I was unsure of how to develop some of my kalons for some time, and I couldn't find the time to write things down.. but this event kinda forced my motivation to wake up haha
I hope to see fun events like this again, although I understand it can be a lot of work for the staff!!

Congrats to the raffle winners! Honestly, I think this event was a really great way to get everyone who wanted to try their hand at a Kalon, and it was great for those who had one as well. I hope to see more events like this in the future!

I just wanted to give a huge thank you to all the staff who lent a hand in this event! It was by far one of my favorite events I've participated in yet! I only wish I'd seen the event from the start! Major shoutout to Karmel & Labradude for their impeccable upkeep with the insane interest this event garnered!

In the poll, I voted for events like this, but I did also love the kalontine's Love Notes. An event that somehow meshed these ideas would certainly be something I'd be interested in!

this is sorta late, but I'd just like to mention how much I love this event and look forward to more like this in the future! I was really able to develop my kalons more and shape their characters! thank you to everyone who made this event amazing! it's my favorite so far! <3

aand huge congrats to all the winners/future winners of raffles, prompts, etc. ! <3

I love the concept of the event, but maybe instead of judging the random forth day and making us scramble to get it done really well, possibly judge the prompts instead? Then we have all week to work on them and it's not all for naught ^^'

If another development comp happens again, could maybe it be limited to Kalons that have been owned for like... idk two months and under? Because other wise it's a competition between mated family kalons with extremely well developed personalities and back stories, friendships, and characteristics to show off, verses characters who are at the bare bones and struggling to figure themselves out, it's obvious who would win a writing comp if said developed character already has a lot that's super easy to just write about because it doesn't take a lot of thought when it's already been thought of for them for much longer than the short time of many other under developed characters.

I know this sounds harsh and possibly unfair to those who want to enter, but as an aspiring novelist, it makes me wonder "what would be the point of calling it a development competition, when many of the characters entered are already developed?"

i don't really agree to this.

some people own kalons for over two months and have yet to even get started on developing them so this wouldn't be fair and even still, if someone has a kalon and has had that kalon for a while and hasn't got another kalon in two months, it wouldn't be fair to kick them out of the whole event just because they don't have any new ones.

the only way i could see making it fair is by having people contribute kalons to the event for owners to try out for that don't have any new kals, just like the ones that were open to non-owners.
