Tracker Dog Application Series 8
Username: To Kill The Necarae
Tracker Dog you want: #24
Name you'll give it: Dialis
Reason why you want it: I love the coloring, and the idea of a "spare flashlight". He's also the perfect male counterpart to Next. Both are sharp-witted, and both enjoy "higher" priority missions. And, seeing as I always lose my batteries... The markings also remind me slightly of a snowleopard, one of my favorite Big Cats.

Will it be used in any kind of story?: Of course. I love my stories. =]
Describe its personality:
Brutal: Hell has no fury like a Tracker with a threatened Master.
Loyal: He was bred for this, to be the faithful companion to Master.
Human: Although Dialis is 'invented' and thus not given to be capable of higher thought, he feels emotions. Sorrow and hate are the strongest.
Brilliant: There is no situation in which Dialis cannot think himself out of, nor any problem which he does not find himself capable of solving.

Write an introduction for your Tracker:

He will not see me stopping here...

My feet thumped against the snow, mirrored by my hard breathing. The only sounds to break the silence of the night, snowflakes falling all 'round.

To watch his wood fill up with snow...

I was furious that they would do this to me. They knew I hated being used. I wasn't meant for this type of mission. She was a runaway, the lowest kind of criminal. What did they need me for? The girl wasn't armed, she hadn't robbed anything, there was nothing on her criminal record.

She was just a runaway.

The trail was beginnging to fade, the snow coupled with the wind was sweeping it out from my sight. I snorted, determined to give them a show, even if I hated them for it.

Between the woods and frozen lake...

Why would she do it? I paced in a small circle, trying to hold on to the whisps of scent that remained as the wind picked up.

What went wrong?

I stumbled, a near-frozen cloak in my path. Tasting the air around it, the runaway again flashed into my mind. It was hers, for sure. How far had she gotten from here without protection form the wind and cold?

The darkest evening of the year...

I followed the weaker trail from the jacket, heading to the left. I saw no use in bringing the jacket, it was frozen into an unmanagable shape and would be no help if I found the girl.

The temperature was dropping faster now, the wind was raging and snow flurries beat against my sides as I struggled to keep the trail. The girl woud be lucky if she still had all her limbs, let alone fingers, when she got out of this. The trail veered off here, into an area that I'd never been in before.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep...

As soon as I set foot on the snow, I knew I was in trouble. There was ice under powder snow. Which meant, under the ice was water. So I was standing on a lake. With no way to tell how thick the ice was.

I backed up untill I could feel the banks of the lake, safe and solid, under my feet again. I sniffed into the wind, trying to determine if the trail really went over the lake.

It did.

But I have promises to keep...

It was my bane, the desire to win, to always come out on top.

With a running start, I skittered onto the ice, sliding across the slick surface, trying to hold some direction against the beating winds. As I slid into a snowbank, the scent trail suddenly lit up. A blue-green shape was forming.

She was here!

Frozen, stiff and cold like her shed cloak, the girl was curled in the snowbank on the edge of the lake. Her backpack was covering her internal organs, but I knew it was too late.

I begain to glow, letting my Master know I'd found his daughter.

And miles to go before I sleep...
And miles to go before I sleep...

Tracker Dog you want: #26
Name you'll give it: Slake

Reason why you want it: There are actually a few reasons why I want it. One, it may seem quiet greedy: It will look great in my signature, or let alone my adoptables page, where I keep my adpted stuff.. Two, these are super, super cool. They are very, very cool looking. Three, I think they are, besides cool, cute. I think they are truly adoreable. But, of course, I have no real reason. It doesn't remind me of a pet, but, I just really, really like them. =3

Will it be used in any kind of story?: Erm, possibly, but all references to you, Nex.
Describe its personality: He'll be sweet and kind, of course once you get to knowing him. He would probably be an attention hog, and especially sweet toward the ones who give him the praise and attention. ((Sorry. I've never had much luck with describing personalities))

Write an introduction for your Tracker:
((I might do this wrong))
Laughing, I skidded to a halt in the water. I stared through the water, murky as it was, with perfect vision. They said that he would be in the water. At least over the water. I slid easily throuh the water, hoping to attain my pace throughout the chase. All I needed was that stupd necklace. It was the perfect job, I guess. You could say that I am supposed to do higher ranking jobs, but, it was a slight challenge, and I'm willing to take any.
I squinted as I looked up at the sun through the water. I paddled harder, and I submerged for breath. I dive back under, and I almost collide with a rock.
Ack, I think. I gotta watch out more. I got eyes for a reason. I carefully swim around the rock, and I stop abruptly. No-ho-hoooo! It can't be easy!I slide my way back through the green water, unsure of wether I wanted to truly end the chase. I loose my speed, and I continues swimming backwards. Finally, I touch the rock I so eagerly left. Smiling, I take a great turn, and I almost gasp. I look the huge rock up and down. It's probably a great length of 70 feet high, only an inch or so shorter than the water. I saw a blacker, little area at the bottom, so let all m breath leave me, and I float to the top of the water. I take a great inhale, and I dive, just as elegant as a duck. I swim, pushing the water beneath my great feet. I lower myself to around the 20 feet range. I stare into the murky, scum-filled water and I see a pitch black enterance. Okay. Maybe it is a challenge! I think happily. I let that thought rouse my mind, and I enter the cave, hoping for nothing. Just for fun. I cant see due to the large, cave like pit in the swamp, and I swim for minutes. I nearly start thinking this will be long enough to kill me, but before I even finish that thought, I reach air, and I gasp. I se the convict, and multiple bands of humans. I didn't think about it, but I got up and barked. Maybe my size got them, maybe not. Maybe the looks of me, maybe not. But, they all stopped, and stared at me, the most priceless expressions on their faces.
"Henry, what's that?" I hear the tallest queak.
The shortest one yells, "I dunno! Get a-away from h-here! It might be a tracker!" I smile, the best one can with tight, water-proof lips, and I bark again. My hackle-less back tingles where my hackles would be. I growl, feirce, and it echoes. I find it impressive. Then, I march forward, trying to show off my frills. I scan all of the trembling little cowards, and I finally find the one with the necklace. I then march forward to him, and I sit, and look expectantly at his hand.
The convict yells, "Take it!" Was I that scary? No idea. My size was what scared them? I'm not sure. But, I recall picking it up, and setting it down. Then, my favorite part, is the taste of the human. He had that murky, salt taste to him, and I enjoyed the salt in his skin. I bit him, and it took them to his knees. I then, realising that the water was the only way out, I feel satisfied. I dive, after inhaling well, and I strut through the water. I arrive at the water and stick my green-ish head out of the water. I bark like a maniac, until I hear a voice, comng from a weird flying thing above.
"Tracker dogs, all back!" I nearly sigh, and I start swimmig back.
I restlessly think, And his name was Henry.

Tracker Dog #26 | Available until March 10
Gender: Male
With a bit of an attitude, this Tracker demands a lot from his new owner. He's good, I'll give him that, but he doesn't like the company of other animals. He loves praise as much as he loves a challenge. He's very good in murky waters, or even in swamplike areas. As long as it's a challenge, he's up for it.

Tracker Dog you want:
Number 26!
Name you'll give it:
His proper name will be απαιτητικός δυσκολίες, which is "Demanding Difficulties" in Greek. Unfortunately, myself and most others cannot pronounce this name. The Tracker himself is the only one who truly knows what his real name sounds like, I guess. Because of this... challenge, he likes to say that his name is just Demanding Difficulties, but for a laugh he goes by Greek. The name Demanding Difficulties comes from the brief description you gave, which says that he is very demanding and likes a good, difficult challenge. The whole part about translating it into Greek... well, who doesn't like the look of Greek symbols?
Reason why you want it:
Last round I tried for #23, who I thought was the ultimate Tracker. When I didn't win, I was a little upset, but I understood why you picked who you did and I decided not to hold a grudge. I promised myself to apply for this round. When I finally looked through the new designs today, my heart skipped a beat for one Tracker on that page: #26. I forgot all about #23. I remember that before I looked through the designs for the first time, I looked at the lines. I knew that I wanted an Aquatic. When I saw the Tracker I applied for last time, I thought that maybe my dreams of owning an Aquatic weren't meant to become real. I thought that I would grow to like the original Tracker best. But now, with Arrow as #23's owner, I realize that I do like the Aquatics best, and that will never change. Apart from having the lines I wanted in the first place, my favorite color is green. His colors are magnificent. I never thought that I would like the deep, green-and-beige colors on this beauty, as I normally prefer a softer apple green, but I have to admit that these colors do look great on him. My friends always say I'm like a snake, charming yet evil. (Some great friends I've got, eh? Haha, they're awesome.) Of course, this Tracker also has a snake/serpent printed on him.

Will it be used in any kind of story?
If I do get him, he probably would be used in a story that I would most likely create on Microsoft Word. If I did do the whole "story" thing, I would give you full credit for the Tracker breed and his design, and I would post the story here as proof that I'm actually working on it.
Describe its personality:
Demanding
Greek, although very focused and self-confident (perhaps too much), is extremely demanding. It is believed by his owner and all others that truly know him that Greek is convinced that the world is centered around him. Greek reminds me of myself in this manner. We are both hard-workers, but at the end of the day we've got a half-dozen people attending to us. :D
Challenging
Greek is always up for a challenge, and always willing to give one. He's got his own jobs to attend to, and he's got other jobs to give out! If he is offered a choice he will always want to do the harder one... all for the praise, of course.
Attention-Seeking
I don't know one Tracker that loves praise more. He can be very serious, and tends to stay out of proper conversation, but when it comes to cuddles Greek turns into a big love bug.
Confident
Greek is confident in everything he does. Sometimes his confidence can be over the top. He thinks that he can do anything with no assistance.
Likes
Greek is happy with most anything, but he especially likes sugar cookies, murky and dirty water, praise (of course), and any hard mission.
Dislikes
Greek doesn't like a lack of treats (then again, who does like that), having guests over or being in a crowd of people, and oatmeal raisin cookies!

Write an introduction for your Tracker:
(If I win him and make the full story, this will be my actual intro. The basic plot is that Greek is accidentally adopted out to a mad and cruel ghost who is convinced that his soul is still hidden away on Earth, waiting to be discovered. He believes that if he finds it he will be reborn. So he steals Greek from the lab in the midst of his training and forces him to use his tracking skills to search for the soul for him. Greek doesn't find out who the man really is or what he is looking for until the end of the story, when he finally stands up to the ghost and shows him all of the brutal and awful things he has done. This makes the man a better person, and forces him to make a hard decision... if the plot is too, uh, violent and creepy, let me know. ;) )

It was around midnight, and the sky was dark and cold. There was a new moon tonight, so I had no light to work by apart from the faint twinkle of stars. I turned to my owner, who's image seemed to flicker in the dark atmosphere. I shivered as the freezing air buffeted my fur and as an evil feeling spread across of me that seemed to radiate off of the man. I shook off the feeling and payed attention to what I was doing. I lowered my nose and sniffed at the ground, but my heart wasn't in it at all. I wasn't meant to search on land. I was meant for the water.
The man glared at me and I stopped. I watched him, wanting to know what he was looking for. After a second or two he yelled at me and told me to get back on the job.

At last he lead me to a muddy river. I got exited and bounced around on my paws. The man just yelled at me again and told me to stay still. He unhooked my leash from my collar and I dived right in. I played around in the water, splashing and bathing in mud and dirt from the riverbed. My enthusiasm, however, was short lived. I felt a strange burning on my neck, and I turned around to find the man glowing red. The source of it all seemed to be his eyes, which burned even in the darkness of the night. Naturally, I stopped thrashing about and playing.
"GET TO WORK!!" he yelled, shaking in anger.
I turned around and dived to the bottom of the river, and I looked around. There was nothing here but dirt, tin cans, plastic bottles, soda caps, and a couple of fish bones.

Finally we headed home, which wasn't really the equivalent to a home at all, considering that it wasn't a house and I was alone all night because the man left me there after the day. This didn't bother me so much, considering that I prefer being alone, and the place wasn't the worst. I had a mat from the dump to lay on. On either side of the mat were rock walls, and the roof was made out of scrap wood (also from the dump). It was pretty weather proof, and it was huge. At the back there was a hole in the roof where the sunlight filtered in in the morning and moonlight washed in in the night. Because of this, some grass grew. I often laid things that I had found in this area. The entrance at the front and the exit at the back were also mostly covered by rocks, but thin gaps were left to get through.

As I settled down, I thought the day through. Only three things I was sure of:
1. My "owner" was not normal.
2. Normal humans are not supposed to glow red.
3. Whatever the man was looking for, it must have been really important. If it wasn't, and if he doesn't thank me once I find it... oh, he's going to get it!
