Workshop One - Day One Exercise

What is your Kalon’s first, middle, and last name (if they have one)?
Her name is Caedus, and she rejected having a middle and last name a long time ago. Way back when, she was called Sasha Rennie Venguard, but that's a day she'd like to forget. It reminds her too much.

Does your Kalon have a human appearance as well? If so, what do they look like?

Her human appearance has black skin, short and straight red hair, and a gray leather jacket. She has several accessories such as a keychain with her shine design, and fake horns. She wears contacts so her scleras appear black.

Does you Kalon have any family members? If so, blood related or adopted?

She has three kits, Artemis, Alice Songbird, and Cader Pilore. She isn't in contact with any of them, though she's thinking of starting anew with a second litter.

Who is your Kalon the closest too? Why?

She'd have to call Atiya her closest friend and love interest. Atiya found Cae when she was weak and tired from traveling, and saving somebody's life really helps you form a bond.

What sort of occupation does your Kalon have? Do they enjoy it?

Cae currently has no occupation. She's mooching off of Atiya and thieving. She doesn't really care for it but hard, honest work has never appealed to her.

List some of your Kalons likes and dislikes and give an explanation as to why.

Some of her likes include deer, cheese, Tokyo and Skyrim.
She likes deer as they have horns just as her, and she thinks they are noble, graceful creatures.
She likes cheese simply because it's good.
She likes Tokyo due to all the bright lights. She says it's truly a sight to behold.
She likes Skyrim due to the adventure and open world of it, and since she enjoys RPG games.

She dislikes waffles, batteries, porcupines and seashells.
She doesn't like waffles because through a stroke of bad luck, all the ones she's had have turned out horrible.
She dislikes batteries because when she was young, her mother told her she could get electrocuted from them.
She dislikes porcupines because she's scared of getting pricked.
She doesn't like seashells because they remind her of her old home by the seashore.

What is your Kalons biggest weakness and strength?

She holds on to the past and holds grudges. She can't forgive, she can't forget.
She's strong and sneaky, skills she prides herself in and always brags about.

Hydra Uorsin he doesn't have a middle name
Does your Kalon have a human appearance as well? If so, what do they look like?
Hydra doesn't have a set human appearance but I imagine him to be kinda tall with a fit body, with slightly tanned skin.
Does you Kalon have any family members? If so, blood related or adopted?
Hydra does have a family living somewhere but he doesn't want anything to do with them because he ran away from home when he was 16
Who is your Kalon the closest too? Why?
Hydra is pretty close with all of his customers at his bar but the closest would be his mate Haruka. Hydra doesn't really like talking about himself to others even when he has conversations with other kals at his bar its mainly focused on them and not himself, Haruka is one of the only kalons that Hydra has opened up to.
What sort of occupation does your Kalon have? Do they enjoy it?
Hydra is the owner of a bar as well as the bartender for his bar. He enjoys his job a lot because he gets to talk to all sorts of kalons and hear about different stories.

List some of your Kalons likes and dislikes and give an explanation as to why.

What is your Kalons biggest weakness and strength?
Hydra's biggest strength would probably be his ability to keep a clear head and think before acting on a situation while his biggest weakness would probably be Haruka, when Haruka visits hydra at the bar he stops talking to whoever hes talking to and will immediately rush over to where Haruka is sitting.

Does your Kalon have a human appearance as well? If so, what do they look like?
She does not, but if she did, she would be lean and strong. Average height, her sword always sheathed at her waist, and her messy purple hair tied back in a loose ponytail so as not to get in her way of seeing.

Does you Kalon have any family members? If so, blood related or adopted?
Yes, she does. Her father is my kal Chevron Mendel, and they are blood related. However, they aren't close because she fled home at a young age to escape her future as an innkeeper. Her father figure now is another kal I own, Wesley Sherlock

Who is your Kalon the closest too? Why?
Liberty is closest to Wesley, the Captain of the pirate ship she found herself on after leaving home. He and her bonded quickly, sharing a similar background and craving for adventure. He also took her under his wing and taught her everything he knows. If it were a school, Liberty would be his star student.

What sort of occupation does your Kalon have? Do they enjoy it?
Well, Liberty (now called Mercy by the crew), is a pirate. And to answer your question, yes. She adores it more then anything in the world. It gives her a filling sense of freedom, and she loves the thrill of stealing and fighting. Having allies and then breaking them last minute to get a profit. She isn't necessarily mean-spirited, it's just that this is how she grew up. She doesn't remember much of her life back at her old home. Barely even remembers her real father.

List some of your Kalons likes and dislikes and give an explanation as to why.
Likes
-Racing: Mercy absolutely loves racing against other ships. Sometimes, when the rumors of a huge treasure originate, news spreads like wildfire. From there, it's a race to the spot where the treasure is. Over the course of weeks, every ship is in an unspoken competition to get there first.

-Bugs: Contrary to many kalons, Mercy actually enjoys bugs. She finds them fascinating. She does have a few memories of her real father, one of them being the two of them looking at a ladybug together, and Chevron telling her legends about ladybugs. Guess that interest subconsciously stuck with her after she left.

Dislikes
-Singing: Oh my gosh. It is so annoying when the crew does this. It's not so much the singing as it is the fact that their voices crack the higher they go. Not to mention it's pretty embarrassing...

-Killing: Uh, yeah. Mercy isn't really a fan of that part of her job. That's why the crew calls her Mercy. She'll often let someone go with a large amount of scarring injuries, but she hates killing other kalons. You only get one life, and she doesn't want to be the one to take that away.

What is your Kalons biggest weakness and strength?

Mercy's biggest strength is her ability to be kind underneath all that tough outer shell she's grown over the years. She has a kind heart, like her father did, and deep down it's buried somewhere. Kalons will have their own views and perceptions, but Mercy isn't quite what they always make her out to be. She does have morals, small as they may be, and they are prominent in her actions.

Mercy's biggest weakness is most likely self-control. Now, despite her being a kind kalon deep down, you must remember that she has grown up around pirates. She has a short temper and a tough exterior, and she is very quick to retort and defend herself.

Starling is a scheming and conniving little boy, and is what most would call a villain. However, he isn't all in it for the actual villaining part. He likes the show of it all. Being evil is quite fun, and that's mostly what he likes about it. Sure, Starling has a few whom he is out to get revenge on, but mostly he just likes putting himself out there in a sort of crazy way.

celeste is an upbeat, happy kalon overall. she loves cheering kalons up when they're down, or just cheering them up when they're happy! she loves kits, and is excited to have her own someday with the love of her life, aiko. celeste isn't usually in a bad mood, but she almost never gets mad. even when she gets mad, it's usually calm anger for some guy who doesn't care about the environment.

celeste grace bluebell!

does your kalon have a human appearance as well? if so, what do they look like?
yes!! celeste is quite short, has long, brown hair, and is quite pale. she keeps her black scleras and white eyes, giving her a little bit of a spooky appearance. she stays in shape only because she is always up and about trying to water her plants. she does have both arms missing, but has an old prosthetic she decorated with flowers she uses on one arm. she wears cute dresses sometimes, but her casual wear is shorts and a tank top. it's hard to wear jackets, so she finds the cutest vests she can if it's cold outside! celeste is nearly always found with some sort of flowers adorning her hair.

does you kalon have any family members? if so, blood related or adopted?
yes, all blood relatives. celeste has her mom sage, her dad finn, along with two other siblings!

who is your kalon the closest too? why?
celeste will always be closest to her mom. she loves being able to go to her for advice, or a good time. or motivation. they have such a close bond, sage can tell when something is wrong. celeste will always come to sage for guidance, leaving her small cabin in the woods to trek out to sage's cabin. the way celeste was raised also played a large part, despite her upbeat and caring attitude, celeste was teased about her missing limbs all through kindergarten. it really put a damper on her mood. sage always helped celeste do what're she couldn't, including helping her walk on two legs as a kit.

what sort of occupation does your kalon have? do they enjoy it?
celeste owns a small flower shop in a friendly little town. she tends to her herbs and plants, selling them to the nice kalons that live in the town. she loves spending her whole day, talking with the residents and arranging flowers. locals love her shop, celeste always provides free sugar cookies for patrons. she loves to play with the little kits and put flowers on their hair.

list some of your kalons likes and dislikes and give an explanation as to why.

she loves the smells and the beauty of the delicate little petals!
- social interaction!
celeste thinks that talking and being apart of what's happening is a crucial thing to do! you never know what will happen. you could go down in history, or just meet a new friend!
- scented candles!!
she loves the way they warm the room, enveloping you in a gentle aura of pleasant smells! the way the flames flicker and bobble is so fun to watch, not to mention blowing them out when it's time to go out! celeste would always make a wish when she blew them out as a kid, making her mom sage angry because she blew out all the candles.

dislikes
- being teased.
celeste doesn't like being ridiculed for her loss of limbs. it was something she had no control over, and sometimes feels very embarrassed because of that.
- dead things!
things like roadkill, weeds, and dead flowers make celeste sad. dead animals mean someone's carelessness on the road, resulting in a loss of life. weeds are a sign of parasitic death and hurt. and dead flowers mean someone let the flowers die by neglecting them.

what is your kalons biggest weakness and strength?
celeste' biggest weakness is her lacking of limbs. it makes it hard to do basic things, and she often requires assistance. her biggest strength is her ability to stay positive and persevere. her favorite saying is 'tomorrow is another day.'

Prompt: Hunter is a sweet, responsible little girl. She's a conflict resolver and is always right there when she's needed. She tries to be strong for those she loves, but she secretly houses some of her own problems such as anorexia. She doesn't like to rely on anyone else and takes pride in her independence. She puts others before herself. When she's on the soccer field, she is an entirely new person. She's confident and speedy and agile. She feels the best when she's on the field with a soccer ball.

Who is your Kalon the closest too? Why? Avery is the closest to her mom. Kato and Jaden are the closest to each other. Carson is the closest to his mate, Moswen... Bubbles is the closest to Avery... Hunter and Jordan are the closest to their dads.
What sort of occupation does your Kalon have? Do they enjoy it? Avery works at a bowling alley. She kind of enjoys it? Bubbles is a receptionist at a doctor's office. She enjoys it! Kato is a coach for the Pineridge Unicorns' soccer team! He loves it! Jaden does nothing. He sleeps and eats. He loves it. Jordan stays home with Jaden and plays video games! He loves it! Hunter is on her dad's soccer team! She loves it <3

Avery; Likes loud noise, likes music, dislikes quiet, dislikes sitting still. Because of her ADHD she can't sit still and she has to be making noise!

Jaden; He likes quiet. He likes video games. He likes his couch. He hates children. He hates loud noises. He's a lazy grump.

Barclay His work partner and roommate, Bella. He's attracted to her quirkiness and her caring attitude towards him, and he took care of her after she'd been homeless for a long while.
Ashling His studies. Ashling's scientific career is the most important thing in his life, and he feels attached to the study of astronomy as strongly as a loving spouse feels for the other spouse.
Beau Ashling, his college roommate, whom he understands nothing about but is completely obsessed with.
Karsten Beau, who was Karsten's childhood best friend. He was crushed to find Beau would loose contact with him the first chance he got, but he loves him nonetheless.
Wynnstan Beowulf. The two have shared everything every step of the way, and get along better with each other than their sister does with either one of them.
Beowulf Wynnstan. Secretly Beowulf kind of hates him, but he loves the secrets his brother shares and his secret genius. They know each other so well.

What sort of occupation does your Kalon have? Do they enjoy it?

Barclay Barclay is a forensic microbiologist and personal detective of the royalty. He loves his job, but it exhausts him and he wonders if there is something out there that's better for him. Overall, though, it's something he can sink his teeth into, and he loves the thrill of the hunt.
Ashling Ashling works at a local science museum. He doesn't really enjoy the job because he mostly sorts papers and gives tours to visitors, whereas his dream is to help explore the stars firsthand.
Beau Beau is a traveling street musician. He loves the job and seems to be unaware that he makes below minimum wage and his career isn't really going anywhere.
Karsten Karsten has many different passions and would be happy with many types of jobs. As of now he's a personal trainer, which is decent but not his favorite thing. He loves inventing and bird watching, though, which he does on the side.
Wynnstan Wynnstan has no job, but hopes to get into forensics like his parents.
Beowulf Beowulf doesn't have a job or any direction as to what he would like to do.

List some of your Kalons likes and dislikes and give an explanation as to why.

Barclay Likes: horchata, a Mexican drink. He loves it because it is sweet but not overly so and can be made fairly easily. Dislikes: his boss. That man is such a headache.
Ashling Likes: debates. What's not to like about sharing opinions in an open and fair situation? Dislikes: meat. It's simply an issue of not liking the taste.
Beau Likes: big cities. He loves seeing people pass by on the streets and the easy access to everything. Dislikes: not a lot, actually.
Karsten Likes: bird watching. It's a very relaxing activity with a true purpose. Dislikes: tests. What's the point, the test content never matches the material you go over in school!
Wynnstan Likes: junk food. It tastes great and it's bad for you. Awesome! Dislikes: being bothered. "Ugh, get away from me!"
Beowulf Likes: fashion. It's his aesthetic. Dislikes: fruit! Who knows why, he won't even go near them in the grocery store!

What is your Kalons biggest weakness and strength?

Barclay Weakness: perpetual lack of sleep. People aren't supposed to work on two hours of sleep a day. Strength: observation skills. Just like Sherlock Holmes, but if you tell him I said that he'll be furious.
Ashling Weakness: emptiness. He's always felt he's been missing something, but what? Strength: eclectic knowledge. Don't bring up any topic around him unless you know everything there is to know. He will destroy and correct any misstep you make.
Beau Weakness: how oblivious he is! Pay attention for once!! Strength: his charm. He draws the attention of many admirers.
Karsten Weakness: limited travel. He doesn't have the money to see the world, but that's what he really needs to use his full potential. Strength: his creative mind. He thinks like no one else, and that isn't a bad thing.
Wynnstan Weakness: his eye for trouble. Wynnstan loooves causing trouble. Strength: his cool factor.
Beowulf Weakness: concern for his family. He refuses to do anything that might compromise the happiness of his family, causing him to miss some promising opportunities. Strength: his ability to respect people where respect is due, and snap back when that's what is deserved.
