How He Got His Scars:
Bayonet served on board a pirate ship for most of his young life, after he was abandoned by his parents near a shack by the sea. He got the scars after fighting in a nasty battle against some fierce creatures of the sea against the pirate ship. At a later date, Bayonet left the pirate life and decided to become a marine biologist, bent on determining precisely what had attacked him and how he could better understand the creature, so as not to be attacked again. To this day he still hasn't figured it all out - but that's okay. He's sure he'll figure it out someday.
