What are Hyens? wrote:Found all across the world, Hyens are palm-sized pets that resemble all kinds of drinks both with their 'shells' and their smell! They're docile creatures who appear to be similar to dogs, but a little slimier. They love company and often try to interact with anything they find in their way.

xxxxHyens have strong scents that depend upon their liquids. they don't need to smell things, so they've grown out of their second tentacle set, but it looks like a mustache if they manage to get them. they generally don't have carbonated drinks because it disrupts the protective gel, that's also why they're rare to have anything other than liquids too. it's very rare for them to not have liquids since it provides them with energy and hydration, but it's possible.
xxxxHyens are more closely related to slugs than snails, as their vital organs are contained within their fleshy body. Their diet resembles that of a slug as well, mostly consisting of organic materials, such as leaves, lichens and mushrooms. They're also capable of consuming carrion, other slugs and snails, as well as earthworms and other soft, mushy creatures. Despite their general need for a balanced diet, they've got a strong affinity for sweets, especially plain, white sugar.
xxxxHyens have no need for a sense of smell since they're mostly kept as pets, so their second set of tentacles has become an uncommon decoration for them. What may be another reason for their loss of the sense of smell is that they can excrete a strong scent depending on the liquid that they carry in their 'shells'. It appears to serve no purpose but functions similarly to flower scents. They also have a possibility of growing different 'shells' but not many have been discovered as of yet - the most common are mugs. Hyens are rarely documented with see-through 'shells'.
xxxxGenerally, Hyens can be found all across the globe. They're mostly a land-based species but are capable of sustaining themselves underwater for up to a week. Aquatic Hyens have yet to be found. Their ideal environment is warm temperatures and humid air. Unlike most slugs, they are capable of surviving short periods of time in dry areas due to their liquids, but they will need some way to replenish these reserves if they have to live in a dry area for longer periods of time. They are capable of replenishing their liquids simply by absorbing water. Shallow pools of water are ideal for this.mugs, 1-2 flesh colours.3-4 flesh colours, other kinds of cups, second set of tentacles.5-6 flesh colours, carbonated drinks, glass containers, objects in liquids.containers that don't have liquids.
