Tracker Dog you want:
#28
Name you'll give it:
Eden
Theme Song:
How Far We've Come by Matchbox Twenty
Owner:
Matt Leticomb - Chief of Police
Weakness:
Strawberries [favorite food]
Reason why you want it:
I can't really express why I want this Tracker. It's strange, I'm typically not a fan of "creepy" or "freaky" things, but she is different, more science-based as opposed to random scary powers that honestly make no sense. And I love Science, just to add to it. Also, I really love the plates on her face, down her back, and on her hind legs. Her colors are also nice. They may not be blue, but I still love how the greens and browns and other shades compliment each other well.
Will it be used in any kind of story?
Yes it will! I love writing a lot, especially fantasy stories.Trackers would be very fun to write about as well, I'm sure. As I've said in other forms, it would most likely be a series of short stories where people don't have to follow along and read all of them, aside from the occasionally "to be continued," to keep readers on their toes, haha. Eventually I might create a real plot for this Tracker, but it would probably be when I have two or three trackers so she isn't alone in the story.
Describe its personality:
-Fearless-
She is truly fearless. She will accept any job without considering the consequences of her actions. Many would consider her fearlessness more reckless than anything, which is actually true. But she prefers "fearless" over "reckless" because "reckless" is to negative.
-Stubborn-
Eden likes things her way. If people, or other Trackers, disagree with her, she will do anything to show her way is the right way. Always. Most know by now that it is wise to just go with what she wants.
-Sympathetic-
While her job requires more catching armed criminals, she is occasionally thrown into jobs involving kidnapping where she must find the stolen person. Eden is more devoted to these jobs because she can't help but feel the tremendous sadness of the family and friends, even though she has never experienced a tragedy like it.
-Merciless-
While she is sympathetic, dangerous criminals might want to watch their back if she is assigned to find them. She is often told to only use small doses of her toxin and not kill her victims. Of course, accidents happen and she might accidentally shoot to much. And she could honestly care less if she does this.
-Determined-
This kind of goes along with her extreme stubbornness. Eden will do anything to accomplish something, making her skillful at what she does. There have yet to be any criminals that have escaped her grasp so far.
Write an introduction for your Tracker:
The man was cloaked in black clothing, barely noticeable in the pitch-black darkness of the moonless night. He was sprinting extremely fast, holding a small brown bag in his hand. Matt leaped out of his police car, yelling furiously at the running man. Jumping out behind him was a creature called a Tracker. She had hard plates all around her body, as well as strange tubes attached to her skin. She stood anxiously next to the Chief of Police, waiting for his orders for her to move.
"Get him, Eden."
Eden let out a howl and starting running at towards the black-clothed man. She listened carefully to every step he took, every slight trip, or turn. She continued to sightlessly follow him with perfect precision in each step.
Finally, she knew she was only a few feet behind him. He was gasping with fear, but still seemed to have energy to continue running for a while. When Eden thought she was close enough to the culprit, she shot out toxin to paralyze the man. She listened for a sound of pain, but only heard the continued noises of the man, telling her she missed. Angry, Eden continued to run faster and faster, knowing she couldn't afford to miss again.
His steps changed and he seemed to turn around, just a few feet in front of her.
BAM!
A large shot rang out and Eden felt a sharp pain in her chest, causing her to topple to the ground. She let out a share yowl of pain and anguish and she fell.
"EDEN?!" Matt's voice was heard in the far distance, worried after hearing the shot. Eden ignored this and slowly stood on her four feet. The foot steps where slowly fading from her hearing, but he left a clear scent for her to track. Ignoring the pain completely, she started jogging in the direction of the scent, picking up pace as she went. She heard multiple police sirens following her, and she continued faster, hoping they wouldn't try to help her.
The scent was very close now, but still no footsteps anywhere. The trail had stopped, and the she could barely make out the smell through a reek of garbage. Eden pictured an alleyway, which she assumed they were in.
BAM!
Another gun shot, but this time the man was not so lucky. The bullet hit Eden's hard plate on her forehead, and not only did this protect her, but show her where the bullet came from. She turned her head to two dumpsters and took a smell of the air. His scent was in between the dumpsters. His breath was quivering and he tried to hold it multiple times.
Eden smiled and toxin shot from her hollow bones. The man gasped in pain and fell silent. As much as Eden had wanted to kill him for what he did to her, she decided to do what she was told. She walked forward and took the brown bag from his still hand.
"Good work, girl." Matt said as he walked into the alley. Eden shook her tail, proud of her work. "Bet you want some strawberries right about now?" Eden hated showing weakness, but hearing the word "strawberries" made her bark with excitement, and also made her realize her hunger after the day's work. "Glad you're excited. While you eat I have to check you're wound, okay?" Matt continued. Eden growled, not even remembering the pain. But instead of being her usual defiant self, she jumped into the police car.
Leaving the dirty work to the other police, owner and Tracker left in the cruiser, heading home.
