Sorry, could you clarify what you mean?
Artists are allowed to use their entries as actual adopts if they decide to.
What I mean is, if artist entries cannot be used as customs, can an artist
copy the design of an entry and give it to the person buying the custom?

Artist entries can be used as customs. If your in ownership of a staff or MYO custom slot then you can use an artist entry of the correct rarity for your custom. If its an HM custom though your not allowed to use artist entries!
Edit:: also the copying of a design for an HM custom wouldnt be allowed

There is no set lifespan for Kalons. Generally most people tend to set them around human age to 120 max. But so long as you keep it in character and not part of their edit list, I dont see why your Kalon cant be extremely old!

I asked this before but I don't think I got an answer
as for a Kalon being your fursona, it says you have to ask the artist. Does that mean the owner of Kalons in general or the person who made the design? And if you were the one who designed it do you have to ask anyone?

Does that mean Mintiature or the artist of the kal?
You ask the artist who did the design of the Kalon. If that Kalon is a kit, you must also ask the owner(s) of the parents as well.
