As in, instead of going through the whole archive, like the oekaki pages? Cause I saw there were still some horses missing, but now I know that if you weren't done them, that explains it. Haha...

Thank you! That will make it loads easier. I have a few ideas for improving things later, and, once things are running smoothly for a while, we could work out some sort of luck that might affect show outcomes a bit? Cause shows are partly luck. I know from experience. I spent weeks preparing for a simple walk trot dressage test with Toppy. It was perfect. But show day, absolute disaster. He was TERRIFIED of the judges. He bolted twice, the second time jumping the dressage fence despite me doing all I can to stop him. He was perfect warming up, but it was just a disaster. But yestarday, I was lucky. Danyna is usually a bit spooky in the big indoor, bit she was really well behaved. Judges didn't scare her at all. So maybe some kind of luck could be added, in a month or two?

Hmm... But if you think about it, then there wouldn't be any need for points. But maybe we could add something like A 10-30 point range. So lets say, when a horse has 100 points. And comes 'first' because of that, and the next horse down is 90 points. They can have a "random" test. So here the current way. My bingara is versing My charles in Show Jumping. Charles has more beauty and dressage, but bingara is more power and speed. In a competition, the points should be counted as that shows skill range, and NOT the entire skills. So, Bingara would win, because she has higher points in show jumping. To make it more, "luck" we could so as so: My Charles versing Diamonte; Charles has much higher points, and comes First. Diamonte much less, and comes second. Because charles has over 30 points higher, diamonte cannot participate in a 'random luck' thingy XD. But if between First and Second is less than 30 points, they can compete in a 'random luck'. Sound good to everyone? (this may or may not happen. But don't do it just yet toppy :) )

Don't worry, I'm not doing anything for about a month. Something like that, yes. Another idea I had is that for every contest I role two dice, and if they add upp to a certain pre-determined number or are the same number, then something will happen. Then through rolling dice or something of the sort I figure out which horse or horses have something happen to them, and what it is. (Example: Ripple would be placed fourth, an Charles third, but because Charles spooked at a camera flash and Ripple finally got the flying lead changes he's been working on, Ripple will get third and Charles will get fourth. Or something like Diamond threw a shoe because her placing number was rolled on the die, and now 'she can't compete this week.) I haven't figured it all out yet, and how to make it fair and easy, but I'm sure there will be a way to use luck in a way that it adds some surprise but doesn't change the whole system, and is still easy and quick.

Hmm, i'd perfer not. Because then having a high amount of points sort of doesn't get put in the competitions.

It would. I would rank them all from their points, then for each comp I would roll 2 dice. If both dice were something like 6, then something will happen. And then we could put in place your 30 point thing, or make it even less likely and have it 15 point difference. Usually, because having two 6's is really unlikely, nothing would happen, and if it did, it woul only be to horses that are close in skill. If you had a horse with 20 more points then everyone else, they would be 'safe'.

I don't like the idea. I know things like that happen in real life, but this isn't real life it's a sim. If it was things like pulling a shoe or your horse getting injured that would be different. But I don't like the idea of "luck" playing role in the competitions. The point of horses having skills is for the comps and if luck plays a role the way you sound it would then there would be no use in points. I do see were you are coming from that it would only come in if there was only a few ponit difference, but still.

Thanks for the input, cheesie. I'd still like to tweak it, this is just the starting portion of adding something new. What if there was also something like the more skills you have, the less likey anything will happen? As in, an untrained (green) horse would have more mess-ups and oops, but high-level lots of training horses (like Grand Prix Olympic level in RL) would end up being way more consistent and relilable. I don't quite know how to work it into the system yet, but this doesn't need to happen right away, and there's tons of time for tweaking and adjusting.
