing as she normally did each day, aimlessly wandering the city,, looking to get a quick drink, or maybe even some quick cash. She job market had been slow lately, so the little funds she did have were beginning to dry up. Not that it mattered much either way, she could always find someone gullible enough for her to mooch off of. All she'd need to do is find the right person, and a little more crazy than usual in front of them and she could get most anything. Or, of course she could mug someone if entirely necessary. It was usually a quick and easy method to get stuff, but only if you found the right person. The wrong person, and you might end up being the one mugged. The best part is, if the person you steal from threatens to contact the nearly nonexistent police force, you could just push them off the spire and everyone would think they fell! It was easy and simple.

Catherine continuing to walk aimlessly around when she spotted a boy that she could get some things off of, it did look like he got back from some trip after all. She decided to follow him for a while, see if he'd be worth it. When they arrived at a dome-shaped house, she questioned following him inside; especially if it were empty, it'd be the perfect place to attack. However, she wasn't sure about this one, they looked like they might be strong, and with the path he walked, he definitely was a smart boy. She drew closer to the house to see who else may have been inside, but she was quick to notice that the boy seemed anxious about something. Had someone beat her to him, and already set a trap to attack? If that were the case, she wanted no part in this situation whatsoever. Only minutes later, Catherine became confused what she was doing in this area, having little clue how she ended up over here. She checked her satchel to see if there was anything new, but she only saw the little coinage she had on her. It was getting late, and she decided that this was a mystery for another day. Right now, it was time to spend what little money she had at the bar. With a cold drink in mind, she slowly made her way back into the town.

Newt took several minutes to investigate the house. He did his best to remain calm, and did so quite impressively, considering the circumstances, though some anxiety did slip through into his outer demeanour. Newt found what he was searching for rather quickly, although, admittedly, he wasn't entirely sure what he was searching for. Once he found it, he knew.
The small slip of paper Newt held was the only item within his house that he had never seen. It was an advertisement, or a business card, Newt suspected, from what he could read of the torn, stained paper. A shipping company. Seemed innocent enough. And yet...
    Too innocent.
Immediately, Newt's deductive reasoning kicked into action. A shipping company would be the perfect guise for a kidnapping. They'd certainly have good reason to travel with large trucks or ships, and they could get away with going almost anywhere. Now that he thought about it, there was hardly any reason for this paper to be here. His mother couldn't have left the house - not in her condition -
so it couldn't have somehow entered from her.
Newt knew he was being vaguely paranoid, but on a planet of criminals and outlaws, it was hard to survive if you weren't. With that thought in mind, Newt gathered all that he might need from the house (which, admittedly, wasn't much), and set out into the streets.

Catherine was now walking back into the town, not the least bit worried about the fact that she lost a large chunk of her memory. It happened quite often. Admittedly, more often than would be good, but often enough where she's used to it. And anyways, if it was something important, she's sure it'd come back to her. Although, she never really kept track of if it normally came back or not, so she had no clue which was more common.

As Catherine continued to walk, she noticed someone behind her heading in the same direction. At first, she thought little of it, but kept an eye on him just in case. In this town, you could never be too careful who would want to hurt you, and who you would just want to leave alone. There was something strange about this boy though, Catherine noticed. He seemed on edge to her, which only made her even more suspicious. Especially if they were new to the work, a boy like him would surely act strange if they were about to attack someone. The boy made no movements yet, but Catherine felt sure he was following her. However, she was no idiot. She decided to wait a while longer, until he got closer to pull the knife on him before he got the chance to on her.

That's strange, Newt contemplated distantly as he strode through the city streets, noticing that he happened to be taking the same route as a woman a few metres ahead of him. He supposed it was just a coincidence, and set it to the back of his mind, hastening his pace in hopes of passing this woman, to avoid any unnecessary conflict. As he approached, his quicker stride caused some scavenged metal parts scraped together within his satchel, and although Newt payed it no mind, rather accustomed to the sound, it could have been mistaken as the drawing of a knife. In mere seconds, Newt was only several steps behind the woman, as they passed a darkened alley.

Catherine continued to watch the boy, and soon saw that he was walking faster. He was getting closer to her, and she noticed a dark alley not far from them. The boy was now too close for her to watch him without seeming suspicious, but she could hear his footsteps growing closer. She quietly reached for the knife in her pocket, readying herself in case he attacked. When the boy was only a few steps behind her, she mistakenly took the odd sounds as him drawing a knife. Acting quick, she pushed the boy into the alley, and held a knife against his throat, "Who are you, and why are you following me?" She shouted right into his face. She kept her muscles tense in case the boy retaliated, or wouldn't give up without a fight.

Newt instinctively pressed himself back against the wall of the alley, eyes growing wide in shock as he directed his gaze down towards the knife at his throat.
"Woah, woah, what the hell?! What are you talking about?" Newt's voice was layered with shock, caution, and most of all, confusion. In a slow, careful movement, he raised both hands up to the same level as his head, palms open in a gesture of surrender.
