The soft black tom sighed quietly, flicking his tail tip. "Alright." He replied, now a bit more calm. Glancing up at the sky, a rain drop fell on his forehead and he shook it off.

The fluffy brown tabby tom sighed in relief, flicking his ear. Great, I finally caught something. Wait, what if I'm kicked out of DarkClan? I can't protect the territory right, or hunt even! He thought, frowning slightly as he looked at the small rabbit he had just caught.

The sleek black tom nodded, flicking his ear. He had missed the hungry look that she had when she saw the fish, as he had turned away. I wonder where Tempest is.

⇨ She was slightly reassured by the light feline's tone. Surrender my freshkill? She thought, looking down at the small prey she had managed to catch. A bit reluctant at first, she nodded and bent down to pick up the shrew. What if they don't feed her later on? Is that something these cats would do to punish her for stealing their prey? She looked towards the darker tom, then the she-cat. So Duskpaw's the dark one, and Clearpaw's the pale one.. Their names made sense, though she didn't understand why they both ended with 'paw'. It's not like their paws seemed special by any means. "My name is Summer." It was difficult for her to speak with the shrew in her mouth as she followed behind, careful not to fully let her guard down.

"Hello Magpie," Flare greeted, at loss for anything else to say. He was still watching her when Percy asked if she liked fish, though he didn't notice anything unusual about her reaction except for her attempt to seem casual. At least, he thought she was faking her casualty... but Flare didn't really know Magpie enough to tell the difference. "You should try it," he offered, nudging one of the fish toward her, curious to see what she'd do.

"Wow! What a beautiful name." Clearpaw replied cheerfully as she began to follow in Duskpaw's steps. "It's such a pleasure to meet you." She added, pausing briefly to look around. She knew where exactly where they were because she had been hunting here many times. They were right by the border, but not far from camp. It would probably only take them a few minutes to reach it. Clearpaw turned and quickly caught up with the group. "So, Summer. How many moons old are you?" She asked casually, as she fell back into step with the other cats. "I'm eleven moons old." She said proudly, as if it were an accomplishment.

Magpie faked a look of distaste at Flare's offer. When a fish was passed in her direction, she backed away from it as if were a piece of crow-food. "Where did y'all find those things?" She asked loudly, pretending to be disgusted, which was a difficult thing to do, since the smell made her mouth water.

The soft black tom stayed silent as Clearpaw chatted with Summer, not exactly trusting her yet. After a few moments, they soon reached their camp. He padded in, albeit a bit nervous as to what would happen.

The fluffy brown tabby tom continued to hunt, getting in the hang of it. Yes! Got another one! Wait, what is this called? He thought, after he had caught a finch.

The sleek black tom held back a purr of amusement. "Nikita and Flare here caught them." He answered, after a few moments.

"Are you alright, Magpie?" Flare asked, perhaps a bit concerned. The DarkClan elder was typically happy, and although she had her grouchy moments as all cats did, he never had witnessed her being what was almost rude. "You don't have to try the fish if you don't want to, I was simply offering. If you'd like you could just have a mouse or a shrew... if you're even hungry at all." He felt bad that Magpie was in a bad mood, and he didn't want to push anything onto her she didn't want, as he was then convinced that she did not want anything to do with the fish.

Magpie's cheeks colored when Flare became concerned and started to ask if she was alright. She didn't want to admit to him that she actually liked fish- it was her secret. But, perhaps she took her acting a bit too far this time. "Im fine, dear." She replied, her voice becoming softer. "It's just been a while since I seen one, that's all. I'd forgotten how unusual they look." She lied, attempting a feign smile. "How did you two manage to catch them, anyways?" She asked, avoiding his other questions and quickly diverting the attention from herself.

Nikita chuckled alongside Percy at Magpie's reaction. But, unlike his friends, he knew that what Magpie was doing was just an elaborate act. Nikita playfully rolled his eyes at the elder's detailed lies and her faked smiles, but he gave no hint to Flare or Percy that Magpie was just pretending. "Flare taught me how. He's an expert." He told her with a grin, glancing at the ginger tom.

⇨ Summer grew hot with embarrassment at the compliment. "Thank you... She mumbled, her eyes wide and her whiskers twitching. "I'm ten moons." She said, almost feeling relieved that the she-cat was about the same age as her. She tried to dip her head respectfully to the older cat, appearing silly by doing so, her dangling prey flopping in her grasp as she her head moved.

As Duskpaw calmly lead them through the fern tunnel and into camp, Clearpaw bounded ahead of him unable to contain her excitement. The possibility of getting a new den-mate, and one that was also a she-cat was too much to bear after moons of only having the quiet little tom to talk to. "Wow! Do you hear that Duskpaw?" She called turning around to face dark tom. "You're both ten moons old. What a coincidence!" She laughed, perhaps a bit over-zealously. "I'll go and find Mistystar." Clearpaw told them, cheerfully padding in the direction of the leader's den.

Flare was missing something, he knew it. Though, he supposed it wasn't truly his business. But still, how could Magpie go from uncharacteristically grumpy to normal? He was curious, but at the same time he didn't really care to know. It was an odd feeling. "I wouldn't call myself an expert. Besides, Nikita here is the main reason we caught the rabbit. At least the Clan will appreciate it, unlike the fish."
